      Great boots

I have two pairs of Ugg boots. My first pair are the Classic tall boots in chestnut which I finally got last year after longing for them for around 6 years! I love love love those boots so I was more than keen to add to my collection when I got a full time job so had a bit more disposable income. My favourite design of Ugg boots is the Classics followed closely by the Bailey Buttons. However, I do like the Cardigan style boots too. I ended up buying these because I got a bit of a deal. The Cardigan style boots are quite a bit cheaper than a lot of the boots in the Ugg collection. You can usually pick up an adults pair for around £120 which is around half the price of the Classic tall boots. The Cardy style boots come in a variety of colours and I have seen black, cream, sand, purple, blue and grey. I got the grey version of these boots in my usual shoe size of 7. The boots can be worn in two ways. You can either wear them up your leg or folded over. They have buttons on them which can be used to fold the boots over and I have always worn mine folded over using all three buttons. This leaves them standing at around 12 inches tall and all three buttons can be seen. The area where the buttons are is sort of folded over so it is doubled and below this the boot is just a single layer of cardy. The picture above shows them folded quite a bit lower than I wear mine. I dont personally want to wear mine as shown above because I know I'd end up walking on the wool and trashing them! The Cardy design looks really good. I did think it might look a bit tired and could wear really quickly but it doesn't and it remains looking tidy and neat without any bits of the wool coming apart or beginning to look frayed. The boots look a little bit floppy when they aren't on your feet simply because the wool isn't stiff enough to hold the boot up. However, when they are on your feet they look much better. I was worried that my feet might look quite wide and big in these and whilst they do look bigger in these than they do in my Classic's it isn't too bad. The boots are lined with real sheepskin and this is thick and luxurious. I usually wear the boots with socks 90% of the time however I have worn them without socks a few times. The boots are so snuggly. The sheepskin is really warm and my feet are never cold in them. I wear these to work. I work as a support worker and sometimes I can be rushing to and fro for hours so I did worry that my feet might get too hot and therefore I would be uncomfortable, however they really don't. My feet are always warm but they are never hot, they are always just right. I work extremely long hours and a few times a week I start work by 7am and although I get a couple of hours to myself in the afternoon I don't finish until 10 at night and therefore I spend a great deal of time on my feet! I used to wear ballet style pumps to work and my feet would be sore and aching by the time I got home. These boots are so comfortable I never have a problem with aching feet. The fur that lines them provides me with a nice cushion layer which helps to protect my feet. I have worn these in all kinds of weather. I have worn them on a mild day and haven't struggled with hot feet and I have also worn them in the mornings when it is below freezing. I always wear them when its raining and although I did initially think that the design would let the rain in it really doesn't and my feet always remain dry and snug. I have walked through wet grass on a few occasions wearing these but my feet always stay dry and comfortable. I have walked a fair distance in these before. A few weeks ago I walked to the opposite end of town and then back again about half an hour later which was around 3 miles in total and my feet were fine. As I said I wear mine to work. They don't look scruffy but they are not the most smart of shoes either but then if you are looking for smart footwear you aren't really going to turn to Ugg! They also look brilliant tucked into skinny jeans. I also wear them when I am having a dressing down day and tuck my trakkie bottoms into them! I take a size 7 trainer and shoe and this is the size of Ugg's I buy. They fit perfectly. My feet are never sliding around in them but they never feel tight either and I definitely have never had a problem with them rubbing or blisters. I think the grey boots look really good and to be honest they probably are one of the better colours to buy because I imagine that cream ones would end up filthy within days and black ones could possibly look tired more quickly. I have had mine a few months now and I have had my Classic's almost a year. Both are still in brilliant condition and neither look worn or tired. I love these boots. I don't love them as much as my Classic Ugg's but they are certainly high quality boots that provide me with a comfortable wear. They look stylish and I am always warm, comfortable and dry when I am wearing them. I am sure in the future I will probably buy myself another pair of these as they are really good value for money and so comfortable.

