Iphone 4s is a amazing iphone. I have used it for 2 years and still don't want to switch to other models. Its easy to carry, beautiful design, very stylish and a quality brand product. Only due to recent ios updates, the latest ios has made it slow. Moreover it gives heating problem too since the latest ios update. I guess its ram is getting heavily loaded due to which the speed has suddenly slowed down and some heating issues too. Overall its the best best iphone till date.
Overall, I think that this is an excellent phone since you get the ease of a simple, apple interface and all the benefits that come with it, as well as a significantly lower price than newer apple products that are not that different. You can get them in excellent condition from £70 on sites like eBay, whereas a newer model from the apple store is more in the region of £500. Benefits associated with being an apple product include use of top-of-the-line apple software such as iTunes, the App Store and Maps. One downside however of being an apple product is that there are a lot of updates, though they always improve its functioning. It being such a popular product also means that it is very easy to find cases and screen covers for this model, as they are widely available in shops as well as on more specific internet stores. On the downside, the battery life is not fantastic, though this is the case with most apple products - depending on what you use it for, it could last for up to three days, though most people are looking at a daily charge. Nevertheless, this is true of most smart phones due to the sheer amount of tasks it can perform. In addition, the phone charges extremely quickly. Though I find that it's weight is a positive thing, many feel that the heaviness of the iPhone 4 compared to later models is a drawback - this is true if you happen to drop the phone, as the added weight makes it much more likely to smash on impact. It is also compatible with the widely used apple charger.
I had this phone for about 2 years and I liked it for the most part. Although, I have to say that this phone is a heavy glass piece of technology and if dropped or banged can smash very easily. Everyone I know that has this iphone or any other iphone has smashed it at some point and had to get the screen replaced. This can end up costing a lot of money unless you are very careful. I also found that the battery runs out very quickly and I would not leave the house without it being at 100% incase it were to die on me. This phone is isn't all bad though and has some really nice features and the internal ipod is great. Personally, after trying other smartphones (Android), I would not go back to having an iphone as I find other smartphones to be better value for money and good quality.
I recently bought my iphone off ebay. It is fast and perfect for all the basics of a phone: calling and texting are fast and simple. It also has siri, the voice control system created by Apple. It can call, text send emails, or set alarms at your command. The sound quality, and screen are very good. Though unfortunately, I have hear many stories of how easy they are to break a recommend a good case, because otherwise you may break yours.
The camera is of good quality and takes great photos. Whether it is portraits, the sunsets, your friends, or even (shiver) a selfie, the iphone is ideal. It has both a front and rear camera and takes great photos.
Many apps are available on the app store, from Facebook to candy crush.
Unfortunately, my iphone, and other people that I know one's can have their battery draining quickly especially when 3G is on. Mine lasts me about a day and a half without 3G, with wifi. However, mine is usually on standby, so would usually last for about a day. WIth 3G on, you can lose a percent a minute (mine does), and it's quite a risk, and worrying to the percentage number rapidly dropping. It charges very quickly though, maybe 3 hours to fully charge it.
Memory easily filled up after a year with photos and other general things that accumulate leaving me with uncomfortable decision of what to delete as I have still not backed up all my photos, videos, and documents. I would recommend maybe getting one with more memory, but, if you are slightly price concious, stick with this one, and make sure to back up regularly to leave yourself loads of space.
I have, and do really enjoy my iphone. It is useful, simple, and ideal for all its basic functions. Checking the internet facebook, calling, texting, taking photos and checking maps.
Overall, I would recommed it if you are looking for a phone with average battery, and fulfills all smartphone capabilities as well as having a good camera.
