Light Fluffy potato letters from Asda for only £1.00

Asda Potato Letters. Price:- £1.00 These potato letters, are delicious and I'm an adult. They are a reasonable price and taste far better (less greasy) than the chips you can purchase. I would think that children would love these because although it encourages them to play with their food it does also help them with spelling words, I used these with my younger cousin and she found them great it made learning fun. The only downside I would say is there aren't enough vowels to make up a lot of words but for the price of £1.00 you can't complain too much. When cooking them I put them with either fish or another meat in either batter or breadcrumbs or for children maybe fish fingers, chicken nuggets or sausages with a side dish of vegetables to help towards your 5 a day. The bags are quite small so probably hold about 50 letters I would guess but don't quote me on that. How to cook: Just place the letters on a tray and pop into the over on a medium heat for 15-20 minutes although i always keep them in for a tad longer, maybe 25 minutes to make them. you don't need to add anything extra like grease or butter. Other Variety: They also come in star shapes although i find these are slightly bigger than the letters these are also a great value for only £1.00. or Zoo animals which can be found in Tescos own range for a similar price give or take 10p

I am always on the lookout for something quick and easy for my kids to have for tea after school, with the subject of this review being one of those things. The product I will now review is - "Asda, potato letters". The product comes within it's own plastic bag housing all the relevant information, brand name, product name, product description, nutritional information and a lovely looking picture of an "A,B and C" cooked to perfection and golden brown across the front of the pack. The letters themselves are around an 1 ½" inches at there longest point, though some are obviously wider due to the shape of certain letters. In the bad there are around 30 - 40 letters, with there being a good selection of letters included, though never enough vowels I have found to actually spell words out, which in fairness is a good excuse to get the kids playing with their food! The potato's are very similar in style to waffles, with these being a fluffy and soft mashed potato, shaped into a shape with the outer layer becoming crunchy and crispy after cooking them. Instructions for cooking are more than simple, place in a medium to hot oven for around 10-15 minutes, turn over halfway through for even crispiness! The taste is again delicious and just as you would expect with a potato product, tasty and extremely Moorish, I am terrible for putting a few to many on the baking tray just to justify the fact that I have to eat them so they don't go to waste! These seem to have there own grease added to the mixture so need no extra fats for cooking, but could probably benefit from being cooked on a rack, and let the tiny amount of fat included drip off. The nutritional information is as follows - Per 6 letters, 162 kcal, 1.8g protein, 18.7g carbohydrate, 04g of which sugars, 8.6g fat, 0.9g of which saturates, 1.4g fibre, 0.14g sodium. Price wise these are available from around the £1.00 mark, and located in the freezer section. For more information visit - www.asda.com Thanks for reading x
