“ Brand: Dr Stuarts / Type: Detox Tea „
I know I can't be addicted but I adore this stuff and it's the only thing that's really been helpful in shifting the unwanted flab - success where regular diets have failed. I drink two cups a day ( one morning and night) and alongside a sensible diet the weight has slowly but surely dropped away. My friends think I must have done more....I live in fear of not being able to get any!!!!!
So, like many women, I am currently on a diet! I saw this tea and thought that it would be worth a try, as it seems to suggest that it helps to "suppress the appetite" during the day. It is around £1.50-£2.00, depending on where you get it from, which isn't too bad for 20 teabags.
Each teabag is individually wrapped in its own packaging, which seems to seal in the freshness of the bag. The packaging looks quite nice as well, and I keep a box on my desk at work.
This tea contains fennel, linden leaves and galangal root (whatever that is, it's supposed to be the magic ingredient which suppresses the appetite!) amongst other things. When you add the hot water to it, you are supposed to let it brew for around 4-5 minutes to let the flavours really come out.
My initial reaction to the tea was to notice the smell. It does smell quite strongly of liquorice so don't go for this tea if you're not a fan! The taste is basically like liquorice as well, and it is a lot more pleasant than many of the herbal teas on the market. It doesn't really need any sugar, although it might go well with honey (as recommended) if you prefer the tea a bit sweeter.
As for the appetite, well, I don't know whether it works, or whether because I am having tea I am eating less, but I certainly have been snacking a lot less at work since I've been drinking it!
This aromatic tea is made with Fennel, Linden leaves and Galangal root, for a really refreshing way to kick-start your diet and get into shape.
