Guilty pleasure that most people have seen at least once

If you ask people around the country what their guilty pleasure T.V show is I imagine most would respond with.... Jeremy Kyle. On the back of years of popular T.V talk shows Jeremy Kyle has a lot to live up to, as well as try and bring something different to the table. What difference he brings is himself, Jeremy Kyle is just a normal guy who has lived a normal life. In this he has made mistakes, gone through hard times and he has learnt from all his experiences. It has given him wisdom but made him into a level-headed, grounded guy. This comes across in the way he treats his guests and the way he handles himself around them.
But it is not all about Jeremy, there is a lot more to the show than just the man himself. You can't mention the Jeremy Kyle show without mentioning Graham. When guests come on and have problems they need further help with they are not simply booted out the studio at the end of the show, they have Graham to talk to them and help them out after. Graham is the shows resident psychiatrist on hand to help with anything from adopted children issues to cheating spouses.
And then there is the quests themselves. And what a bunch of guests they are. The usually everyday people on the show look like they have been dragged from the dregs of terrible estates, chav family in tow. I mean this in no disrespect to anyone from estates or event to chavs (I myself am from a council estate and have chav friends as well) it just happens to be the majority of the type of people that seem to be on these shows. The cat fight and shout their way through countless cheating accusations and those all important DNA tests!
This is not the entirety of the show though, there are some that are a little different. I watched an episode recently that was just about two 'celebrities', first was Jack Tweedy, the widow of Jade Goody, talking about his life with and without Jade. The second was an actress from Shameless (I can't remember her name as I don't watch Shameless) who talked about her problems with alcohol and weight. I found this to be very touching and very candid. In all shows Jeremy doesn't hold back, he says it as it is and he treats everyone equally.
All of this equates to great entertainment, whether you want to admit it or not.

Vile, depressing TV for sick people

For people who perhaps don't live in the UK and don't know what 'The Jeremy Kyle' show is, let me briefly outline the format of the show. On first glance, the show parallels Jerry Springer - it is a chat show that targets our almost innate human curiosity with other people's lives and their personal dramas. However, whereas Jerry Springer has an almost comical underlying feel to the over-the-top fights and arguments between guests, The Jeremy Kyle Show is something far bleaker. It validates the idea that it is perfectly acceptable to sit and judge a bunch of people who's lives have hit hot rock bottom and get off on their misery. The worst part of the show is watching a grown man throw hissy fits and play the role of moral judge. The show is perverse; it embodies the worst of modern society. How has TV come to this?

        Disadvantages

        So-So.

Jeremy Kyle is one of those shows where you really don't want to watch, but when its on and you've got a day off work you find yourself watching it...

Personally, I don't know how the show has lasted 8 or 9 years?! His show is one of the most famous shows in the UK. I find the man himself; rude, gobby and aggressive. He likes to say his peace, which is fair enough as I suppose it is his show. But he has a team of security guards and a laughing audience behind him, he is often rude to some people who I wouldn't say deserved it - he makes most of his guests look like "low lifes", which I suppose to a degree is true. However, if I was the one taking the war of words from Mr. Jeremy Kyle I would bring up his past as he loves to reveal theirs, like his old gambling addiction and his alcoholism which he suffered years prior to the show.

The show is full of explosive tell-all guests who reveal many things on national television, which normal people would not reveal, least of all to millions of viewers. The endless DNA tests range from; accusations of affairs, stealing, family truths and other mischievous behaviour.

Of course, there has been funny moments too, whether it's people who have cheated on their partners and just sit there and shrug it off, people who steal from their grandmothers and just shrug it off or the best moment yet. When Jeremy Kyle got an envelope thrown at his head by a hilarious guest (YouTube it, it's hilarious!)

Some negative things about the show is, that to other countries watching it would look like the whole of the UK are benefit grabbing, thieving, promiscuous and vile people. Which of course is not true!

The show is usually aired weekly at 9:25am on ITV. Which is of course is usually a time of which most people are at work, so I only watch it occasionally if I have a day off work, or have recorded it in the morning (which is rare).

I think the thing that has made 'The Jeremy Kyle' show so successful is that it's totally unexpected, you never know what's going to happen next. It's also good for debates and to see where some people's priorities lie.

