Buns To Spoil The Nice Taste Of A Burger!!!

I got a pack of these Seeded Burger Buns from Tesco when me and my 2 little sisters had a bbq one afternoon last week, I wanted to make it nice for them so kind of did the works and I thought these buns would go wicked with the burgers.

They are OK but nothing special I don't think and I was a bit disappointed actually and wished I'd picked up the Warburtons ones that I'd been looking at!

They are normal bun sized so fine for Birds Eye burgers and other small ones but I don't think they would be much good for bigger burgers because the burger would end up sticking out of the sides and I HATE it when that happens because I like my bun to be a bit bigger than the meat.

There are quite a lot of sesame seeds on the buns, not quite as many as in the photo Dooyoo have got up but I was glad about that because I reckon that's a few TOO many! lol Loads of them fell off when I picked the buns up out of the wrapper anyway so there ended up being even less on them.

They've got a mega doughy taste and I wasn't all that mad keen on them, I think they make them like that to stop the bread soaking up too much grease off the burgers but where I'd cut the buns went a bit slippery from the oil and that made them feel a bit slimey and I didn't like that.

They wasn't all that soft either even though I got them from the bakery section of Tesco so they must have been quite fresh. It's not like they felt stale or anything like that but I wished they had been a bit softer because they DID feel like they was about to turn stale. The crust is nice, the buns have got a soft crust but it's nice and chewy and that helped make the buns taste a bit fresher.

You don't get many crumbs off these buns even when you're slicing them ready to put the burger on, I don't know if I like that or not because bread crumbs do my head in but the lack of them with these buns just added to the feeling that these weren't madly fresh.

Not recommended..... they taste and feel like majorly cheap bread rolls!!!
