Easy to use,one of the best washer/dryers around!

Zanussi have a long-standing reputation for excellence and have long become known as a name you can trust so when our existing appliance went up the swanny recently, I knew exactly where to go for a replacement! One of the things that sets Zanussi apart from any other brand is that all their appliances are apparently constructed from a polymer based material called Hicarboran that is extremely hard-wearing and supposedly cuts down on noise and vibration. I don't know much about that (such things are beyond my very basic knowledge of washer/dryers) but what I do know is that this material obviously works because it is true that every Zanussi I have owned has been significantly quieter than any other machine I have been around. I mean they're not silent by any means but they have always been noticeably quieter and this paticular model is certainly the quietest we have bought! This model on paper seemed ideal for people such as me and my wife who live busy, hectic lifestyles! Easy to operate (even I can understand how to operate it after a very simple crash course from Mrs.Sparky!), it was supposed to feature quicker wash cycles and enhanced performance but in practice, despite it delivering on performance, I am not sure if I would entirely agree with the claims about speed! Though it appears to wash very well, myself and my wife am not alone in thinking that some of the washes are a little bit...well....long. And though it has 21 wash cycles, I do wonder if this is perhaps a little bit of overkill as I am not entirely sure how many you will use. In our household, the most cycles we have used from the vast array on offer so far is 5! Still, I suppose it is always nice to have options..... But one of the things that really sold this paticular model to me is the fact that it is eco-friendly in that it incorporates something called "Fuzzy Logic;" this essentially means that the machine calculates automatically how much water is needed for the main wash and rinse cutting down on how much detergent and energy is needed! And in these difficult times, anything that helps save a bit of money, even if it's only a small amount, is a bonus not to mention the fact that everyone is now much more aware of being kind to the enviroment so in that respect, this ticks a couple more boxes than some other models straight away! With a 7kg wash load and a 5kg dry load, this machine is plenty big enough for my family's needs and has a child safety lock to prevent any unwanted accidents in the home that essentially means that you cannot open the machine immediately after it has finished. It is rated B for energy consumption and is a very quiet machine as I have said before and overall, we are both very pleased with it. My wife especially likes the fact that it has a timer on the display allowing you to see how long is left on a cycle and the fact that is easy t use means that she can actually trust me to do washing while she is out of the house. To be honest, I am still not sure whether this is a good or a bad thing!?! Overall, I think I am not alone in saying that myself and my wife wholeheartedly recommend this as a great washer/dryer combination. It has a couple of little niggles but with a comfortable price tag of just under £450, it's also within most people's budgets for a good, quality machine. And, if you shop around, you might even get a bit cheaper than that! Once again, Zanussi have proved themselves to be a name you can trust and if you are in the market for a new machine, then this is probably the one for you!