To be 100% honest, I have mixed feelings about the hit ITV show, I like it because it can be entertaining whether its somebody with all their teeth rotting yelling loudly at the other guests. The bad things is I think it's pretty vile how people can come on National Television and air their dirty laundry. Also, I find Jeremy Kyle very hypocritical and annoying.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

If he can get a show, anyone can!

Jeremy Kyle is an ex-gambler, ex-alcoholic, ex-radio presenter and current TV presenter who suffers from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. His show is one of the best known shows in the UK and it's been brought over to the US. Instead of holding his peace, Jeremy Kyle speaks his mind, often in an aggressive manner. But he's got security guards and an audience behind him and the show exposes their guests as rotten chavs. If he hadn't have had all those people behind him, he'd probably keep his mouth shut.

Some people will do anything for their fifteen minutes of fame, particularly with those Reality TV Tarts that ITV spit out of these talent shows. Even accuse their husband with sleeping with Kerry Kotona. Watching The Jeremy Kyle Show is very much like smoking. You know it's bad, but you feel that you need it.

It usually includes verbal wars that lead to DNA tests, lie detectors, more arguments, various breakdowns and hundreds of ways for Jeremy Kyle to break down. It's quite repetitive to be honest, but once in a blue moon you'll find some interesting guests and the chemistry between Jeremy and them simply explode.

I think The Jeremy Kyle show is great sometimes. There are times where you do laugh and feel better about yourself after watching the show, but it's at the expense of other people's pain. It gives a terrible reflection of our country. It somehow makes me think how lucky I am not to have been in such a situation like the ones they show on Jeremy Kyle.

My personal favourite moment was when Jeremy Kyle got lobbed on the head by a envelope. The way he still tried to act like he was in charge. I thought it was a nice bit of karma. Jeremy Kyle takes pride in his "old fashioned values". Of course I had no idea that following women to the lady's toilets was old-fashioned.

I do think the show has genuine guests and also some actors. I've heard events where the police had to be involved in the show because of violent outburst that where cut from the show. I do however think that there's some fixing because I've never seen any posh people go on the show. The majority of the guests always seem to appear in scruffy, plain or skimpy clothes. I think it gives off some fake illusions to other countries that everyone in the benefit and working class of the UK are scum.

The show apparently aims to help people. They provide backstage therapists and counselling but on what you see on the screen is a bit different. I wouldn't call it a talk show because to me it's just a playground for demented and bored adults. Certain body language and waffle they come out with is so ridiculous. I should be ashamed for finding any of it funny.

Jeremy Kyle is the ring leader of this playground while these poor unfortunate souls and actors publicly humiliate themselves with their tales while the audience just sit and cheer the moment Jeremy flips. These kind of shows don't work, do they? Some of the guests and actors always come back for unfinished business. I think these kind of shows add insult to injury.

I think the show is good for debatable discussions. There have been times I found it had some educational messages on it. Many lessons that are learned the hard way at another's expense. I have mixed feelings about the show, while the show can be entertaining it's usually pretty disgusting. I have never been able to watch a complete episode of the show. I'd find it very hard to recommend the show as a whole as I do find it a chore. I'd probably share some clips to friends, but I don't fancy going through an entire sitting through the show.

I still don't understand how Jeremy Kyle got a show like this and it managed to have lasted so long. Was it some part of a bet?

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

A funny easy to watch programme in the morning!

              == Introduction ==
The Jeremy Kyle show is a sort of chat show, counselling show, hosted by Jeremy Kyle, a self confessed ex gambling addict. It is on weekday mornings on ITV1 between 9.30am and 10.30am, and usually takes place on a stage in Manchester with a live studio audience.

Jeremy Kyle Show started in 2005 and was an instant hit with the daytime TV audience, aimed at those out of work, full time mothers and housewives, and students. I myself am part of that group, and do sometimes watch the show in a morning.

The aim of the show is to help families, friends, couples to get through problems such as adultary, drug and alcohol problems, anger problems, reunions between lost family members as well as offering DNA and lie detector tests. Sometimes, maybe once every couple of months, there will be a "special" Jeremy Kyle, maybe where he confronts homelessness, gangs, or prostitution on the streets rather than on set.

