“ Brand: Smirnoff / Type: Vodka „
To begin with, lets talk about Smirnoff. Smirnoff vodka is absolutely brilliant. It tastes more pure and definately gives you far less of a hangover the next day.
This is because of the purification process that smirnoff vodka is subjected too. It is a very rigorous process, ensuring that only the best quality vodka is shipped to the supermarket.
However, the taste of the actual vodka is still pretty foul, which is where this stuff comes in.
This raspberry twist actually means that shotting vodka can become quite nice. It is an actually bearable taste! Another great thing to do with this product is to just add a dash of lemonade and then you have a really great tasting long drink.
This is the slightly more depressing aspect of the product. At a startling £19 per litre, you are definately paying way over the odds. However, this is a smirnoff product so it is something that i have come to expect. If you have the money to spare, about an extra 5 or 6 pounds than you would usually spend on vodka, then i would probably say that this is a wise investment. Your tastebuds will thank you on the night, and your head will thank you in the morning.
As well as this great variety on the normal smirnoff voddy, there is also a number of different flavours which includes tastes such as green apple. This is a really great addition to the smirnoff range!
This makes a really good change from just drinking your basic voddy.
Smirnoff is the vodka for me every time and I will happily drink it with many different mixers but I recently stumbled upon a Smirnoff vodka with a difference. Hubby and I were in Wales and hubby went to the shop for a bottle of vodka for me and not having his glasses with him came back with a bottle of Smirnoff raspberry twist.
I have to admit the bottles are very similar in appearance and as it happens I was very glad he had made the mistake. This is basically normal everyday Smirnoff vodka but with a hint of raspberry flavouring, I had a few of these with lemonade and they were excellent.
I have never seen this here in Scotland but I made sure I brought a bottle home with me along with the half a bottle I had left. It was slightly more expensive than the normal Smirnoff, we paid £13.49 for a 70cl bottle but it was well worth it.
The hint of raspberry is enough to give the vodka a lovely fruity taste that when drank with lemonade or soda water is very nice indeed. I don't think you could have this particular vodka with coke or IRN-BRU as they would just disguise the raspberry taste.
If you can locate a bottle of this vodka then I urge you to try it as it is great for a change and a very refreshing drink. I can imagine myself sipping these in a sunny climate somewhere, here`s hoping they have a bottle or two of this in Benalmadena next June when I arrive!!
Those geniuses at Smirnoff have combined two of my favourite things and come up with the most wonderful drink but then they go and spoil it by making it so her to get. The drink I am referring to is Raspberry twist vodka, when it comes to vodka in general it has to be Smirnoff for me, their vodka is just so smooth and does not give me a sore head the next day unlike almost every other vodka I have ever tried.
On returning from Tenerife last may I spotted the raspberry twist vodka and brought a bottle home with me but after enjoying it so much quickly realised that you can't buy it in the UK. I started to look for it online and managed to find a couple of sites that sold it but the postage costs were ridiculous and the drink is not the cheapest at the best of time.
A wine and spirits shop called Bells came to my rescue, they are just a local shop but they get their hands on anything in the alcohol market and the Smirnoff raspberry twist was no different. They managed to get me a bottle 8 weeks ago and although it was still a bit expensive at £18.99 for a 70cl bottle of vodka, it was worth every penny in my eyes.
The raspberry vodka was every bit as good as I had remembered it, the same crisp Smirnoff taste with a beautiful and quite strong rasp of raspberry (pardon the pun). This drink is simply brilliant with lemonade and one I would recommend everyone tries if they enjoy vodka and if they can manage to locate a bottle.
I will now be buying myself a bottle every couple of months for a special treat, starting with ordering one for this weekend and can't wait to enjoy some in the glorious sunshine of Tenerife when I return in September.
I want to purchase a bottle of raspberry twist and have got know one to purchase it from.It sells in America and you can buy it on flights. It would probably sell like hot cakes and hot dogs in the UK .You can purchase other flavoured drinks so come on and send some to our supermarkets and let us all reap the benifits of its quality and crisp freshness. thanks i hope to drink you soon.
