This is another hard to find toy, but Amazon does get them in from time to time, as does ebay. It is recommended for ages 3+, but there are no small parts and I can so no reason for a younger child not to play with this. My oldest son would have been 2 1/2 when we bought this and my younger son has loved this from about 18 months. they both still love this toy at ages 2 and 5 years.
My sons are mad for Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars. What I really liked about this toy is that it is different from all the garages and usual tracks.
The main feature for this toy is the big wheel which spins around lifting cars to the main track. The cars should theoretically be able to go around and round indefinitely, but eventually one will usually end up stuck and need to be lifted onto the wheel.
This set also has a trap door which can be closed off with a knob to allow cars to keep circulating, or left open to allow a car to drop onto a a pod in front of the rocket. Once on this pod the car is trapped until the child frees it by shooting another car from a rocket to hit the release button. There is also a strong man type attraction, where the child pushes the large orange launch button to send a car racing up to the top. Instead of the traditional bell though, there is a rocket which pops up if the car is launched high enough.
This toy is designed for use with Matchbox cars, but works equally well with Hot Wheels and many other die cast vehicles. Of course you will find a few models that are to heavy or too large for the big wheel, but the majority of my boys cars work with no problem. The set is easy to set up, a matter of a minute or two. Some parts of the track can easily come loose, which is a nuisance, but then it only takes a second to snap them back in. Three size C batteries are required to run the wheel, but even using the cheapest Tesco batteries I would expect well over a year of use from them. The toy itself is also very sturdy and in perfect condition after 3 years of frequent use.
My sons love this toy. My boys take care of their cars like other children do teddies and they enjoy giving the cars an outing at the fun park. I think it is an absolutely brilliant toy and would highly recommend it to parents of car crazy children, the only problem being limited availability.