Do not buy if you are a workaholic and need to be constantly connected to 3G or 4G- if you do have to buy it- buy a portable charger!! Enjoy.
now you're probably thinking that because The iphone 4s is a product made by Apple, that it be quite durable. Well, think again. The main problem that i've had with this phone is that it is extremely easy to damage. An example would be when i was sitting on a garden wall outside the front of my house no bigger than 4 inches in which the phone fell from onto a concrete floor and to my disappointment the phone screen has a big crack going diagonally from the top to the right of the screen. If anyone was to buy this phone, i would recommend that you buy a case for it before using it outside so that your phone is protected. luckily i have insurance so getting it fixed shouldn't be a problem. The mobile data and 3g decides when it wants to work to be perfectly honest and again, for an apple product I'm not entirely happy with the phones capabilities. a good feature that it does have is Siri, although you can only use this when connected to the internet to do certain things. The phone has a weather app which allows you to see the forecast over the duration of the week which enables you to make arrangements with friends if you know it's going to be a nice day. When messaging contacts, you use a qwerty keyboard which is beneficial to those who are used to using a computer keyboard. You're able to sync your itunes library to the phones via a laptop or a computer as well as being able to store pictures in your camera roll. you may also take photos using either the front or back camera which is good because when you're on face time you can switch the camera round so that the person in the call can see your face or you can turn it around so that you can show them something.
If you're planing a train journey and you look for it online, finding the correct rout, you're able to screenshot it so that it is saved into your camera roll ready for you to view at any time.
On this phone you're unable to save files such as an mp3 file or a word document. Say perhaps you wanted to e-mail your cv to some body, you would have to make sure that your cv is saved into your google drive or drop box in order for you to attatch it which is a nuisance because everybody wants a phone that readily has every thing available for them.
The app store has a humungous selection paid and free apps for every one with an apple id to purchase, meaning that you can never really get bored. In my personal opinion the phone should be able to connect to a laptop and be able to receive music via the old school drag and drop method so that you don't have to transfer your computers music library into itunes and the sync the iphone and itunes.
I have had my Apple iphone 4s 16gb for almost 2 years now. This was not my first Apple product, I have had Ipod Touches in the past, but this was my first iphone. I have been very impressed with it and have had no problems whatsoever. The camera/video camera is great, the quality feels great, ease of use is fantastic. After having an Ipod Touch (which is basically like an iphone without the phone) I found it really easy to get used to, but I think, even without that i would not have had a problem. There are always pretty good tutorials on internet anyway, to help you with any issues. My only slight issue is that I wish I had gone for a 32gb iphone, so that I could store more photos/videos, but as I got this with a Phone Contract, I did not really have the choice at the time.
My favourite thing about this phone/Apple is the huge choice of Apps in the App Store. You could spend all day looking through them all/downloading, but you have to be aware of storage space.
I will definitely go for an iphone next time, but maybe one with a bigger hard drive.
Siri is great, but I do not use it that often - I mostly forget that it is there.
The quality of this phone is great, but watch the glass screen. I have dropped mine on occasions, but it has never broken. I have a tough case on mine though.
You will not be disappointed if you choose this phone.
This is the first iPhone I have purchased and I absolutely love it, I have had it for nearly 2 years now.
There are so many positive things about the 4s which makes life so much easier, for example you can get mobile banking, shopping applications and my all time favorite, the Tesco club card app.
Personally I don't think I would get any other brand, and I am currently looking to upgrade to the 5s soon.
With this iPhone like the rest you can get something called the iMessage, which means when you message other iPhone users (who have wi-fi enabled or mobile internet) it will send for free. I like this because you can also send free picture messages as well.
When I first used my iPhone i thought I would never get the hang of it, but its soeasy to pick up, the whole screen, internet tools and browsing are really easy to navigate through making it that much better then any other make of phone.
The best part of this iPhone is the iTunes library and the music player, the sound quality and video qualities in my eyes are excellent.
The only problem with this smartphone like others, the battery runs out super quick, especially if you are on it a lot. Although in fairness the battery charges up super quick so you can't really complain.
If dropped the iPhone glass is likely to have smashed as this is easily done and I have done it many times before, I hope apple looks at this problem for any future products they release.
