This looks like a single speaker but it's not, it has a speaker on either side of the docking station,.
It is about 25mm high, 23mm deep and 55mm wide, weighing in at no more than 5kg,
The speakers are on the side of the only controls, those controls begin the dockign station and the power button.
This can handle several 'i' products, phones, pods and it can also be used with other devices too as it has an a 3.5mm jack for anything that you can plug a set of headphones into. Plus a USB connector too. So there's nothing that this speaker docking station can not handle. You even get the mini USB cable included in the pack, together with the 3.5mm audio cable.
This is remote control, which you get in the pack too, but you do have to put the AAA batteries in yourself.
This runs off the mains, plug it in and away you go. Unlike those docking stations that run off batteries this one is not likely to run out of power, unless you have a power cut or something.
It is not just a matter of a couple of speakers, this unit houses a 20mm inch tweeter, a 50mm woofer and 2 speakers, and all this together give a crisp sound once something is docked into the station.
Using it is a matter of popping your iplod, or what ever device you are using, onto the docking section, or connect the cables, then press the button that lies in the centre of the speakers, just above the docking station, and, using the touchscreen of the iplod, or what ever, you set these speakers going.
This thing sells for over £200 which is way over the top for any speaker in my books. Although, as this was a perk, I mean, a gift after a job I had completed before the tight deadline, I was happy to accept. As for paying the price...??? no, I don't think any speakers of this kind are worth more than £100.
I have given it two stars for the over the top price tag. If it was a more affordable speaker then I would have gone to a full five.
