This is the best television we've owned

My dad called me last summer from Comet saying I needed to get there asap as he couldn't physically leave the store - odd I thought... It turned out they'd priced this wrong in the shop and instead of being approx £800 it was down as just over £500. He wasn't really shopping for an £800 television and when he saw the opportunity he reminded the sales assistant of trading standards rules, and insisted they sell it at the reduced price, and after much debate it was ours, but my dad couldn't leave the store if he wanted the deal he had to buy it there and then - but he didn't have a big enough car to transport it - which is where I came in to help... I am so glad I did, as this TV is fantastic. Easily connected to our V+ box and DVD player, it has HDMI slots in abundance. The quality of the picture when watching HD channels is excellent, it's brilliant on normal digital channels but it really comes into its own. When I connected my XBOX 360 to it I was hooked, I've never seen my games look so good. The USB port is a brilliant feature, as it enables you to plug and play downloaded movies and TV off a memory stick (this did not work however, with my 500GB hard drive, I had to put the files on the stick) I found that not all files play on the TV though, maybe it's only set to upscale certain types, I'm not sure, so I bought a sumvision cyclone media player for around £20 and connected that via a HDMI slot and that resolved this problem. The TV is wi-fi enabled to play online content such as you tube - but you need a wireless dongle, which you need to connect via the USB port, the sony ones are quite expensive, I tried using my O2 one thinking it only needed it as a form of antennae, but that didn't work. To be honest I don't think I'll bother as I don't really need to watch online content on the TV, I have my laptop, mobile and xbox for that and Virgin Media TV. Newer models have wifi enabled I believe so you don't need to buy the dongle. The TV's menus I found easy to navigate as you need to select the HDMI port depending on what you want to watch i.e. V+, DVD, XBOX, Media player, so you have to remember which port you put them in. But I am tech savvy, my mum has a bit of a nightmare, and we always have to set it up for her if it's set to the wrong selection. It's a good job she never watches stuff off the USB stick, as that is quite hard to find if you don't know where you're looking, it took me an age when I first used it. I did have a bit of a fight with the remote control when the batteries ran out for the first time also - I just couldn't figure out how to open it - but eventually I discovered you slide the back off. Overall this TV is fab - and despite the fact we paid a couple of hundred less for it - it was definitely worth the original asking price. Technology has moved on even since the summer though and you can now get more for less, but at the time it was a great buy.

      Great tv

We set out after Christmas 2010 with the intention of buying a new tv. After a lot of consideration and square eyes from standing in front of rows and rows of TV's in many different electrical stores, we settled on this Sony Bravia. A couple of weeks later, the new series of Dancing on Ice began. This was when I knew that we'd made the right choice. The series opened with a close up shot of Torvil and Dean's skates. As they moved, you could see the ice flying off their blades, crystal clear. It was stunning. I'm not a big sporting fan, but watching the tennis this summer has brought me to the same conclusion and I'm sure that for any sports fans, the TV will be just as satisfying. Pictures in HD are just perfect, and I really have absolutely nothing to fault the TV on. I'm not highly technical, so I can't offer in-depth analysis of the specifications or technical features, but what I can do is look at the TV from the viewpoint of the average female consumer. I want a TV that's sleek and stylish, with a flawless picture, for a price that isn't unreasonable. When we purchased the TV we got it for abut £650 - by a long stretch not the cheapest on the market, but in hindsight you really do get what you pay for. I wouldn't choose another set, and if you want a really, really high quality picture I would definitely recommend this TV.

I bought my sony from Comet and when I got it home, it was really easy to set up, and hook my sky box and Blu-ray player up to it. I am just fascinated by how slim it is and how clear the Screen is! The HD is brilliant, and I can access YouTube and BBC iPlayer on it as well, it has so may fantastic built in features, the design is very sleek, modern and very stylish! The design has lots of clean lines and perfect edges. I recommend it to anyone that is upgrading there TV to a new one, its so easy to use, and its very easy to clean, as it gets dusty, but its so easy to clean! The picture quality is just superb. Oh, and the Sound Quality is excellent, even without a Home Hi-fi System! Anyway I hope this helps you, and I highly recommend you buying this tv, its perfect! Thank you!

everybody asks this question before buying something quite simple why because it's an investment of money on a machine even if it has a very good reputation in the world but there are always competing with all mark then I must have a compelling reason to choose a product of the other have begun by reading the datasheet or Technical details and have the option compares the ability of the machine is question after that the price and the price depends on the perforemance and to have or may have the least expensive as the Sony KDL-40EX713 if a good case to have with us not forget that this is Sony.
