A great little spring roll for lots of occassions

Another one of Sainsburys 3 for £5.00 range (There's a theme developing tonight!) found in the freezer section. This product is £2.00 to buy on it's own but is always part of the 3 for £5.00 offer, which is really worth taking advantage of if you're on the look out for party snack food.

I think 15 in a box is actually a really great amount. The spring rolls are the length of about a milky way, but a bit thinner.

The description on the box is this: 15 Spring rolls filled with mixed vegetables in soy sauce wrapped in a crisp filo pastry. Obviously these are suitably for vegetarians, which is very helpful for me, and very often they are tiny little prawns in spring rolls which I don't like too much.

It says on the box that each roll is 64 calories.

You have to cook these in the oven for about 20 minutes, and when they are done they go a lovely crispy texture and a golden brown colour. A word of advice though would be to give them a couple of minutes before trying to eat them as the filling does get deceptively hot, and is quite painful if it burns the top of your mouth (I have done it several times due to impatience!).

The filling in these is made of various vegetables but I would say the main ones are carrot and beansprouts, and there is a sauce in there which gives them a salty and sour flavour.

I really like these, as you get quite a few in a box, and they are very tasty and easy to cook in the oven, the pancake is crispy but chewy on the inside and the filling tastes really nice. They are a great little snack or party food, and I would really recommend them.
