I have been a fan of the Lips games since back in 2009 when I first purchased the original game. This game can be purchased alone for around £14.99 or with the microphones for £42.99, however, if you shop around then it's easier to find this game pre-owned, with microphones, for around £30.00. I have previously purchased the microphones but after one of them was water damaged and was only working intermittently I decided it was best just to buy a new pair so I could then have another spare just in case I did damage another one. The microphones that come with this game are wireless and with just a couple of button presses you can sync these to your Xbox to ensure that they working accurately. The microphones are very sturdy and are well weighted. It's fairly easy to replace the batteries (2 x AA required) by just unscrewing the top of the microphone and then opening a small section. I actually use the top of the microphone that I have just removed to open the battery section with ease as we usually take the batteries out between uses to ensure that our rechargeable ones are always kept topped up. The microphones are well made and have withheld many a knock from me in the past, unfortunately when I managed to drop one in to a pint glass it did not hold up quite as well but then it's quite obvious that a pint of beer would damage a microphone really! The microphones light up when you are using them and they sync in time with the main songs that come preloaded on the game. This is cool and very pretty, particularly if you are playing in the dark. The layout of this lips game is the same as the other games in the series making it very easy to begin playing immediately if you have used a Lips game in the past. You can dive in to the singing straight away if you want to or you can use the jukebox to randomly pick songs for you; this is something we often use if we have friends round. You can also add songs from your MP3 device and this is very simple, there is no limit to the amount of songs you can add and this is fantastic for increasing the longevity of the game This game is perfectly designed for playing solo or playing with friends. You can play on your own to unlock medals and work towards Microsoft Achievements or you can play with friends & do the same. If you are midway through a song and a friend wants to play it is very simple for them to just pick up the microphone, give it a shake and join in mid song. This game is quite similar to Singstar in that the words come up on the screen making it easy to sing along. This is a fantastic karaoke game that is very easy to use and you don't need to be an Xbox 360 expert to play along with this game and just have fun! As well as singing in the game you may have to strike poses throughout the game in order to earn more points and beat your friends or the Worldwide leaderboard. This is just another fun addition to the game and over time I have found myself getting more and more in to the games and enjoying the poses as they make me feel just a tiny bit cool and like I am really involved in the game! Each lips game allows you to earn 1,000 Microsoft gamer points and if you buy the different games then there are different achievements and some that you can work towards in all of the games. This just keeps the fun going for me and with a gamer score of many thousand now it's fair to say that I'm a little bit addicted to earning more points! There is the solo mode, co-op mode or you can battle against your friends. There are lots of different features within these games such as the kissing game where you have to try and sync your voice with your opponent and then make them kiss. These little games are quite fun and add something extra to the game. There are lots of fantastic songs on this game including songs from Timbaland, Rihanna, MC Hammer, Coldplay & Culture Club. There are enough songs on here (around 30) to keep most parties occupied for a good few hours and there should be a song on this disc for everyone to know and enjoy. I have returned back to this game and enjoyed playing it on quite a few occasions. I never tire of the songs providing I don't play it everyday and it's one of those games with lots of longevity as you can download new songs via Xbox Live and have battles with your friends to keep things fresh. If you are a fan of singing, whether you have a good voice or not, then I would firmly recommend this game to you. It's easy to set up, easy to use and great fun for almost the whole family. The microphones are funky and easy to use and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this game.