        Four out of five stars

Ugg Cardy Boots After buying a few cheaper pairs of 'UGG style' boots I decided to look around and actually by myself a pair of proper UGGs. I wanted to get a pair that would stand up to a bit of wear and tear, while being cosier and comfier to wear than the cheaper options available. After much thought I didn't want to get a pair of UGGs that were going to be too similar to other boots I owned so I opted for the Cardy variation. Admittedly they are quite chunky and thick, while they do make my feet look a bit bigger they really are cosy and comfortable to wear. These boots unlike all the cheaper pairs that I have feel soft, sturdy and personally for my purposes I think that they look great. The UGG cardy is available in a variety of colours from some more practical colours of grey, brown and black to purple, sand and my personal favourite pomegranate. When I picked my pair I knew that I would be wearing these primarily in the house and as extra thick winter slippers, so I went for the pinky pomegranate colour. However, if I had been buying these to wear with jeans I would have chosen something a tad more grown up in appearance. When I first bought these I was a little worried about whether or not the Cardy aspect of the boot would stretch, you know that way that some knitted tops can quickly go out of shape with use. However, after a few months of wearing them they have stretched a little bit but my pair have mostly held their shape. But a word of warning, I would suspect that these cardy UGG boots would not be as durable or as long lasting as some of the other UGG boots if you were to wear them mostly outdoors. In other words I would think that although you can wear these outside I would be wary about wearing them out in bad weather, I think that the wool might be easily stained or damaged. The majority of time I prefer to wear these with no socks, because I wear them mostly indoors I don't need any extra warmth other than what the boot itself provides. It is also one of my favourite sensations, the boots interior shhepskin is so soft and so cosy that it is a pleasure to wear next to your skin. Despite being warm my feet never feel overly sweaty or uncomfortable in the boots, the natural sheepskin is meant to keep your feet warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The soles are also quite thick and they feel rather good quality. I have owned mine for months now and they show little signs of wear and tear I suspect that the boots will last for quite a while even with constant use. I have a stone tiled kitchen floor which I do like, but even with some slippers my feet still get horribly cold while standing around in there, but these boots are great the cold just doesn't come through the soles. When I was looking at getting my pair I had read several reviews about how it can be quite tricky buying the correct size if you don't get the chance to try them on first. I am a size six, maybe a small size six but definitely a six and when these arrived they were a tad tight to begin with but even after only a couple of hours of wear they had moulded to my feet. I would suggest that the sizing for these cardy UGG boots is pretty accurate. These boots have a typical retail price of around £150, which I personally think is far too expensive for what you actually get, so I recommend shopping around for a bargain. In the end I managed to pick up a pair from Amazon for around £80. These boots weren't exactly a bargain at £80, but because the quality of the product is good I don't really begrudge the hefty price tag. To sum, I love wearing my pair and although I mostly wear them around the house and occasionally for a short trip out or around the garden they still look great. I didn't buy them to be a fashion accessory but instead as comfy and cosy pair of house boots for which they work brilliantly. The boots get a promising four out of five stars from me.

          Disadvantages

          Look and feel great!

This is my second recent review on UGG boots, the first being of my classic tall UGGs. I received a pair of classic cardy grey UGG boots as a birthday gift in December 2010. Similar to other UGG boots, these are a pair of casual boots. These boots have a knitted, cardigan appearance, hence the name! These boots are available in black, cream and a pinky colour. The grey colour is quite a dark grey, and I chose this as they look good with denim or black jeans, or various coloured tights. The boots retail at £130 on the official UGG website however they can be found on offer in different shops at various times. For example, when I received mine, they had been bought in Office on offer at £100 which is quite a saving. As with all UGG boots, the inside of the boot is made from sheepskin. This means that when you put them on, your feet are immediately cosy. I find these boots really comfortable, it is like wearing slippers. I have had no rubbing, blisters or sore feet when wearing these boots, and they are perfect for a long hard day of shopping! The boots themselves have 3 wooden buttons up the sides. What I love about the buttons is that they have the UGG logo on them. After owning these boots for almost 2 years, the buttons are still secure and tightly sewn on, however my sister also owned a pair of these boots and one of the buttons fell off. It was difficult to source a new genuine UGG button for her boots. These boots can be worn in 2 different ways. You can wear the boots 'long' where they reach just below your knee, or you can wear them folded over. I like to wear the boots folded over, worn this way they reach up to about the middle of my calf. After 2 years of wearing these boots at least once a week, they are still in really good condition. The sole of the boots is thick and does not wear down easily. The knitted wool is still in perfect condition and has no plucks or imperfections. I did find that after a few months wear these boots stretched slightly, so my advice would be to buy them in a size smaller than your usual size so that when they stretch, they still fit well. Unfortunately due to the material these boots are made of, they aren't really suitable for wearing in wet weather. I have been caught in the rain a couple of times when wearing these, and the water did start to get through to my socks! For this reason, despite loving my cardy UGG boots, I am going to take a star off, as shoes that can't be worn in the rain isn't really practical in the UK! All in all, I love these boots and have definitely got my moneys worth from them, as I have worn them loads. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a bit of a change from the classic UGG boots, as they are different but still super comfy. Thanks for reading/rating and I hope you found my review useful.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

If you can get a good deal on them I'd recommend these Uggs!