              == The show ==
The show usually has guests who are what you can only class as lower working class...or the "benefit class" as it is now known, those who are out of work and on full time benefits, sadly these are the people giving people on benefits a bad name, as they tend to be the people in society draining the benefits system, not working as they don't want to work (yet still claiming Job Seekers Allowance!), procreating with numerous women and giving up on the children, drinking themselves into a stupor on the taxes which working people have paid. This is the most part, but not all the time. You will maybe once in a blue moon, see a genuine family on the show, and I have seen many a show which have been very emotional, a daughter who wants to be married before her dying mother passes away, a father who lost touch with his children's mother and wants to be reunited with his kids. But usually it is these chavs who are in relationships which are full of adultary and abuse, and Jeremy Kyle takes pleasure in ripping these people apart on stage.

You may be sitting there thinking this girl seems to HATE the show, so why does she watch it...oh no, its hillarious!

As a person who cannot stand those who are benefit cheats (I do not at all have anything against the benefits system and think it is brilliant to have it there for those of us who may need to fall back on it when they are out of work for a legitimate reason, or are having trouble finding work!), and think that they can sit smoking weed, drinking vodka and been bad parents all day long, and take great pleasure in watching the show where Jeremy Kyle basically takes the mick out of them and tells them how it is. That they ARE bad parents, that they ARE a drain on society etc! And I find it hillarious.

The show isn't traditional counselling show material, although Kyle does have professionals who will help the people who really want help, he doesn't feel the need to sugar coat what he says, and will tell people that they are a waste of space if he believes they are!

== A few examples of Jeremy Kyle episodes ==

Here are a few examples of some of the guests on Jeremy Kyle:

*A young woman wants to be married to her long term partner, but they have no money, certainly not enough to put together a wedding. It wasn't a huge problem for the couple as they were saving sensibly so they could have the day of their dreams, but then tragedy hit, when the young woman's mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, she only had 3-6 months to live and she wasn't going to get to watch her daughter walk down the aisle. That's when they called the Jeremy Kyle show. They were not asking for anything, but just telling their story- at the end of the show, Jeremy sat down on the stage, almost in tears, and told the couple and the mother, that they would foot the bill for an extravagant wedding so that her mother could attend. This is an example of one of the "nicer" shows, with a nice normal family.

*A young couple have been in a relationship for a few years, and the woman just had a baby. But, the boyfriend has been told by his best friends cousin that his girlfriend cheated on him a few times last year, and now the boyfriend is suspecting the child may not be his. He wants a DNA test and lie detector doing on his girlfriend. Both are done, and despite swearing she had never slept with anyone else whilst with her boyfriend, it proved the child was not the boyfriends who had been supporting the baby since it was born.

These are just a couple of examples of some of the episodes which are shown, but of course there are more! And you really do have to see them to believe them!!!!!!

              == My own opinion ==
Well I have said throughout this review that the show is hilariously funny, but what is quite sad is that the people in the show are actually real, and although personally I believe that some of the guests may be fake or embellished a little, they are actually living like this in this way, and in a way it makes me sick that there are so many people sponging off benefits, having children with various partners, taking drugs and drinking too much which is very annoying! Its also sad that TV has got so shocking that this is our entertainment laughing at people who are basically scum bags! BUT, on saying that I do still watch the show, and I do recommend the show to other people! It's a great morning show to brighten your day, and it makes me feel better about my own life...no matter how bad things are...I'm nothing like that!!!!!!!!! It's not a show for everyone, but I think you should give it a go!!!

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

Talk show where people attempt to verbally batter the hell out of each other/

Do you realise The Jeremy Kyle show has been going for 5 years! 5 years for 5 days a week! Surely he's covered a good percentage of the population so far!

Jeremy Kyle is a former radio presenter who someone obviously thought had a face for television, and so it seems to have worked.

His show follows the general concept of talk shows, one presenter and lots of members of the public, that's us sitting in front of the PC reading this!
He gets these members of the public on the telly and gets them to air their views, well that used to be what happened! Now it's managed to devolve into people airing their grievances against each other.

