Received notification from Parceforce that it was holding a parcel from the United States which needed customs charges to be paid before being released. I had been expecting this so duly went online and paid the charges and at the same time booked a delivery for approximately two weeks later as was due to be away in the meantime. On the day of the delivery I waited in all day and...no delivery! Emailed them requiring an explanation. They replied stating they had not received the payment for the customs charges, this was despite me receiving an electronic receipt clearly showing that I had paid. But, not only had they not delivered the parcel they had also now processed it to be returned to the United States. Further contact with them subsequently revealed that there was no failsafe way of preventing the parcel from being returned to sender when the error was theirs, however, they would put a marker on their systems which would flag up the parcel as having a 'stop' put on it when it was further processed in their warehouse. Guess what? - that had no effect whatsoever and the parcel was returned to sender!
After more forthright emails to them advising them how unacceptable this level of service was my complaint was finally escalated to the MD's office. However, refunding of the original posting charges was only forthcoming after threats of legal action and on providing documentary proof of those charges. The sender then re-shipped the item from the United States and, in a gesture of sympathy for my experience at the hands of Parcelforce, posted the item 'expedited'. This had the unintended consequence of a higher customs charge than the original charge and Parceforce are refusing to pay this difference.
I experienced a shockingly poor level of service from Parcelforce - from their initial error to the complete and utter indifference and incompetence of staff who could have acted decisevely to remedy the situation but chose not to, and only threats of legal action resulted in refunds of re-shipping costs and, despite the fiasco, they're not even willing to cover the difference in customs charges. It's now 5 months since the parcel first arrived in UK.
Unfortunately, Parcelforce is the default system of receiving many international parcels in the UK and so many customers have no choice but to accept such appalling experiences such as mine, and the others posted on here, but with any luck it's continuing abysmal performance will result in it being wiped off the face of the earth and replaced with something fit for purpose.
I booked a collection with them and had someone wait in the following day for the collection. It is now 8:30pm 2 days after that I booked it and still hasn't been collected. Called them at 10 am and I was told if the driver doesn't arrive by 3:30 call us back. I have phoned them 4 times during today and each time been told we'll contact the driver and phone you back. I've had no word from them and they said they can't answer any questions. Fortunately the person on Ebay I'm sending to hasn't been kicking off, I just keep messaging them with updates each time I phone Parcel 'Farce'
I will give out -5 star if I could. This is a complete joke that I have spent over £60 to send a parcel (£10 value) to China but still not yet arrived over a week!!!! The online status has been showing as "Awaiting for custom clearance" for 6 days!!! DO NOT BELIEVE THIS! I have called ParcelForce what does it mean by awaiting for custom clearance, they lied and said the parcel was held by the custom of China and asked me to talk to China Customs. It is a very urgent parcel so I called the custom of China. They said that custom clearance will take less than 10 mins and it's no way to be held at custom for over 6 days.
Then, I called up ParcelForce again. I got the same rubbish respond said the parcel is at customs, which is out of their control. I told them that I have called the custom of China and this is not true! After a few transferred between 'teams', I finally go connected with the international team of Parcelfoce. They said the delivery agent in China was actually waiting for information from me before they can clear with customs. All the information they need I have actually put on the form at the time of postage!!!!!!! Are they just making things up to "explain their delays"?????
After I provided the information AGAIN, one day later, parcel is still "awaiting for custom clearance". I called again and they said now they need couple more information!!!!! What kind of broken process is it? Is it the first time that Parcelforce sending parcel to China? Why couldn't they ask for all information they need for customs on day 1?
I'm still waiting for my parcel to be delivered and it has been 11 days since my parcel was sent. I should have used the £4 international postage service instead of a £60 global express service. Lessons learned!!!!!