---Intro--- Although I was extremely happy with my black Bailey Button Ugg boots (which I have already reviewed), I was still left wanting another pair. When I got my first Uggs it was a mostly a choice between the ones I got, and the grey Classic Cardy Uggs (they also do this style in black, cream, rose and others) which I think are the most popular in this style and this is what is shown in dooyoo's picture. So, when the opportunity arose to get the Classic Cardy Uggs at a bargain price, I jumped at the chance - literally, I was so excited it was unbelievable! ---Ugg Australia--- More about the Ugg brand including history can be found on the official website (this link is for the UK version of the site) - www.uggaustralia.co.uk I see little need in regurgitating such facts. Although might be worth pointing out that genuine Ugg boots are made in China. ---Buying the Uggs--- I was perusing the Tesco Clubcard site back in January, and came across an offer which would shortly be no longer available, to exchange Clubcard vouchers for twice the value in Get the Label vouchers. I know that there are other offers which make even more of the vouchers (3 times the amount - I miss the days when it was 4 times the amount), however I looked on the Get the Label website, and found that the Classic Cardy Uggs were on sale for just £79.99 + £3.95P&P. With £25 Tesco vouchers changed into £50 Get the Label vouchers, this meant that I'd only be spending £33.94. Wow....well, not quite exactly. Getting the Uggs could be a review in itself, but quite frankly a review of the courier they used to send the Uggs would be extremely boring to write and read, so I won't. Since it was my first purchase I had to have them delivered to the same address that my debit card was registered to. My Ugg boots made two trips to Workington (we kept missing each other), I made a long phonecall, and I made a trip to the depot in Carlisle, and finally they were delivered to me in Carlisle. See, a pretty boring story. Get the Label (www.getthelabel.com) is a retailer that sells heavily discounted branded clothes and footwear. Looking on their website currently, they only have a limited selection of Ugg boots, and the only ones in women's sizes (rather than for children - which they do a Cardy variety of) are the classic mini ones. I think i was just extremely lucky getting mine when I did, but it is worth keeping on checking for special deals! When I opened the packaging I was reassured that the box was genuine, and the Uggs not fake (well, I'm 99% sure anyway). Although fake Ugg boots seem to be a common problem, I don't think that a big company like that would be able to get away with it for long. ---Wearing my Uggs and the weather?--- Due to the nature of the style I haven't actually bothered to waterproof these Uggs, I will only wear them out in reasonable weather, and try to avoid the rain (which admittedly isn't easy in Cumbria). I imagine that they don't work too well in the rain, so would advise not trying. I think of these Uggs a bit more summery than my others. However, like all Uggs they have fleecy material inside which keeps your feet warm in winter and (relatively) cool in the summer. People say that Uggs are meant to be worn without socks, however I choose to wear mine with socks, mainly due to the habit of always wearing socks and not wanting smelly boots. One thing I found when I first wore these Uggs is that compared to the Bailey Button Uggs, there isn't nearly as much support on the back of your foot, and it's a bit weird walking in them at first, but you soon get used to it. I do have to say that sometimes I trip up when wearing these Uggs. Somehow I manage to trip over the end of my foot. I have no idea how this happens, or if this is just me, but maybe it's worth bearing in mind! ---What to wear the Bailey Button Uggs with--- The Classic Cardy Uggs have the look of a chunky knitted jumper about them, and are distinctly 'Ugg'! They have three large branded Ugg buttons down the side. The best bit about these Uggs is that they can be worn in different ways. They can be worn long, coming up to just below the knee. I like wearing them this style with leggings. However, they do tend to fall down a bit, and need pulling up occasionally, particularly when standing after sitting. This can get a bit annoying. I prefer wearing them down. You can either just fold them down having the backs of the buttons showing (a cuffed look I believe it's called), or you can undo the buttons and then do them up, making (in my opinion) very stylish calf height boots. Although these Uggs aren't quite as versatile as my others, this is mainly due to the colour - after all, black goes with everything. However, my grey Classic Cardy Uggs go fantastically with black leggings and a dress or skirt, and with blue or black skinny jeans. They don't go with my grey leggings or my pink skinny jeans! Perhaps some people might think that this style of Uggs is a bit weird looking, and prefer the other types, but I like their quirkiness. Ugg boots look best OVER trousers rather than UNDER them, so not really for wearing with baggy trousers. ---Wear and tear--- Admittedly I haven't worn these Uggs anywhere near the amount that I've worn my others as I haven't had them as long. However, for the purposes of review writing I have worn them most of the weekend. Ugg boots in general wear well, unlike their fake counterparts, and it takes a while for the soles to wear down. I have to admit that I haven't got my Ugg boots dirty, when wearing such expensive footwear I do want to keep them looking as nice as I can for as long as possible. However, I imagine that they aren't too hard to wipe down with a damp cloth. For proper cleaning advice there is plenty available on the Internet! ---Other important information--- The following paragraph is what I said in my other Ugg boots review. Sizing is an issue with Ugg boots, as they come in half sizes. My feet are a size 6, but verging on the small size of a 6, so I went for a UK size 5 (which has the size 5.5 on the box) which corresponds to a USA size 7. They say to get Ugg boots in a size smaller than your usual shoes as they mould to fit your feet - they should be snug but comfy. Different online retailers give different size guides, depending on whether you are ordering it based on a UK size or USA size. If in any doubt then contact the retailer first before purchasing. However, although I didn't do this myself, if you are planning on buying online, I would definitely suggest trying on a pair of Uggs in a 'real-life' shoe shop before ordering. While I wanted to give a definitive answer about Ugg sizing in this review (and I've probably just confused you all), so please don't take my word for it, speak with the retailer! ---Are they worth it?--- The Classic Cardy Uggs generally retail for around £130, I think I was extremely lucky finding them for £80 (and even better that I had vouchers), despite the difficulty of actually receiving them from Get the Label (I haven't since bought anything else from them although am tempted when I receive their brochure as they do have some amazing bargains). I don't think I'd be as happy as I am if I had paid the full rrp for my Uggs (and really couldn't justify the expense). However, for what I paid they were an absolute bargain, and although I don't love them as much as my other Uggs, I am very glad that I have them, and intend to get a lot of wear out of them!

