I would like to firstly point out that the boots in the picture above aren't the ones i suggested for this review but here is the address to the correct picture: http://images.newlook.com/is/image/newlook/womens/ boots/high%20leg%20boots/double%20buckle%20boots/230602124?$get_the_look$ *Please note that I have had to post the above address with a space between "womens/" and "boots" as the link is over 80 characters long and it wouldn't let me post it in the review all in one go* My husband bought them for me as a little surprise as I had been feeling a bit down and a new pair of shoes are a sure fire way to put a smile on my face. They come up to just below the knee and have a nice sized heel on them for comfort. I usually stick to my Ugg boots as soon as the weather starts to turn cooler but this year I seem to be living in these boots. They are really comfortable and a great fit and they offer plenty of support while I'm out walking. I even wear them for a full days shopping and they don't hurt my feet and my feet are kept warm and dry even when it rains. They are made from a faux leather material which is really realistic and are lined with a softer fabric material on the inside so you aren't going to be getting rubbed by them. I love the runched effect because it seems to go really well if you are wearing something relatively plain like leggings or skinny jeans and just makes the outfit more interesting. Also, the double buckle around the ankle area make them much more interesting and fashionable that just a plain old boot. The toe on them is slightly rounded but still kept narrow so it is a nice compromise if you are more used to pointy toed boots but want be more on trend. I find that this is another feature that adds to their comfort as my toes have room to move. On the side that goes along your inner calf they have a zip that goes from the bottom of the boot to about two thirds up the leg so that they are easy to put on and there is none of the dreaded pulling trying to get your foot in. They cost my husband £45 when he bought them for me but if I was buying them myself I would be happy to pay double that due to all the factor I have mentioned. I think they're brilliant and are definitely a staple item this year in my Autumn/Winter wardrobe.
