      Tasty!

Of late I have had a really sweet tooth. However I'm really trying hard to stop snacking so much and to be healthy! However I come out of the gym starved the other day and if I don't have some sort of healthy snack on my person and there's a shop on the way home I am in danger of buying snacks a plenty! I love cereal bars and have been buying them singularly at about 50p a bar so when I saw these in my local Sainsbury's priced at a £1.19 a box they seemed good value for money! The Packaging.... Light brow box with a picture of fruits and grains on the front. On the front I'm told they are Sainsbury's 5 Fruit & Nut Cereal Bars With Chocolate Drizzle and that they are a good source of fibre, contain folic acid and are fortified with vitamins & iron. I'm also given a nutritional information chart and told they contain no artificial colours or flavours and are suitable for Vegetarians. On the back of the box I'm told a bit about the product and why they are good for us, a full nutritional guide is given, ingredients and allergy advice is listed, I'm told how to store them, contact details for Sainsbury's are given, the size is stated (135g) and finally there is a bar-code on there. Nice informative box and the wrappers basically are plastic and the same colouring as the box and contain some of the the same information. A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Box.... 5 mixed cereal bars with raisins, hazelnuts, almonds coconut banana chips with a chocolate drizzle fortified with vitamins & minerals. The Cereal Bars.... Not very big, oblong in size they are a really nice golden colour, rough in texture with a small line of the drizzle of milk chocolate on each one. Quite crunchy and chewy they are naturally sweet and not overly so with a great amount of fruit pieces ingrained within each bar. They are really oaty with small pieces of plump raisins in each and tiny pieces of crunchy nuts, coconuts pieces and dried banana chips. All very much in abundance. Like I say these are slightly chewy but again not overly so and the oats as you eat them go creamy in the mouth making them all round easy to consume. Overall.... A really nice little snack that's easy on the tummy, beats off sweet cravings and keeps hunger pangs at bay for a while at least without stuffing you! The only complaint that I have about these is the chocolate drizzle. I can visibly see the chocolate but it has very little taste to it and to me seems a bit pointless on there really. It's just not rich enough in taste and in my view adds nothing to the bar at all. However these are lovely and I like the natural sweetness they have! A great buy! Allergy Advice.... Contains nuts, milk, wheat gluten, barley gluten, oat gluten & soya. Nutritional Information Per 27g Bar.... Calories: 108 Fat: 3.1g Saturated Fat: 1.3g Salt: 0.10g Total Sugars: 7.6g Only available in Sainsbury's and in different varieties too!