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

an out of shape and shabby cardy

I've had just one pair of the Classic Cardy Ugg boots (compared to numerous pairs of other Ugg boot styles) and I have to be totally honest and say that it's the one style that I definitely wouldn't buy again. I bought my Classic Cardys about 2 years ago. I managed to get them whilst they were on offer, if I remember correctly I paid around £90.00 for them, with the full price being around £140.00. I bought them in the black, and they also had quite a few other colours available as well. The Classic Cardys are a knitted boot, a kind of a ribbed knit a bit like a comfy cardigan (hence the name!), they have the classic Ugg sole, and they have a sturdy heel portion which is more like the classic Uggs i.e. it's solid it isn't knitted. They have three large functional wooden buttons on the legs of the boots which have the Ugg logo imprinted around the button. I liked the black version as all of the portions on the boots are black; the sole, the heel, the knit and the buttons. I also figured that black would be quite a practical colour as it probably wouldn't show up the dirt as much. The Classic Cardys are quite a versatile boot as you can wear them in a number of ways; you can wear them pulled all the way up, you can wear them slouched down with the buttons either closed or open, or you can wear them with the leg or 'sock' of the boots folded over again with the buttons either closed or open. The foot portion of the Classic Cardys is just as cosy as the other Ugg styles as it contains the sheepskin lining inside which is designed to keep your feet toasty and warm in the winter, and nice and cool in the summer. These are also just as comfortable to wear and walk around in as the other Ugg styles as they have the same lightweight flexible sole which makes them so comfortable. I can wear Uggs all day from morning to night, be on my feet all day, walk for miles in them, and they are still as comfortable as when I first put them on, no sore feet either. I do find that Ugg boots are slightly on the big side, I always go down a size, I'm normally a size 5, and I always buy a size 4 in Uggs. I do have quite wide feet, and I have no problems with the foot width in Uggs. I've also got quite chunky calves, and I have no problems with the calf width in Ugg boots either, I can even wear them over my skinny jeans. So I guess I'll finally get around to the couple of reasons why I wouldn't buy this style again, the main reason why I wouldn't buy them again is that the knitted leg portion of the boots has stretched over time and has gone really quite wide and out of shape. I can't actually wear these pulled up any more as they actually just fall down to the slouched position as the knitted legs are so big. They even look a bit odd if I fold the legs over as they are so out of shape now. The second reason that I wouldn't buy this style again is that I think that they looked very shabby very quickly, the fact the legs have gone so big hasn't helped with this aspect, but even apart from this the other knitted area i.e. the feet on the boots has gone really shabby and tatty looking. I do look after my Ugg boots and I've had many pairs, I've had another knitted pair - an argyle pair, which haven't gone tatty at all, and so I've been really disappointed with these Classic Cardys. These were definitely not worth the money at all, I've been more than happy with every other pair of Ugg boots that I've owned and would repurchase all of these, but I will certainly not be repurchasing the Classic Cardys.

Expensive Ugg boots that look fantastic and feel great on too!