'Car crash' TV I believe it's called. It's now a programme showing the dregs of our society often trying to justify their lifestyle choice and screaming grievances at each other.
Not one programme seems to go past without at least one young lady with her hair scraped into a 'Vicky Pollard' ponytail and a young unemployed man with a cap on.
                Oh and the obligatory alcoholic!
Funnily enough it's on the tv at the moment and what does it feature? A tracksuited cap wearing young man who can't work because he's an alcoholic needing a DNA test. That young man may not realise it but he's just about summed the show up!

Do you know that 1 in 10 people don't actually have the biological father they think they do, and Kyle helps prove this point with the massive amount of DNA tests he arranges. Probably more than the CSA do. The Jeremy Kyle show can't be axed as the DNA testing companies would go bust!

And amid all this human trash stalks Jeremy Kyle like a bantam cock with his chest thrust out pronouncing words of wisdom in his God-like persona. He berates the unemployed for living on benefits, judges the single parents and has a good go at the feckless dads who refuse their offspring to avoid paying child maintenance in order to satisfy the habit of disappearing into the bottom of a bottle of White Lightning.

                It gives us programmes with such wonderful lurid titles such as;
'16 years old, 3 kids, you are the father'
'Take a lie detector test - Is my boyfriend sleeping with my daughter'
'Mum and Sister, stop using the house like a brothel'

                Classy stuff eh?

But we do watch this programme, whether we like to admit it or not, but why?

I believe its two-fold, we love to judge people, this is proved everywhere by the vitriolic outpourings in every medium about the 'benefit culture' that these people always appear to be living in.
We also watch with glee and smugness as we consider ourselves above these people with our own homes, cars in the drive, hubby hard at work with the knowledge that we know who the fathers of our kids are (Don't forget the 1-10 though!

Either way it's a ratings hit!

Thankfully there people are not cast aside when they leave the stage verbally battered and bruised. There is Graham kind and caring, he comes across as the complete antithesis to Mr Kyle, kind of 'good cop, bad cop' these people get counselling, therapy and for the worse, detox. Humiliating then help seems to be the motto of this programme.

But is the Jeremy Kyle show so bad, do we do it injustice by the constant criticism? Sometimes people need to be told exactly what their issues are before they accept the help. Isnt helping people with addictions and other such as those with anorexia, or suffering domestic violence and even 'helping' people get off benefits actually doing our society a favour? Helping people access services that statutory services take months to provide, or even cant provide.
Or am I looking into it too much, grasping at straws to try and find some virtue in this show?

Thankfully this show hasn't descended to the Jerry Springer show or even Maury where Mr Springer encourages the guests to attack each other, and on Maury where chairs get thrown and many a screaming match. Actually the lovely Maury gets a reprieve gets he has lovely puppies and baby tigers on some of his shows!

However with the publics lust for even more extreme tv, how long before we start to expect and enjoy the above?
Jeremy Kyle whether we like it or not, is here to stay. The scandals on the programme fulfill the same need as those magazines filled with celebrity scandals. Most horrifying of all is the thought that if he were to be axed, that slot will be filled with more programmes like Loose Women

                  Advantages

                  Disadvantages

'Reality TV' but not my cup of tea

Who's the daddy? Is he cheating? With your sister? Give Jeremy a call!

The Jeremy Kyle show most of the time seems to be a good excuse for couples and families to show each other up. "He cheated on me with my Sister" , "I slept with five other men and the baby might not be yours". I don't know if it's just me but i think that maybe some issues are better resolved in the privacy of your own home rather than on TV with millions of people watching.

Why would anyone want to know how many times somebody cheated or how many men are not the father or how some poor sod is going to stay with her husband even though he slept with her sister?

This show reminds me of famous American TV show The Jerry Springer show except with less violence and less chanting.

Things I like about the show are positive stories such as helping orphaned children to find their parents but most of the time The Jeremy Kyle Show is not my cup of tea!

                    Disadvantages

                    A barrel of laughs!

