“ Brand: Swatch / Watch for: Unisex „
Wgen I first was given this particular Swatch I did not immediately take to it mainly due to the fact that the colours of the watch strap did not really blend with the watch face however over time it has grown on me a bit but it is still not one that I wear very often. It is a reliable and accurate time piece that has never let me down.
The strap is a little unusual compared with the normal plastic or stainless steel options Swatch use in that it is a leather strap with a textile layer on top of it, the designs on the strap are varied but a lot of reds and oranges dominate, when I first saw it I assumed it was an Aztec design however I then learnt fron the promotional blurb that it is based upon Indonesian designs.
I like the watch face design, it has a clear plastic case and the dial itself is round with a gold centre circle and then the outer ring is an orange colour as it is meant to symbolise the sun. There are only two numbers on the watch face, the 12 and 6 with the other hour positions marked out by gold dots. The hour and minute hands are quite slender with a swirly design on them however there is no second hand on this watch which is a bit annoying as I prefer to have one on a watch, not that I'm that obsessed with the time but it is useful to have if boiling an egg as we have no clocks in the kitchen.
Overall the design is ok, and like all Swatches it is a reliable, simple time piece but there is no real wow factor with this watch and there are lots of better designs out there. It is a few years old now so hard to find in the shops but is available online at around the £50 mark.
