      Cheap and effective monitor

      HKC Europe B.V. is the subsidiary company of HKC Group, founded in 1997 and headquartered in Shenzhen, China.

      ==What you get==

      A decent standard flat screen 19" monitor that I purchased new from eBay for only £60 when Dell wanted considerably more for their standard 16" one.

      It's black and rectangular with 16:9 wide screen and 16.7 million colours.

      The monitor comes in two parts, the screen and a base piece which screws on to the monitor. It is powered by mains, then plugged using the usual cable into the back of the PC.

      This particular model has no other use than as a PC monitor as it only has a VGA cable port.

      ==My thoughts==

      *It was considerably cheaper than a smaller Dell model when I ordered my PC online.
      *It was simple to set up and uses less than 1 Watt when in stand by, although I switch my PC and everything off at the wall at night.
      *The menu to change the colour / brightness is rather annoying as you can't get rid of it without switching off the monitor. Not a major issue, just a tad annoying.
      *I like that you can vary settings dependent on whether you are online, watching a film or typing. However I don't see a major difference to be honest.

      ==Where can you buy it?==

      Various electronic stores online will sell it between £65 and £75, or you can get it slightly cheaper on eBay.

      ***I would certainly recommend this monitor, it was cheap and fit for purpose***