Parcel Force without the P would be the best description. At 82 years of age and very slow moving, I failed to get up today before 8am. A parcel force delivery (dash in and out) was abandoned because of this and the item taken to St Johns Post Office for me to collect, leaving me with a problem.I will bet that if I had owed the delivery guy a thousand pounds he would have located me.Their attitude stinks. The sooner they are sold up the better.Never, never use Arcel ForceBJ
Don't touch these jokers with a bargepole, particularly if you are an EBay seller sending parcels - Parcel Farce's incompetence could well lead you to receive negative feedback through no fault of your own.
Thankfully, the seller of my E-Bay items had provided a tracking number so I was able to monitor my parcel. It should have arrived yesterday, and didn't. I was at home from 10am for the entire day and, according to their system, they claimed that an attempt had been made to deliver at 1345 - unless I was in a parallel dimension then and missed them, there was no such attempt. Worse still, the tracking system indicated that "customer advised to collect from Post Office" - again, rubbish - they didn't even leave a card !!!
I had to print off the tracking page from their website, and drive to the Post Office where - thanks to their good and efficient local service - I was able to collect my parcel. Interestingly, they said that this wasn't the first time this had happened and, on my own past experience, it will not be the last from Parcel Farce.
I suppose I should be grateful that my parcel wasn't lost.
Don't say you haven't been warned !
Some time ago Parcelforce managed to lose a very expensive sword which did turn at a hub depot up about 7 weeks later. Now, waiting in the house for a parcel that should have been delivered yesterday....but wasn't. Checked the Parcelforce online tracking facility....and find that it has been sent to a 'wrong depot'....and subsequently .....didn't get it...and ... still haven't received it. My advice....if you want to send a parcel????.....choose a professional courier service.
Took a parcel to my local Post Office to be told the only option was Parcelforce, and they won't collect it until tomorrow! I'll think twice before using them again. DHL offer a better service for parcels.
I have been having trouble with parcel force I paid for 24hour delivery and thy haven't delivered I have been in contact with the Glasgow hub and thy promised me if it was in there hub on Saturday thy would deliver it thy didn't further to this thy said thy would call me this morning which thy didn't and I got in contact with them this morning for them to tell me thy new nothing about my phone call I will not be doing business throw parcel force a gene so pissed off

Parcelforce must be offering very cheap rates to companies at the minute because the last 3 things I've ordered online have been "delivered" by them.
The first I tried to arrange re-delivery 4 times before I was eventually informed had been sat in a post office 6 miles away (ie. not my local one) for a week. In the end I had to go and pick it up myself and pay an extra pound for the privilege.
Second parcel they called back the next day as they said they would on the card in the letterbox- I left them a card to ask them to leave the parcel round the back and they did exactly that. Great- well done.
Just got home to find a calling card round the back (ie. not in the letter box) stating they had taken the parcel to the post office 6 miles away. I guess at least this time I know where it is! (Even though I now have to take time out this weekend to go pick it up and of course, pay a quid the pleasure).
Every single time they deliver, the tracking number is either illegible and/or does not contain the correct amount of characters to be recognised by their own tracking system.
The bottom line is with sooo many other courier services around who offer an infinitely better service why are companies who you would think care about their brand image using these jokers?
after paying the extra £12 sat deliveryno parcel arrived after several calls and emails and broken promises still no one contacted me, this was a part for my son motorbike that he needed to fix for his race on suday, how dissapointing for him!!!! the part never arrived parcel force sucks!!!!
On several occasions, the latest being today, I have had an item sent to me by Parcelforce. I used to live in a third floor flat. The Parcelforce delivery man would come and quietly push a card through the door stating that he had rung but no one was at home, then slink quietly away. If I didn't catch him at it, I'd then have to chase up the parcel or go and collect it myself. This was always pretty annoying when I had been waiting in for said parcel and listening for the doorbell. I suppose he or they just couldn't be bothered carrying my parcel up the stairs.
I now live in a house in a different town. This morning it was the same routine - no doorbell, card quietly pushed through the door, but this time the parcel was left lying in the wet garden in full view of the street. This time I heard the letterbox, looked out and saw the parcel and the van, and ran out to ask why the driver had not rung. He claimed he had - a direct lie - and was quite rude to me.