All in all I would recommend any one to buy an iPhone they are suitable for many ages ranging from young to old.
Go for it!
When it comes to smart phones, tablets etc etc, I am a complete and utter technophobe, so for me personally, things need to be as simple and straightforward as possible. To cut to the chase Apple Iphones are, in my opinion, the most easy to use smartphone there is. And yes, I have tried others, HTC, and samsung galaxy to name a couple but neither were as fool proof as the iphone.
The frustrating thing with them, is if they completely run out of battery life you do have to wait approx 7 minutes or so before it will switch back on. This is somewhat annoying if you're in the middle of an important conversation, or any conversation for that matter and your phone dies. Also occaisionally it does freeze. But it is occasionally and is easily rectified by switching off and back on.
They are very straightforward to sync to your computer or laptop to transfer photos and music etc and with the added addition of icloud you can automatically sync from apple product to apple product eg ipad with no fuss or hassle at all as it does it automatically.
The apps store has everythig you need and are easy to delete and add, as and when you want them. You can even turn your iphone into a kindle with the kindle app.
I use mine for absolutely everything. From kindle, to online banking, to ordering my weekly grocerys for delivery. Buy a docking speaker and you have your own stereo system (providing you have the music on your phone first!)
A total must have phone in my opinion. I know I couldn't be without mine!
With so many phones now on the market that are comparable and fast as PC, does the Iphone still cut it in the competitive market?
I have always had a smartphone and could not live without it. Email, instant messaging and built in social networks are essential. It is a bit like having a remote control for your TV. How on earth did my life function without these items? The Iphone 4s takes it to a whole new level.
First of all it is slim, sleek and sheek. I love the curves on the edges and it just looks cool. It is so easy to operate with literally a touch of the button you are flicking through a variety of websites within seconds. I have been used to waiting a least 5-10 seconds for things to load on my previous phones. I never thought this would make much difference but I could not go back to waiting that long now.
It has so many functions probably half of them I will never use. That said what it useful for me are things like bluetooth, games, email, speaker phone, youtube, social networks and the speed it operates. Facetime I am still getting to grips with basically because I look horrible on the screen! Once I am over my self consciousness I am sure I will find this useful.
The downsides are things like the camera. I can come out a little blurry on occasions but that side you can adjust the light of the photos you take and change the whole picture at a click of a button. The only other downside is that these Iphones do seem a bit samey samey. By that I mean what is the difference between the Iphone 4s and Iphone 5? I mean the real difference? What is there going to be to keep me buying another one. That is for another day. This is my first Iphone and I am very happy with it. Will I be buying one again I am not sure but for now I am Iphone follower and I am pleased with my choice.
I've always had normal phones which I only use to take pictures ,text and to and answer ,make calls. I've had three ipod nano's and iPod touch so I was already used to using Apple products, I've have this iPhone 4S for about year and a half. I first decided to get an iPhone 4S after my contract on blackberry which I had for 2 years ran out,I wanted a touch screen phone on pay as you go and at the time the iPhone 4S was one of the top phones out. At the time most of my friends has an iPhone so I decided to buy it. This is the best phone I've had by far, it comes with a 8 megapixel camera, iMessage and facetime, torch, access to iTunes and the App Store and lots of free games/apps. I usually change my phone every two years and I don't see me getting a new phone, even though compared to other phones the iPhone is more prone to break and has less battery life I have never had an problems with this phone. After Seeing friends with other versions of iPhones and comparing to iPhone 4S this to me comes with the best features at the price you can buy it.
I just love iPhones and literally couldn't be without mine. The phone isn't large and best of all its touch screen which makes it easy to use. There are so many good things about the iPhone which makes day to day life easier like apps on the go Mobile Banking, Shopping and games. I first got my iPhone around 3 and a half years ago and would never use any other brand. I upgraded my phone last year and decided to get a Samsung Galaxy S3 and it was the worst decision I made it was only a few weeks later when I sold it and bought the 4s I just missed the iPhone so much and everything on the Galaxy seemed 10 times harder. With the iPhone you can get I message which means when you message someone else who has an iPhone the message is free which could save you a fortune if you text on a regular basis like me. It is so easy to browse the internet and to download things you need. I would always recommend an iPhone to anyone.
