A lightweight, wash-off, instant-tanning product from Benefit. I have a very, very pale complexion and had been looking for a facial bronzing product which didn't make me look orange for quite a while. This is it! The product itself is very lightweight - not of a watery consistency but you can see it's water based rather than cream based. This makes it incredibly easy to apply and also means that a little goes a long way. On first inspection it appears to be a ridiculously dark mahogany brown colour - I was a little worried when I first saw it! When applied however the colour evens out to a nice, natural colour without even a hint of orange. To find a product that achieves this even on my pale skin is nothing short of miraculous! Blends easily so no tan-lines or tide-marks. Stays put in my day to day life but I did notoce on holiday in the caribbean that it doesn't withstand intense heat as well. Washes off with my regular face wash in the evening. Relatively expensive and the tube is also quite small but, as a little does go such a long way, one tube has lasted me a year of regular, but not daily, use. Coupled with the natural looking colour I'd say this makes it value for money. My only major irritation with it is that you have to wash your hands straight away following application. Despite washing off my face easily in the evening it stubbornly sticks to unwashed fingers!
What is it? A bronzing facial tint by Benefit called 'Talk To The Tan' Price? £19.50 Any good? It's ok. Not amazing. It's a bronze, liquid gel/lotion that has a menthol smell and should be applied to the face. Although, I tried some on my body and it looked ok too! You can mix it with foundation or moisturiser or use it on its own and it enhances your natural colour. But Benefit do another product called Jiffy Tan for the body which is much bigger AND cheaper (£19) which is exactly the same only a little shimmery. I found that it stayed on reasonably well, although in very hot weather it had a tendency to slide off. So mixing it with other products would probably work better! This product doesn't have any SPF either. And you may aswell buy a tinted moisturiser with an SPF which will cover, protect and moisturise all in one. Talk To The Tan is only really for adding to a foundation or moisturiser to make it go darker for when your skin tone changes in the summer perhaps. So if thats what you need then this is the product for you. Where can I get this? Most Boots, Debenhams, House Of Fraser, independant stores, Benefit Website. Don't trust Ebay. Most are fakes!!!
The tan itself is really not greasy and works with pretty much every skin tone, but it is a really nice base to put your make-up on top of or it works as a way to a achieve a more natural look. Benefit claim that this tan will not be removed without washing your face or using a cleanser however I would say that it is like most make-up and will sweat off your face. For the price which is a long the same line as any Benefit product it is expensive especially for what it is. Despite the fact that it has an spf in it I would say that using "Jiffy Tan" another Benefit product is just as good and achieves the same effect and means you don't have to buy two separate products. It is good and if you like separate products for different areas then great but if your not fussy don't bother just buy "Jiffy Tan" and use it for both.
