Overall this park makes for a good day out, rain or shine there is plenty to do.

Funland is a small family theme park located on the south coast of the UK. It is situated on Hayling Island and is located right on the beach. It can be accessed from a mile away by a small seaside train which runs up and down daily during the warmer months. Of course there is plenty of onsite parking if you don't fancy a ride on the train; there are many car parks located just outside funland, 2 pay and displays, and a large car park in which you can stay all day for £2 The rides at funland are family orientated, there are smaller and gentler rides for younger children as well as 2 small rollercoaster's, a large and small log flume, teapot ride, dodgems, a larger rollercoaster with a loop and some of the more scary rides - a drop ride and tornado (see website!). There is no entrance fee to this park, it runs on a token and wristband system, the website has a full list of how many tokens each ride requires, it ranges from 2-4 depending on which ride. Tokens cost 50p each to buy separately but can be purchased in bundles of 30 and 50 etc. An alternative to tokens is wristbands, an all day wristband will cost £10, a 2pm-5pm wristband will cost £7 and a 6pm-9pm will cost £5. There are constantly new offers on though so you may find it cheaper than you bargained for. The rides are open from around February to October. Opening longer, later and more frequently during the summer. There are 2 amusement arcades on the funland site and another a few yards off site. The large arcade has a variety of games and machines including air hockey, driving games, a range of pinball machines, guitar hero, dance mats, shooter games, penny pushers, an over 18 casino and grabber machines full of cute and cuddly toys! The large arcade also offers 10-pin bowling for £2 a game, and for the kids has a soft play area complete with bouncy castle for a small entrance fee. As for food, there is a wimpy, fish and chip shop and café, all located around the funland site. Not to mention an ice cream, hot dog and fresh donut stand as well as all the fairground favourites such as candy floss, toffee apples and popcorn. After a fun day on the rides and playing in the arcades you can pop into the gift shop to grab some souvenirs of your day. There are a few events held at funland throughout the year. Funland is the base for the Hayling carnival which is held at the beginning of august every year. Performances and shows are held in the field outside funland and then the day is topped off with a spectacular fireworks display at the end of the evening. A Halloween event is held at funland in October in the evening where the staff dress up and spooky music is played. This is all topped off with another fireworks display, this marks the end of the season for the funland rides until February.
