      Yum!

In my home we all do really love salad cream with a passion and we do eat alot of salad incidentally lol. I love it on chips, in sandwiches with cheese and allsorts, I think I'm a little addicted lol. I've been brought up with Heinz for years but of late like a lot of other people have done lately my Mum has tried to save a few pennies by buying cheaper options and that usually means shops own branded products. I was a little dubious when I saw this but when there's nothing else on offer you have to give things a whirl I always say or go without lol. The Packaging: This salad cream is available in a glass bottle (285g) and will set you back 59p or in a squeezy plastic bottle (695g) for £1.22 or in a flip down squeezy version (4150g) for £1.07 a bottle. Apart from the container the salad cream comes in being different sized and styled the appearance of the labeling is all the same. We own the squeezy bottle and it's see through plastic with a white flip-top plastic opening to the top of it concealing a small hole and on there front of the bottle it has a white label and on that there is a photograph of salad and in red writing I'm told it is Sainsbury's Salad Cream and I'm told it is suitable for Vegetarians. Other information on the back of the bottle includes ingredients and allergy advice being listed (Contains: Egg, mustard), a full nutritional rundown chart is shown and storage advice is given and so is the weight displayed and contact details for Sainsbury's are of course given as usual. Nice large bottle this particular one we own and we do like a squeezy bottle and the lid does come completely off to get the last dregs out of if you want to which I think is very important indeed as I hate waste! The Salad Cream Itself: I love this salad cream it's just so flavoursome! A very light yellow colour it has a slight gloss to it and it is of great consistency meaning it pours out of the bottle with total ease but it isn't like water and does have body to it. Even putting this near or on hot foods it doesn't flake out and holds itself extremely well. Taste wise well it's creamy and you can detect a faint taste of egg and you can actually smell that rather pungently if you sniff it in the bottle (which I advise you not to do cos it is rather off-putting really lol) however when on your food you can't smell anything so don't worry lol! It has a lovely tangy, slightly sour taste to it given off by vinegar which is then levelled by a natural sweetness that isn't too much. It's nicely seasoned and basically it just really is a great product and of great quality offered at a very competitive price. At the moment I'm loving this over my usual Heinz! Great stuff and very economical this lacks nothing at all!
