Highs and Lows of this TV

This TV's picture is absolutely briliant, it has excellent brightness, contrast, and color, but is lacks is in the inputs & remote.

The DVI input can only receive audio through the PC Audio input jack which is a standard headphone jack (the smaller one), so you'll need an adaptor if you're connecting a DVI device w/ RCA audio outputs. There is only one set of component inputs, which I easily got around with my stereo receiver, but unless you're simply hooking this up to a cable box or DVD player, it does not have the ability to switch between a lot of HD Inputs.

I also experienced a static "pop" every time I changed channels using the TV's built in tuner and running the Audio Ouputs to my stereo. The TV speakers would be silent for a fraction of a second when changing channels, but the stereo outputs would pick up the sound immediatly and have a quick static pop. Really not that big of a deal, but worth mentioning.

The remote is not too shabby, but if you plan on using another universal remote (from your sat/cable box or other) you'll have a hard time finding a set of remote codes that work with this device. I own a Logitech Harmony 688 remote and it works flawless ly with the TV, but the remote from my Scientific Atlanta box could not find a working set.

If you have a really nice Stereo receiver that will switch between component inputs and dont plan on really using the audio functions of the TV, then this is a GREAT buy. It is a beautiful HD Monitor.

Thing would start to get hairy if you wanted this device to act as your primary means of switching between a lot of HD inputs or as a great audio device as it simply does not have a good array of HD inputs and the speakers are a tad weak.