Recently I celebrated a birthday and was lucky enough to receive some wonderful gifts from my husband, as ever, including these Ugg cardy boots. I'm not entirely sure how much he paid, however, you can get these for around £100.00 - £150.00 depending on where you shop with special offers available at selected times of the year (usually the times when you aren't going to be wearing Uggs!) so a bargain can sometimes be had. I was incredibly pleased when I unwrapped these and squeezed my husband tight as they were exactly what I had been wanting but I hadn't even hinted to him! My particular pair are the grey ones, and I have the ones with the large style buttons on them. They are a lovely grey colour and they go well with numerous items of clothing that I own. These particular boots can be worn either standing up completely or folded down by opening the buttons and folding them over. Quite often I keep mine folded over just because I like the look and feel that they're nice and warm on my feet and ankles without being too high on my calves. The buttons are branded with 'Ugg' all over them and they look quite cute and stylish too. Because I have lost some weight recently these particular boots are a little loose on my legs/calves now, however, they are not slipping down or anything like that so I'm not too worried. These boots are made from wool and this is incredibly soft and smooth too. There is a great knit to these boots and it is exactly the same regardless of where you like and I like that there are no flaws or imperfections as that would just put me off these completely. Inside the boots there is sheepskin, like with my other Ugg boots, and this makes for an incredibly soft, fluffy wonderful place to put your feet when its cold outside or you're in need of some TLC. The boots that I have are a size 7, which is my usual size (with an 8 occasionally being needed) and when I initially started to wear these they felt almost a little too snug but I had already started to wear them by then and so they could not be returned. Within just a week or two of wearing them I felt like my feet and the boots were the perfect fit and since then I've had no problems at all with these being too tight or too loose around my feet. As previously mentioned they are a little loose around my calves but this is comfortable rather than awkward. My feet feel AMAZING when I put them in to these boots and I could happily wear these every day (weather permitting). When walking (the most important part of wearing a boot of course) my feet feel like they are protected from the elements and the soles on these are thick making for a comfortable walk that does not lead to me receiving aching calves or ankles. I do not wear socks on my feet while wearing these, as recommended by the manufacture, and I love how the sheepskin feels on my bare feet. My feet never get cold in these, regardless of the weather outside, although it is worth saying that I do not often actively set out to wear these in rain instead only doing so when I have been caught out at work after walking to work in these and then wearing heels all day. I do then walk home wearing these, for comfort and warmth, and they've held up very well to the elements so far such as rain and wind. So far I have had my boots for a couple of months with them being worn at least several times a week for several hours at a time, sometimes more, sometimes less. On the majority of days where it is cold and windy (without so much rain) I wear these every single day and they've kept my feet warm, snug and comfortable all day. Obviously due to the nature of these boots I keep mine away from water wherever possible but on the two or three occasions I've had to walk home from work in them after a days rain I've been lucky in that the boots have stayed nice and dry and if they have got slightly damp they haven't become damaged or lost their shape. I always take care of my Uggs which is perhaps why my husband didn't mind buying me another pair and in the two months or so that I've been wearing these they've been comfortable, stylish, finished off my outfits nicely and allowed me to relax while out and about or walking to work. I am sure that if the weather improves soon (hopefully!) that I won't need to wear these much, if at all, and I am sure that they will last well for all of Winter and beyond as long as I take care of them!

                Disadvantages

                UGG Cardy Boots

I remember before Uggs became popular my friend had a pair and I remember thinking they were the ugliest things I had ever seen and swore I would never wear a pair. Well, fast forward quite a few years and over time I have had a number of different pairs of Ugg boots. I have had a regular brown pair and a long brown pair too and a few years ago for Christmas my husband bought me a pair of the carry boots. A few years ago I think they were very popular and saw people wearing them everywhere which is why I think I wanted a pair but nowadays you don't see them as much although I still wear my fairly frequently during the winter. UGG Boots are usually sheep skin boots but the carry boots different in that they are more of a knitted boot with a cardigan styler material making up most of the boot. The sole and the heel are solid though so its not like you are wearing a pair of slippers, you still are wearing quite a sturdy boot although the rest of it and the top of it are slouchy and comfy. I don't think UGG boots can ever be described as a dressy boot but I definitely feel more dressy in a pair of their sheepskin boots than I do in this pair of carry boots. These are definitely a comfy, slouchy boot and ones I wear when I am just mooching about and not really dressing up. I think I feel like this because these are made of a cardigan material and I feel all warm and cosy in them and like I should be all snuggled up. This is usually what I am as I wear these int he winter a lot as they do keep my feet really warm. As I've said above the heel is solid and on the back of the boot there is a suede portion where you will find the little UGG label stitched to the back. The sole of this boot is also solid and then the rest of the boot is just made of a knitted material. If you were to stretch out the boot the material that goes up your leg is the same length as you would find on the Classic Tall UGG boot but generally I wear these boots folded over so you get double the knitted material and you get the slouch look effect. On the outside of each boot there are three big buttons which can be undone. These are black and have the word UGG written on it three times. When you turn the boot down there are smaller little buttons on the reverse which make the boot look good once you have turned it down. You can get these boots in a variety of different colours but I went for the grey which is a nice medium grey colour and goes really well with black skinny jeans. Now, I would recommend trying these boots on before you buy a pair as I think the size really differs from other UGG boots. Usually I wear a UK 6.5 in UGG boots but that is because they have a sheepskin inside which keeps them quite small inside but these carry ones don't have that so they have a bit more room inside. My 6.5 then is a bit big but its ok as I like to wear mine with thick socks in the winter anyway but I would recommend trying on. A lovely UGG boot variety.

