I have a couple of Seksy watches because I think that they look lovely and also the ones that I have bought I bought online during sales so I got them for really good prices. This one has a recommended retail price of 59.99 but I managed to buy it for 19.99 which was a price that I was very pleased about. The watch is made by Sekonda and has circular stainless steel pieces making up the bracelet part and inside each of these circles there are smaller circular cutouts. The face is made of mother of pearl and has two small crystals placed where the 12 and 6 would normally be. There are also 3 other crystals placed next to the face. It is a very pretty looking watch and the crystals might be small but they do glint when they catch the light which gives a lovely effect. It is quite a delicate looking watch and goes with a variety of outfits. I have worn it with dresses but it is equally at home worn with just a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. It is comfortable to wear and doesn''t feel heavy on my wrist. I like wearing a watch but I don''t want it to feel heavy and bulky when I am wearing it and this one doesn''t. There are two removable links on the watch which you can remove yourself to adjust the size of it and make it small enough to fit your wrist. The watch would also make a lovely gift for someone as it comes in a nice presentation box and looks very stylish and more expensive than what I paid for it. It also comes with two year guarantee. The only thing about the watch that I wish I could change is that it seems to scratch very easily and so doesn''t look pristine for long. The scratches are small and can''t really be seen from a distance but I know they are there.
Seksy Ladies Watch.....
I have to admit to being a little bit of a watch fanatic and I have far too many watches which not only I have bought for myself but friends, family and Himself have often purchased them for me over the years.
This Seksy Ladies wrist watch was not one that I bought for myself, or indeed would I have bought it either. Thanks goes to Himself's mother for buying me it as she knew I was into watches and had bought me one prior (which wasn't too bad).
The watch retails for around the £50 region but knowing how Himself's mother likes to keep her purse close, she has bound to have got it at least half this retail price I suspect.
The Seksy watch is made by Sekonda and comes housed within a nice little black box which states the brand on the outside. The box came with both a wrist size gauge and the little booklet on the guarantee of the product which is a standard 2 years manufacturer one. The box is of a nice size and I have kept this as I do with all my watch boxes to keep different things in. This one I have kept all my stud earrings in.
The watch itself is a dark silver type chrome colour and it is rather heavy compared with a lot of other watch I have and this does to me seem like it might be of a good quality. The strap was just the right size but it could be taken in as there are special links that can be detached and the instructions on doing this is in the booklet.
I like my watches to be rather loose and flap about somewhat (don't ask me why) but I would have to say if you did have a very chunky wrist (like I used to), then it might be a struggle to get this watch on with the links provided. When I was a lot larger I used to have trouble with buying watches as they were often too small and I would have to buy extra links to attach on which was a right pain.
The watch itself is not something I would have chosen as it is similar to others I have, but not as nice. The black face is not really to my liking but the fact that this is black mother of pearl makes it slightly better as it does shimmer slightly in the light. I am not to keen on the hands of the watch as they are short, dumpy and pointy which doesn't make it only easy to read, especially after a few drinks or in the dark.
The silver hands do show up nicely against the black face of the watch which is at least one positive thing I have to say about it. There are two little gems at the 6 O clock and the 12 O clock position and at the 3 O clock ad 9 O clock there are just little pieces of silvered coloured metal.
The face of the watch is set into the main watch base at a slightly strange just slightly off centre positioning which was the first thing that I saw when I looked at this watch which I didn't overly like but I think they have done this to be able to fit in the three other silver gems that the watch has which are set next to the face at the 9 O clock position.
The strap is made up of small discs with holes cut out which again are all slightly off the centre and I will often find myself catching these on things (probably because I wear my watch rather loose).
Although there is no second hand turning round on the watch, you can still hear a ticking noise coming from the back and it has kept the time well as each time I get it out of my watch draw the time is correct.
There are no special features of this watch and really it is nothing more than a strange looking wrist watch.
I have had this watch now for a little under a year but it really is not one I wear that often as like I said I have similar looking ones which are nicer. However the battery has not needed replacing yet and I have been thinking about selling it before it does need replacing as generally I don't like the look of it.
On the whole it is a well made, affordable ladies wrist watch but it is not one of my favourites. I think because of the strange look which to me isn't appealing, I will award a 2 out of 5 star rating.
I don't think it is a bad watch, just one that isn't very attractive.
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you