I have always used apple products, I have had 3 Ipods, an Ipad and this was my first Iphone. First off the Apple iPhones look great, they always have such a dignified look about them being thin, glossy black with a large screen.
They feel great, they are light and easy to fit into a pocket when needing putting away. The touch face aspect just awed me when I first got one as it was the first time I had ever had a touch screen phone. The touch response is second to none. The only problem I had with it was finger marks, although buying a relatively cheap film screen was no big deal. I also liked the fact that you could differ the brightness of the screen or have it on auto brightness. This made it so much easier to look at my phone in different lights such as night and day.
The actual processing speed of the phone is great, I find that it loads pretty quickly and takes only a few seconds for most Apps to come on. The idea of setting out the apps on the different screens was brilliant, only taking a couple of swipes to get to the screen with the app you want on.
The actual interface on the phone I think is the best for the smartphones on offer at the moment. Its just so simple to use. Buttons for the phone, messages and internet is right there on every screen for you to easily find and press. Within the space of a few seconds you can ring someone, send a message and check the football score.
Overall I think it is a brilliant phone, the only problem for me would be the price. I paid £100 to go on a monthly contract of £350! Pretty steep, you can definitely find cheaper alternatives elsewhere.
When I was contacted by my mobile phone contract provider telling me I was due an upgrade and asked if I would consider an iPhone I had my reservations being an android user. Although it took some getting used to, I have to say my high expectations were met. The design is second to none, extremely stylish and over the two months I've had the handset appears to be durable. The usability is great and took little getting used to - extremely simple software. The App Store has a great selection of music, games, movies and more (although I've already filled the memory with myv vast music collection)! I would highly reccommend the iPhone, the only downside being battery life so far isn't as good as previous devices although I am putting it through its paces with constant daily use at the moment. I also had a problem with one of the speakers not working when I first received the device and visited an Apple store in London - customer service was top class and they immediately exchanged the faulty handset for a completely new one.
I finally moved over to an iphone and did so with high expectations. These have definitely not been met. While the web browsing seems fine, for anyone who has not used an iphone before, this is in no way intuitive. The biggest disappointment is the photo quality. Compared with my 4 year old middle of the road android phone, I have noticed an obvious negative difference in quality to the point where I am unlikely to use the camera or video functions. I was also disappointed to find that i couldn't download icloud for my phone as it is not compatible with windows vista. While the design of the phone is sleek, it is relatively heavy and does not feel overly robust without a case to protect it. In addition, to transfer and set up my contacts took me ages! Overall, I wish I had gone for a cheaper android phone rather than listen to the hype and marketing associated with this model. The only advantage I have found is the availabiltiy of facetime.
I have had many mobile phones and smart phones and always resisted the urge to get an iPhone until last year. Now admittedly, I don't get the benefit of its sleek design because it is rammed into a bulky defender case but the look of it is very nice. Slim enough to be in your pocket.
The apps are probably the best part of owning an iPhone. You can do pretty much anything on it, and play pretty much anything from Sims to word searches. The selection of free and paid for apps is very good. The only downside is the regular updates (that I tend to ignore!).
A feature to definitely make use of is the cloud store, that as long as you are connected to broadband backs up your phone in case of a disaster. Make sure you switch on the back up capability for sure.
The touch keypad and screen is easy to use and pretty self explanatory. Siri is a pretty useless but great entertainment addition because he never does what you ask for.
My only issue is the newest update iOS7 broke my husbands iPhone, which Apple take no responsibility for so he no longer has his phone, but if you are like me and ignore upgrades, you won't notice anything wrong. For that reason though, I can't give the iPhone 5 stars.
