An okay family attraction but only if you live close and are not disabled!

Puzzlewood is a family attraction situated close to The Forest Of Dean that is based all around a common theme and features two different mazes, an animal corner and lots of scenic woodland to see and walk through. It has also been used as a popular location for filming with popular Television shows such as Merlin and Doctor Who both using Puzzlewood as a backdrop. The admission prices are fairly reasonable ~ adults cost £5.50, children over 4, £4.00 ~ and there is lots to see and do though you could not spend all day here. It is probably only good for an afternoon and best avoided if it has been wet. This is because the lengthy walk through the woods features much walking over logs and across tree trunks and can get right slippery after a rainfall. The different mazes consist of a wooden indoor maze and a miniature corn field maze that is tiny and very easy completed. The animsals they have here include pigs, cattle, goats and ducks and you can buy feed to feed them and there is a small playground area for the childen to play in. There is also a cafeteria but be warned, the prices can be a little steep and the staff here, like a couple of attractions we have visited in The Forest Of Dean, expect you to take your rubbish home with you thus not really nproviding you with any bins so if you do visit, you may want to take a carrier bag with which to collect your refuse! Overall, this is an okay attraction but don't go in expecting too much. It is not as big as we thought it might be, the Puzzlewood is very nice and no doubt a bit spooky in the dark but apart from that, just a walk in the woods! Also, because of the nature of the woods themself, the attraction is not wheelchair or child buggy friendly which kind of limits their clientele I would have thought but there is not much they can do about that! I don't think I would return again but it was okay for a one-off experience and I certainly wouldn't travel too far to see it unless I was staying locally (which we were when we visited). It therefore gets three stars but I don't feel as though it rightly deserves any more than that.....
