      A nice tatsing Muffin.

This was actually the first time I had ever bought Bakin Boys Muffins. I was in Asda doing some shopping the other day, always on the hunt for a bargain as usual, when I saw these Muffins. They were at only a £1.00 for 6. I thought this was a good bargain and I know my children like Muffins, so I bought a box..

I really like the packaging of this product. I like the fact that not only are they in a box, but they are each individually wrapped. This is great and ensures freshness. Sometimes, in fact quite often, I buy cakes that are not wrapped individually and you have to be careful that they don't go stale or harden; meaning you need to make sure that they are wrapped up/stored properly. The box is mostly Brown in colours (going in line with the Muffin colour) and there is a round hole in the box, where the wrapped muffins can be seen. On the front of the box is a picture of a muffin split in half. There are 3 smiley faces on the bottom of the box; each giving information about the Muffins; that there are 'No artificial colours or flavours'; that they are 'Freshly baked in the heart of Oxfordshire' and that they are 'Lunchbox friendly'.

Taste wise, they are pretty good; there is just about the right amount of milk chocolate chips in each muffin; the sponge is moist and actually quite light. The muffin is large but not too large. Some Muffins are so huge that they are even too big for me to eat! These Muffins are just right in my view.

As you can see there are alot of ingredients in these Muffins and I certainly cant say that these Muffins are healthy for you! However, what I can say is that they taste good and at this current offer are well worth buying.

A nice treaty snack with a very sweet taste

I love the Fabulous Bakin' Boys, especially their cupcakes and I spotted this 4-pack of muffins in Poundland. Unsurprisingly they cost £1, which I think is a good price as they're a good brand and make really yummy baked goodies.

The muffins come in a box and each one is individually wrapped in plastic. The packaging refers to them as "lunchbox muffins" and suggests that this would be a good item to include as part of a packed lunch. The packaging makes them convenient to just quickly grab one and stuff it into your lunchbox or bag to take out and about with you.

The Fabulous Bakin' Boys say these are "A vanilla flavoured muffin with milk chocolate chips - Individually wrapped for maximum lunchboxability."

The muffins are of a good size and look perfectly appetising, the cake is light and soft, and there are plenty of chocolate chips visible with a generous sprinkling throughout. They smell lovely and sweet and I was eager to get munching! The vanilla base is gorgeous, very tasty and quite flavoursome for a plain choc-chip muffin. The chocolate chips are milky and sweet and they complete the yummy goodness of the muffin.

I'm not entirely convinced that the packaging is the best they could have gone for, the muffins seemed a little dry and did not taste as fresh as I would have liked. But in the end time is money and convenience wins, and these certainly are handy to have in the kitchen cupboard.

These are quite high in calories and are obviously not the healthiest snack to eat, but they are a tasty treat and good as long as you limit yourself. One muffin is quite satisfying by itself and I found that I was not craving more afterwards, probably because the high sugar level satisfied my sweet tooth!
