If you are looking for a easy to use phone with a great camera then this phone is for you.

I have had this phone for nearly 3 years now and I still love it to this day. When I first got my LG Renoir (KC910) I was immediately drawn to the colour graphics on the main home screen. I particularly like how there is a 'Widgets' section at the bottom of the home page that opens up a section where clocks, calendars, photos, notes and more can be added onto the home screen. In theory this idea is good but the Wigdets are quite big and I couldn't find a way for them to be resized so you can end up filling the screen quite quickly. I have a clock and a calendar on my home screen which fits perfectly.

The actual functions and features of the LG Renoir are superb and could maybe even challenge some more recent mobile phones that are supposedly better in comparison. One of the features I am talking about is the WiFi. It is easy to connect and the browser is pretty good although sometimes when you are browsing the intenet some of the text is cut off so it is hard to read. Also the battery life is compromised greatly when using the browser for long periods of time although this is generally expected with most phones.

But for me one of the stand-alone features that first persuaded me to get the LG Renoir in the first place is the amazing 8 mega-pixel camera. There is a twist shutter that acts as a lens cover on the camera lens on the rear of the phone that can easy be opened and closed to stop the lens getting dirty/dusty etc. When the lens cover is opened the camera will be active and it will bring up the screen where you can see what you are pointing the camera at and you can then take your picture. It is also easy to switch the camera mode to record video by just clicking the little video button on the top left hand of the screen. The camera button on the right side of the actual LG Renoir itself is easy to press and it is a quick way to get the camera up if the lens cover is already open or if the camera screen has changed back to the home screen to preserve battery which does happen if you leave it on without taking a picture/video for a while. The picture quality is very impressive and can rival even some digital cameras that I have owned which claim to be higher in mega-pixels. The flash is good and it can be easily turned off or set to only be activated when it is needed e.g. when taking a picture in a dimly lit room. There are also many modes you can set for the camera to get a certain shot for example beauty shot, smile shot, art shot and many more. The inner camera that can be selected however isn't as good as there is no flash and the different modes and shots cannot be used which makes the pictures not as good quality.

The main features of any mobile phone e.g. calling, texting etc. are very good and they aren't overly complicated to use either. The call function is simply brought it by pressing the little green phone on the home screen (not the button below as this brings up your last called contacts) and the number can be easily typed in and the green phone button this time (below what was pressed to type the number in) can be pressed to actually make the call. The texting is easy too just need to click the message button on the home screen and you can type away. Predictive text can be turned on or off (predictive text is called T9) and there are many languages available to use. By turning the phone on its side the keyboard can be turned into landscape mode and it will turn into a full qwerty keyboard although it can be quite hard to type unless you have tiny fingers.
