I bought this in white with an additional handset. (The A510a Duo). It is a decent basic cordless phone.
Set up was a little problematic as the instruction leaflet was pretty sparse on information and oddly worded as if it had been hastily translates from a foreign language. Like so many electronic appliances now the manufacturer simply assumes that the consumer knows what to do with it. I persevered wi the main handset and managed to get the answerphone message recorded and the phone book setting filled with important numbers. With that finally done I was frustrated to find that the whole process had to repeated with the second remote handset.
These phone do have the advantage of a good long range. I've made calls from the other end of the garden. About 150 feet away from the base. I can rely on it to receive calls if I take outside or anywhere in the house. The ring is loud and both handsets ring simultaneously. I have yet to work out how to put caller identification on the screen and the phone does not seem to come with call barring. The phone book application is plenty big enough and holds up to fifty numbers. The usual last number redial and speakerphone options are present on both handsets.
One small niggle. It can be fiddly to replace the handset accurately on the base after use. If it is not correctly coupled I found the handset battery drains very quickly. I do keep a supply of AAA batteries purely for this reason.