The Jeremy Kyle Show, I blame you for many a morning wasted. There is something about this show that hooks you. You just want to know what is going to happen - the DNA results, the lie detector results - Jeremy Kyle invites you, the general public, to sit back and ridicule these people who honestly think that this bloke is going to sort their life out. I mean, when they reach the conclusion, they all look like right happy chappies, but chances are that a few weeks down the line, they're at it again, whatever 'it' may be. But it's not all like that, no. No you'll get the occasional down to earth person (or people) who have an honest problem that Jeremy and co. will sort out for them. But once their off the stage, enter matey who's brought himself and his missus onto to the show to see whether a baby of a different race is actually his or not...

Jeremy Kyle - the main man. Born in July of 1965 in a small town in London, and educated at the University of Surrey, he's as ordinary as they come. I've never heard such a plain accent, actually. He's the doctor. Well, I'm not quite sure what qualifications he actually has, but he's the face of the show anyhow. He has all his backstage staff though - most significantly: Graham Stanier, the show's psychotherapist. I'm not hot on the psychology sde of anything, but there are certain elements of the show that are clearly done for a reason. The sitting on the step, for instance, which is a very common device which both Jeremy and Graham use. He goes down to their level. At times, he'll get right in their faces too, shouting at them, telling them off. It's like a school playground on that stage sometimes - guests stuttering profusely whilst trying to have a go at another, throwing chairs around...and this is what makes the show. That is what the show is! I'm meaning no offence here whatsoever, but the majority of guests on this show are either not the prettiest of people, or half sharp. And in the occasional glances you'll get of the audience, they're gorgeous! Hotties everywhere, coming for the show. How much did you pay to come and watch a couple argue about who's cheated on whom? This provides a vast contrast that pretty much sums up the show. We, the general public, represented by this studio audience, are not really interested in this couple sorting their problem out. We're here for the laughs!

No, in all seriousness, an adequate fraction of the time, we're concerned for the couple or family or whoever on the stage. The genuine people who have real, mature problems, you feel for. Jeremy Kyle, however strict and brash he can come across, is a fantastic character to have by your side, aiding you in sorting problems out. He always does the right thing, you know? He's the most diplomatic guy you'll ever come across, and he'll listen, providing relevant and caring input, and will slip a light joke every now and then to lighten the mood. He doesn't care what background you have, what you look like, where you are from...he'll help. But he does get angry. Very angry, and the comical element returns. This beautiful audience are sitting in their seats whilst Jeremy is humiliating these people for being complete berks! It makes for fantastic viewing, I tell you.

What I find with this show is that, once you watch it, you want to know what happens, as I have already mentioned. And this wastes an hour of your day. I've watched this in bed a few mornings, and you don't half fancy a nice, refreshing shower to wake you up and shake off that trampy feeling. Not that I don't shower every morning, of course...I've wasted too much time watching this show, but it's fun. I think the majority of people are nosey to some extent, and on The Jeremy Kyle Show, you can get an insight into other people's lives, whilst you kick back in the comfort of your own home, mocking them, to yourself or a friend or family member. It's been on our screens since 2005, and it's sublime British television, I hope you'd agree? I mean, I'm not a particular fan of our culture, and The Jeremy Kyle Show hardly makes us look like the most dignified or attractive nation on the planet, but it's a bloody good laugh.

If you're feeling low, why not put ITV1 on and watch The Jeremy Kyle Show? You're probably better off than those plonkers*!

*The vast majority of guests only.

What I have seen is enough to never view this programe again STOP giving low lifes and utter scumbags air time they go through their miserable lifes expecting to be congratulated for being losers wasting everybodys time and money be it on television or worse still the wasting of the public services police especially they should be ridiculed for the lifes they choose to live and not be made into heros I think the world is going down the toilet and having programes like this on television is just encouragement to live a scumbag life so it is normal to swear at your parents and to have no respect for your self or your fellow human beings. we need programes that encourage a good way of life there will always be scumbags but we do not need to see them or their chosen lives on the telly. maybe a waste of time but honestly it isn't!

