      Rich and tasty honey!

When it comes to honey it's not really something I've ever really consumed in my lifetime really. However my mate bought me this because after she researched into honey many years ago she realised that it had alot less fewer calories than regular sugar in it (about 40% less according to my own research) and that it has many health benefits (again my own research showed it contains vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5 and C and that honey contains protein, no cholesterol at all and only 2 percent sodium, making it virtually sodium-free) and she felt it would generally be good for me due to it's anti-bacterial agents and I was just recovering from a sore throat/cold at the time I received this gift lol. Me, I didn't know what to do with it. I ended up drizzling it over popcorn, putting a spoon of it in coffee instead of my usual granulated sugar and my Mum even made some cakes and used it and things like that and I soon realised that honey actually has many uses (and doesn't always have to be eaten lol). The Packaging: This particular honey comes in a 500g, heavy see-through glass jar with a gold screw on/off lid/cap to the top of it. The label on the front is bright yellow and on that in gold and yellow writing I'm told it is Marlene Summer Blossom Honey 'Special Selection' and that it is clear and golden and the size is stated (as I've listed already). On the back there is another yellow coloured label and other information given includes being told a bit about the product, nutritional information is given and contact details for Lidl are listed. A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Jar: Only honey blends from the best sources are used in Marlene 'Special Selection'. Blend of EC and non-EC honeys. To retain the honey's full aromatic flavour, store at room temperature. Clear honey is a natural product and, as such it may crystalise. Should this occur, place bottle in a bowl of warm water until the honey returns to its original consistency. Honey should not be given to infants under 12 months of age. The Honey Itself: Runny and sticky this seriously is! Light golden brown in colour, it's so gooey and runny and simply it is like tasting golden, sun-kissed honey. Yes it's sweet and sickly but what do you expect from honey anyway! It smells as good as it looks and I've only ever stored my jar at room temperature and it hasn't crystalised or changed in it's consistency on me at all! Being runny it's easy to deal with of course and to manipulate to where you wish to put it and basically this stuff tastes excellent, blends and mixes well into things and tastes exceptionally good and is of full quality. If you like honey there is simply no need not to try this! At about £1.69 a for a large jar it has a large opening to the top of it (so not fiddly to use) and it's all round great! Try it!