What is their problem? Laziness? Maybe it's that the company gives them too many parcels to deliver in a day and they're on so tight a schedule that they can't afford to wait for people to answer the doorbell? Or maybe they just want their round over as quickly as possible so they can go to the pub. Either that, or their people skills are so poor that they simply avoid all contact with customers. Judging by attitude of the charmer who called this morning, my money's currently on the latter option.
A parcel was collected at our door by a Parcel Force Worldwide driver. The driver confirmed that he had all documents and signatures needed to our faces. 2 days later our parcel came back to our door from the same driver. He forgot a form needing a signature. That is their job to know what is required. Are they not the courier?
The parcel should have been to its destination within 4 working days. We paid a premium price for this. and 10 days later, Parcel Force tells us they have absolutely NO Idea where the parcel is!
My daughters Christmas was a huge disappointment entirely because we used what turns out to be the absolute worst courier service worldwide. They don't even appologise for loosing the parcel!
Warning to everyone who reads this, Never use Parcel Force Worldwide and tell everybody you know about what happened to us by hoping Parcel Force was any good at all.
I was on holiday in the UK for christmas shopping in November, I was reccomended by a friend to use parcel force to send my case back to Cyprus where I live. I filled up my case with my presents phoned parcel force used my amex to pay and they came and collected the next day. That was over 2 weeks ago!!! NO-ONE has seen my bag since!!! They sent me a poster that was destined for Austrailia!!!!!!! Sooo totally and utterly useless!!! I keep telling them I the booking was conducted over the phone and when they came to collect I was out and left the case with the reception!! Do they listen... nooo automated email response.
I have to now re-buy all my christmas presents. It looks like I wont get refunded, also they collected money for something they did not provide...my case is in space or some feckless wworker swipped it!!!
I sent emails and they keep responding with automated service. When I phoned they keep telling me they are doing all they can! I hardly think so! I am sooo angry with this company NEVER again!!!
RUBBISH COMPANY DISGRACEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICES DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I arranged for a tv to be collected with Parcelforce and went through on the phone about what the parcel was, they told me that glass is not insured but if anything else would be damaged I would be covered, I have a recording of this conversation! I even paid extra for the parcel for the value of £500. I received the tv and it was smashed, the outer frame cracked and split, the screen shattered and it won't turn on, just makes a buzzing noise. I put a claim in. It was rejected. I was told if the screen had not have been damaged I would have a claim, but the screen has smashed the claim is now void. I contacted them and told them of my conversation, they simply said I was miss informed and its policy. I appealed again, but, this time I requested the conversation to be listened to. They listened and re-opened the claim and said to me on the phone, yes, someone has miss-sold you, please fill in the claim form and send evidence. Great, I thought I had got what was fair, but, no, they rejected it again, even though I showed photos and proof of purchase, just simply said your item had glass, so no claim!!! I called again and the lady said, looks like someone hasn't read the reason why it was re-opened, I was told to email claims manager. I have and am still awaiting a response. I will post the outcome on here and everywhere else I can connect Parcelforce with. I think its a disgrace, and what really gets me is the way some of the staff at claims talk over you, keeping repeating terms and conditions terms and conditions, as your trying to explain to them, that is really annoying, as if they get a buzz out of it.
This is the second time we have experienced problems with Parcelforce. Personally i wouldn't trust them with my goods but unfortunately others do. My partner ordered a laptop and upon tracking the item found that Parcelforce 'could not locate the address'. Frustrated somewhat i telephoned their automated service line to re-arrange delivery. After a series of questions i was informed that my request had been processed and delivery was booked in for the following day and someone would call me to verify my address. I was informed there may be a charge of around £6.00 for re-delivery. Not only is this a cheek as no delivery was ever attempted but to top it all, the delivery never happened which i knew as 48 hours later still no one has called. Honestly if you are considering a courier make sure Parcelforce is bottom of your list regardless, their service and this as i said is not the first time, is shambolic and appalling.