The Jeremy Kyle show is a huge guilty pleasure for me! I think the show's so funny! and I could watch it for hours and hours! I watched with almost everyone family, friends and even ex boyfriends!
Jeremy Kyle is a show (which is filmed in studios in Manchester) which is broadcast on ITV 1 at 9:30am - when GMTV finishes (when it's my day off I don't get up to watch this) but however, if you missed Jeremy Kyle in the morning it is repeated on the same day but on ITV 2 at 2pm - so you're bound to found out what happen on the Jeremy Kyle show that day!
The Jeremy Kyle is all about relationships, family problems and DNA test.
The most popular guests/events on the Jeremy Kyle show are:

-relationships and should that couple be together or are they better off without each other
                      - Has a partner been unfaithful and cheated or done unacceptable things behind the other partner's back (this is usually men being unfaithful!)
                      - who is the father of my baby?
                      - who is to blame for the death of a friend or family member
                      - jealously between exes.
                      - stripping what ever the age whether you're eighteen or seventy! (no I'm not kidding there has been a stripper older than sixty on the show! I think she was about 62!)
                      - possible prositutes?
                      - embarassing moments!

There have been over one thousands episodes of Jeremy Kyle since it was first broadcast in July 2004.

Personally, this show is such a laugh even if you're in a bad mood and me and my mates like to joke about how jealous we are of the beautiful people on the show and we wished we were like them! I watch this when ever I can I sometimes watch clips of the show on youtube! If you haven't seen it - you must it's funny as hell!
but some episodes can be boring compared to others.

                      Disadvantages

                      well worth watching!

Ever wondered what all the fuss about 'day time' TV was? ITV 9am every weekday as alot to do with that fuss! The Jeremy Kyle show is a bit like marmite, people either love it or hate it! Throw together pregnancy, cheating spouses, DNA results, lie detector results and broken families and you get one hell of a show. The presenter, Jeremy, is a new kind of presenter and he brings humour and some may say arrogance to the show with his witty remarks and tellings off. I do not know one single person who has not heard of this show and know of many who use it in everyday reference. Like many other shows of its kind the studio audience add to the circus of the program with camera shots of their laughter, tears and questions! Debates around this show has left bitter questions like should a show like this be allowed? and to some people, total strangers 'dirty laundry' is of no entertainment. However, for those of us who have a slightly sick sense of humour, after just one episode this show leaves us not only amused, bemused and angry, but also with a sure feeling of one, how great our lives are and two, a sense of feeling great about oneself!

                      Advantages

                      Disadvantages

got a personal problem, why not share with loads of people and get told what for by an arrogant man

Well what can I say about the man that has stood the test of time and still stands tall where others have failed. You have to hand it to the man that he must have something to be able to keep the show going year after year (since 2005) and over a 1000 shows is nothing to be sniffed at.

The Jeremy Kyle show, for those of you that maybe live in a bubble, is a daytime TV talk show which deals with the problems that families and friends have. Nothing is forbidden to talk about, including drugs, alcohol, affairs, stealing, you name it they have probably talked about it. Usually on a show you will find at least one guest shouting and swearing and thinking they are hard. They come on the stage shouting their expletives and more often than not have to be pulled away by one of the bodyguards (yes bodyguards - that's the type of show this is!)

So the premise of the show is that someone has a problem with one person or another, this could be a family member or friend, or an ex partner and to resolve this issue they think it is best to come and share this problem with all the ITV daytime viewers and get Kyle to sort it out for them. So sharing the embarrassing problem that your mum is a prostitute to pay for her drugs and alcohol addiction will hopefully make things right and she can get the help that she needs. Airing your dirty laundry in public is the way to go.

Now this is me being a cynic and I know that they have probably helped a lot of people on the show but you can only help the people that want to be helped and you can just tell that some of them either don't think they have a problem or they just don't want to change. They can see their relation sitting there in floods of tears and in total despair but there is something in their head that tells them it doesn't matter.

However much this is car crash TV, he does do some good for some people. The people that want to be helped or the people that have doubts about the fidelity of a partner or DNA of a child and it is proven that their doubts are uncalled for. These people can then get on with their lives having it confirmed.

There are some waste of space human beings that have graced the stage though and I sometimes watch in amazement at how some people choose to live their life or how they treat people disrespectfully. How people can sit there and blatantly lie knowing full well that the famous lie detector is going to prove otherwise! Why do people go back for more with these people?

