We had this washing machine now for 3 years, it is used every day (children, dog and husband who works in construction) and it's never so much as faltered.
The wash cycles on this machine are brilliant for busy people, as i work in an office my clothes often just need a freshen up, and with a wash cycle that is only 15 mins this is fantastic and then to get his work clothes clean, which come home caked in mud and other unidentifiable muck, the 2.5 hour wash has them coming out like new.
My favourite part of this machine is the 1600 rpm spin speed, clothes come out slightly damp, the only draw back to this is that it tends to crease the clothes more. (but if you have a tefal steam generator iron, this is no problem at all, see my other review for the iron)
I won't go into the specifications as it is all up there, but i'd recommed this machine for any size family, it's quiet enough (until they invent a silent machine!) and cleans the clothes brilliantly. The only downside to this machine is the buttons and the fact that the baby likes to play with them, so i often go back to hang the clothes out 2 hours later to find the baby has turned it off, or changed the spin speed, which has given a few interesting results :o)
This review is actually of the WFR 3268 - the later version of this model. Only difference being something to do with the rinse cascade. The last washer we had lasted for 7 years and in that time never left clothes REALLY clean. We have a 7year old who has to wear white shirts for school and I've soaked, boiled, washed over and over and they still haven't come really clean. So, when things started to go wrong with it we decided to spend a little more than average and go for something with an excellent reputation - Bosch. This machine has cleaned stuff I'd never dreamed would come clean, those white shirts are white again, and on the fastest spin some items come out barely damp. The control manual gives clear concise instructions and the controls are very simple to use, There are variable wash times ranging from 30 mins to 2 and a half hours. The drum automatically adjusts to whatever weight of clothes you are washing and the time varies accordingly. The only disadvantage I've noticed so far is that you can only use the fastest spin with a cotton wash which is over 2 hours long - so far I've got past this by giving an extra spin at 1200. You still can't use the 1600 spin unless you're using the cotton wash though. Apart from this minor niggle - Brilliant product.
