      Healthy snack!

I decided to buy these oat biscuits as a healthy alternative to other snacks and thought I'd give the healthy lifestyle a go... despite buying Kettle Chips with this (oops!) ~~~PACKAGING~~~ The oat biscuits are packaged in a thin card box with a photograph printed on the front, and upon opening, you shall find four packs, each containing six biscuits. I really like this design, as it means you can eat them slowly without them going stale, although I have ploughed through one pack within a matter of a day! ~~~APPEARANCE TASTE AND TEXTURE~~~ The oat biscuits are nice and flat, and oaty in colour and texture... which is a light brown/beige colour. Upon biting it, it has a minute salty flavour and it is quite chewy and textured. Eating the oat biscuit plain is rather boring, and unenjoyable, as there are no intense flavours. It is rather dry and I prefer eating it with hard cheddar cheese. This compliments the biscuits phenomenally well and the two flavours combine to a blissful snack, as the flavours are now more intense and the mix of textures elevates the biscuits to a whole new height. I would recommend these biscuits as it has great potential as long as you choose an appropriate topping. Nutritionally, the biscuits are great, as they release energy slowly, which will keep you happy throughout the day, with the cheese also being healthy and good. However, the biscuits are slightly high on salt, which is unavoidable. ~~~PRICE~~~ I bought them from Sainsbury's for under £1, costing around 60p. ~~~OVERALL~~~ To be honest, I bought these thinking they were oatcakes, which meant I was slightly disappointed but no fault on the oat biscuits' part! Having embraced my fault, I made the biscuits taste as good as they can and really enjoy them as a healthy alternative to overly salty or sugary snacks. This is a good product, but I personally prefer oatcakes~ I guess it depends if you are a sweet or a savoury person!