                Disadvantages

                A fantastic pair of boots

**Style** There are a number of colours available with these cardy Uggs and I choose the grey version, although it was the black boots I wanted really they only had my size available in the grey and as they were half price I decided I still liked them enough to purchase them. When they arrived I was pleasantly surprised rather than being a washed out colour of grey they are nice dark grey and they go well with most of my clothes. They have silver running through them and this really helps to lighten them up a little and make them more attractive. These boots can be worn up as full boots or you can choose to fold them over and have them as turnover boots. You can also undo the buttons and have them folded over but I found I did not really like them this way. I have small calf's and I always have to be careful when I buy boots as they can hang from my legs and look like they are huge although my feet are only a size 4 which I can assure you is not a good look. These boots are a little large for my leg but the slouchy look of the boots really does not look messy or oversized they look perfect like they were intended to be like this. The boots are made of soft wool which is knitted to form the pattern of the boots and this mixed with the sheep skin inside the boot make them soft and kind to your feet. **Comfort** As soon as I put these boots on I thought oh no I should have went the next size up as the boots felt so tight I was tempted to send them back but on doing some research online other customers promised they stretch a little so I thought I would risk it and wore them out for the first time. The soft padding inside the boot did indeed start to mould around my foot shape and the actual boot began to stretch a little and although it took a few days they then began to feel like the perfect fit and almost like a memory foam mattress as if it remembered my feet each time I wore them. I find the soles on these shoes to be a lot thicker than a lot of my other boots meaning when I am walking they are really comfy and a dream to walk in. You are recommended to wear Uggs with no socks on as this is how they are made to be worn and I was a little put off by that it felt strange having large boots on with no socks and I was sure my feet would be cold but I can honestly say even in the winter months when it is super cold with typical Scottish weather my feet have been kept so warm and I have never have cold feet when I wear these boots. The lining inside the boot felt like it was overfilled when I first received them but after wearing them a while it soon flattened down and it really does feel like I am wearing slippers on my feet while I am out doing my food shopping or taking the children to the park. I wore these boots throughout the winter months and they are really comfortable I have walked for hours in them and not once have they caused any discomfort to my feet and I do not feel the need to take them off as soon as I am home like most boots I own. Although they are a large boot they are very light on my feet and a lot lighter than the classic UGGs available. **Sizing and purchasing** This is the difficult part there are so many mixed ideas on what size you should order a lot of people claim you need to order a size down while others claim it is a size above your usual size you should order so if you can I would say it is best to go to a shop to purchase your Uggs as you can try them on before but they do stretch so you need to take that in to account. I purchased a 3.5 and I am usually around a 4 or 4.5 and although at first they seemed really tight they now fit me perfectly they do not slip when I am walking and fit my feet as they should. I purchased mine from m and m direct while they were on sale for just £60 and I made sure I checked the Ugg Australia site to confirm they were a registered retailer as there are so many fakes around I strongly suggest before you purchase a pair of Uggs you check on this site they are genuine. They can retail for anything up to £125 for this style of UGG which is a high price for a pair of shoes in my opinion. **Durability** I purchased my boots last summer ready for the winter while they were on sale and I can honestly say during the colder months I chose these boots 9 out of 10 times. I have walked for hours in these boots and although the soles do show signs of wear and tear they have not worn down and it is purely cosmetic wear that they show. The whole boot is made to a high standard and none of the threading has come loose or any of the quality affected at all. **Summary** When the UGG craze was at its highest I swore I would never own a pair of the boots they are not overly pretty and the price they go for I was amazed that anyone would want to purchase them. After buying my first pair of Uggs 3 years ago I now have 3 different pairs in different styles and I have to say these are my favourite by far. I do find them too warm to wear in the warmer months but in the winter they are fantastic they keep my feet warm, are comfortable to wear and have plenty of life in them yet. I would suggest buying them on sale as this brings the price down considerably and the quality really does shine through.

I paid £43 for these boots on Amazon.co.uk, which I thought was a bargain as they usually retail for around £100 a pair! The boots are really stylish and comfy. They are lined with genuine sheepskin which helps to keep your feet warm and dry. It wicks away moisture so your feet won't be causing any odour to occur in your boots. These boots really help my feet to stay toasty warm, even when there's snow on the ground! The boots are well made and of excellent quality. The stitching is perfect, not one stitch is out of place and there's no traces of glue in and/ or around the soles. Talking of soles, the soles on these boots are also of excellent quality and they don't wear away like the fake Ugg boots do. They help your feet to carry you around all day without any aches and/ or pains. Perfect! I don't experience any pain at all in the balls of my feet when wearing these, even when shopping in the sales for six hours! You can wear the boots up or down, it's up to you. The buttons are well made and they fasten securely without slipping out of the holes. The buttons are easy to undo aswell, just be careful not to tug at them too hard. The boots look great up or down, although I tend to wear them up when the weather gets colder. Great quality boots. They look great and they feel great, just beware of fakes!!!!