Now to Jeremy himself - well what can you say about him? He is a unique human being on our screens. He tells it like it is and he doesn't hold back in telling them what he thinks. He is often seeing shouting at the losers on the stage and I am amazed that no one has ever tried to thump him one. (the bodyguards would soon be in there though no doubt) I can see his frustration when they are not bothered about trying to change their life for the better and although people do see this as awful I do think there is a part of him that is trying to make things better.

                      Is it entertaining?

Watching other people suffer and getting upset and struggling to come to terms with the proven infidelity or that they are not the father of the child they love and adore can be heartbreaking so no I don't think it is entertaining but it is an insight into a not so perfect world. We all live in our own little world and I do watch this in amazement sometimes at the things that people do to themselves and others. You do have to think that there only needs to be a split second change in your own life and it could happen to you and you have to be thankful for what you have.

Would you go on there if you had a problem that needed resolving?

Definitely not. What makes people want to air all their impurities on national TV? Is it that few minutes of fame? Who knows, but whilst the many come forward this show will carry on going. I am sure there are many many people waiting in line to go and show themselves up!

Overall I think this show is over the top BUT it has helped a lot of people also with their offer of rehab and continued support. It must be doing something right to continue past Trisha, and Feltz. I think Kyle's direct approach and sometimes insulting wrath is at times appalling but he must be doing something right.

                        Advantages

                        Disadvantages

In a nutshell, Jeremy Kyle referees the latest fight.

I have watched this programme quite a few times, and feel I have a good grasp of what it is about. I think these shows are ten-a-penny, but all structured the same. On one occasion, I aw a programme based on inspirational children, who have had more difficult lives than I could ever imagine. I applaud that. However, when we see the type of people brought on for the so called "serious stuff", this being DNA tests, affairs, lie detectors, you know it is going to end in trouble. Quite often the people they have on are all from similar backgrounds, dress badly and their hygiene leaves much to be desired. Now, every now and then Kyle talks sense, but often, as one or two judges have said, it is a form of provocation and bear baiting. Kyle, of course, has his big security men around him. I just cannot see how this prgramme constitutes entertainment, because lives of people are secondary to the big story and controversy. Because of work, I am delighted that I will never see this programme again.

                        Advantages

                        Disadvantages

                        Not for me at all!

Ok, I will be try to fair when writing this review. The trouble is I just detest this show! I have tried to watch it but it always seems to be the same. My mum watches Jeremy Kyle on demand most days and so I sometimes end up seeing little bits. I did sometimes watch it in the past but got fed up with.

Jeremy Kyle is a talk show hosted by none other than Jeremy Kyle. The show is on Monday to Friday on ITV1 at 9.25am. It is repeated in the afternoons on ITV2 and is sometimes on again in the early hours on ITV1, it is also available on demand.

The show has between 2 and 4 groups of guests, who come on the show to sort out a problem in their lives. They are often given advice by Jeremy Kyle and there is also experts and councillors behind the scenes who help people and a lot of the guests seem to use the show as a way of turning their lives around.

The guests usually appear with at least one family member and often bring several friend and family members on the show with them. Sometime they are all on stage and often they sit in the audience. Some friends and family are there for moral support and help whilst others are there speaking against the person who has brought them.

Each person's problems are different, but they often have similar themes in a show and the problems can range between a drug addiction to not knowing who is the father of a child. Occasionally there will be a reunion show where they reunite lost family members or there will be a special show about people who have overcome horrific events in their lives.

The reason why I don't like Jeremy Kyle is that it has all be done before, over and over again. Remember Vanessa? Same old thing, years ago. I just think it's all so tired and I find it very boring. The people who appears on there are usually dreadful and accuse each other of all sorts of things.

Most of Jeremy Kyle's guests seem to have the morals of an alley cat, but what is worse than that is Jeremy Kyle himself. Now I realise that what I am about to say may make me very unpopular, but I just can't stand him. He is so rude and speaks over people all the time. He acts as though he is better than everyone else and tells gamblers not to gamble whilst still by his own admission placing the odd bet himself. I find him hypocritical and judgemental. I also don't like the fact that he tends to take sides. It seems to me that he will decide who is in the right and stick to it most of the time. Surely he should be unbiased to his guests untill he has heard both sides of the story.

I am sorry to any fans out there, I can understand why some people like this show, but I'm afraid that Jeremy Kyle and his guests are just not for me.