                  Definitely worth the treat

Oh my goodness what a dream pair of boots. Now I will admit I love my shoes and I have no objection to paying a good amount of money for a good pair of shoes/ boots. The ugg Cardy boots tick this box. Apart from the fact that they are very versatile they are sooooo comfy and smart. I am not one for heels for day to day wear as I am quiet tall so I find that ugg boots in general are smart and can be paired up with skirts, leggings and jeans (don't think I'd try with shorts but probably could be done). The boots have a fur lining which is very soft and comfortable. I am lucky to own a number of pairs of ugg boots and I do not think I have ever been in an pain from rubbing or pinching as you can sometimes experience from some pairs of shoes/ boots. The material used is soft and flexible and during the winter keeps your feet lovely and warm. Now in order to give a well rounded review I must draw attention to some down falls. The Cardy boots are obviously made from wool which during the wetter weather which coming from wales is quiet often they are not always a practical shoe to wear. I must say that my boots have never leaked and left me with wet feet however after paying over £120 for my boots I do not want them to get damaged in the rain. There is a spray you can purchase (approx £5) which can be sprayed on the boots to act as a water proof protection but I don't know how much I trust this to fully work. The other disadvantage I have I also used as an advantage earlier. The boots are fur lined which is lovely when you are out in the cold as it keeps you toes toasty however, when you are in a warm office or a warm shop the extra heating on your feet can become a little uncomfortable. I will say that I do find this less of a problem with the cardy boots that the classic uggs. Over all I must say that if you are happy to spend the money and fancy a treat the cardy ugg boots are a good, comfortable and long lasting pair of boots which are well worth the money and seem to be timeless.

A really nice, yet expensive, pair of boots.

As a gift, I recently recieved a pair of Ugg Cardy Boots in Gray. I had always wanted some Ugg boots, but due to the fact they are expensive boots, I could not buy any for myself. Luckily, I got some as a gift and I am really happy that I did. My sister owns a pair of Ugg boots, and she has raved about them, so I was expecting very good things when I finally got a pair of my own. The boots are knitted, so they look like they could be a cardigan, hence why they are called Cardy Boots. There is a thick, rubber sole on the bottom of these boots, which have a great grip on them, and I am yet to slip whilst wearing these. There is a good amount of thick padding on the inside of these too, so your feet are just surrounded by comfort, top to bottom. When the boots are on my feet, the top of them comes up just about halfway up my shin. I was a little worried about how heavy they would be on my feet, as when I picked them up out of the box, they seemed to be quite heavy. I even compared the weight to my sisters pair, and mine are a good deal heavier! Her pair is not a knitted style, so I assume this to be the cause of the extra weight. Luckily though, when they are on my feet, I do not notice any extra weight and I walk in them just the same as I would in any other boots or shoes I own. I have found them to be really comfortable to walk distances in, and even after walking a few miles a day, I have not found my feet to hurt at all. In the hot weather, my feet have got slightly hot and sweaty, but nothing more than I would get in a pair of trainers. I was a little worried about the rain would affect my feet whilst I was wearing these, but there was no need to worry as my feet stayed completley dry. I don't get to wear these as much as I would like, as I find that they will only work with certain outfits. I can only wear these boots with leggings or skinny jeans, as normal jeans do not look good over them, they go all bulky and out of shape on top of the boots. I wear them when I wear leggings or skinny jeans, but I am more of a fan of my bootcut jeans, so they would get worn a lot more if I wore other items of clothings. These boots look really new still, and I have worn them quite a lot. You can only tell they have been worn if you look at the sole. The rest of the boot still looks as good as new. I have had fake versions of Ugg boots in the past that have not anywhere near lasted as long as this pair of real Uggs have, so they do seem more worth the money that is charged for them. Obviously, I did not have to pay for these boots as they were a gift, but if you were to buy these, they will cost you a pretty penny. The cheapest I have seen these boots is on Amazon for £109.99. They are available in other colours too, and they come in sizes 3 - 8. If you can afford the inital cost of these boots, I think you will find that they are well worth the cost, and I am really glad I got my boots. I give these Ugg Cardy Boots a 5 out of 5 stars, and I totally recommend them. *This review is also on Ciao under the user name of Hailee*

A real treat for your feet

These boots are FAB, very snug and worth the money. I have problems with an arthritic toe and when I wear these I forget about my discomfort. I have bought the more expensive sheepskin boots and I wear these ones a lot more. They look great with skinny jeans and leggings. When I bought them I was unsure how well they would wear due to the material, however they are still in great condition after 6 months of wear. I love them so much that I almost resent the summer coming as summer sandals are not as comfy. I have the grey ones which are quite versatile and will definitely be purchasing some more this winter. They obviously can't be worn in the wet snowy weather but this aside they are great purchase for chilly months. There are numerous cheaper products available I have bought these in the past as couldn't bring myself so spend so much on footwear. After treating myself this winter I can honestly say I will not buy the cheaper versions again.

                      Luxury shoes :)

I love Ugg boots and have wanted a pair since a friend of mine got some as they were amazingly good quality aswell as looking good. I usually settle for the cheap Primark copies, as at £8 they're a huge fraction of the price of the real thing, however with my Easter money from my lovely grandma this year i decided to treat myself to a pair of the real things! I looked around town but couldn't see any apart from copies (not ugged labeled but in the style of uggs). I shop on Amazon regulary so had a look on there, and after finding a seller who was selling them, I chose to buy my Uggs from there. There were a variety of colours available; Black Grey (Light grey, really nice!) Grey Marl, a slightly darker shade of grey - almost charcoal grey Black and Gold. This colour is amazing and the one that i chose. It's mainly black with specks of sparkly gold all over. Charcoal and Silver. It's basically a lovely light grey colour with speckles of sparkly silver all over! Moss, this looks in the picture like a lovely reddy brown As mentioned i chose the gorgeous black and gold uggs, which set me back £108. There were only 2 pairs left in stock in my size so i was really pleased!! Although the price is way out of my usual shoe price range i'm extremely pleased with them! They really are beautifully soft, look great and you can tell 100% that they're the real thing and not a rip off! They fit snugly and make you feel really cosey and warm. I've also noticed the sole is solid, making them great to walk firmly in, unlike the primark copies as the soles wear away within weeks and fail to keep the feet supported while walking. The boots are adjustable and can be worn in 3 different styles; ankle length, mid calf length or high leg length (they come to just under my knee). They are quite wintery styled and in my opinion suit best when worn with tight jeans, but if you have a skirt or shorts on and it's chilly they're ideal high leg length as they're like leg warmers! They're made from wool so as you can imagine keep you nice and toasty. The only downside to these shoes is i freak out if there's a puddle or rain as i don't want them getting muddy/dirty! They're apparently okay to go in the washing machine (according to a fellow ugg fan), but i'd rather not risk it! I'd reccomend them to anyone who'll look after them; it's pointless buying them if you're going to wear them to walk through fields in! I personally am aiming to wear mine on trips to town and parties.

                      cheap uggs

I have over the past few years started to purchase UGG boots, I purchased a replica pair and they were great, or so I thought at the time. But I then went on a trip to New York, where I opted to purchase the tall classic boot. These boots were excellent they lived up to the name they were very comfortable and after a year of wear they still looked as good as new unlike my replica pair that have now been binned. Unfortunately as I opted for the brown colour I could not wear them as often as I would have liked. So for Christmas I was given a pair of the grey UGG Cardy Boots, I had looked at them in the shops but I was a little skeptical as I thought that you would be able to see the shape of your toes through the front of the boot. But I was very wrong these boots looked amazing on and you have the option to wear them high or low, it depends on your preference. I personally prefer to wear them rolled down, when you roll them down you have another two options you can have the buttons on the inside of the boot or you can have the UGG logo on the button visible. The great this about the UGG Cardy boots is that they are a lighter and cheaper boot compared to the classic collection and they come in a range of colours. They come in black, purple, grey, charcoal and brown and I am sure as the year's progress the colour range will start to expand. You can wear your UGG boots with a dress or skirt and with trousers; they are excellent as they work well with a wide range of outfits. Cardy UGG's are made with an EVA sole, wool upper and a sheepskin lining. When you purchase your UGG's take care as a lot of people suggest that you purchase them a size bigger, I purchased them the same size as my feet as I found that both my pairs of UGG's that I have got have stretched a little as I have worn them. The only disadvantage that I have found with these boots is that I am not sure how to clean them as I think that the UGG cleaner that I have would not work. Overall a great pair of boots and if you want a pair of UGG's but do not have the large budget then these are the boots for you. I recommend that you shop around online my sister just purchased a pair of card UGG's for around £90 including delivery. Although be careful when purchasing online are there are a lot of websites selling replica UGG's as well.

                      The best winter boots ever!!

I was brought these grey pull on ugg boots 2 years ago for christmas. I have worn them nearly everyday since I was brought them. After 2 years of having them they are still in excellent condition. I was initially worried that they would not last throught the snow and wet conditions, however, they are still wearable and look nearly new. I was suprised that after wearing them in the snow they were not wet through or ruined. Since being brought these ugg boots I have purchased another pair from the range. I do think the price is quite high, however, there are durable, hard wearing and long lasting. These are the boots that i reach for as soon as a hint of winter comes as they are the most comfortable warm boots I have ever worn. I have to admit that I am a little bit sad when summer comes as I know its time for the uggs to go back away, however i know they will be in a good enough condition that I can wear them the next winter.
