      Horrible Pasta Sauce

I brought this sauce ages ago when Morrisons were selling all the Bertolli sauces for half price. I hadn't got round to trying it until last night when I had some pasta and wanted a nice rich sauce to mix in with it. I usually like Bertolli sauces even though they've all got a bit of a greasy taste but I didn't think this one was very nice at all and has got such a weird taste that it made me feel sick. It's a tomato based sauce that has got mushrooms mixed in it, I don't know if I had a dodgy jar but there wasn't many bits of mushroom in the sauce and the flavour was pure of tomato.... and not a very NICE tomato either! It's a mega thick sauce and all you have to do is warm it up, this takes a few minutes and then it's ready to stir through the pasta. I had a feeling I wasn't going to like it much because the sauce has got a proper funny smell, it's like those tins of chopped tomatoes with herbs you can buy but the herby smell was madly over powering and didn't make the sauce smell very nice. The taste of mushroom isn't there at all and I thought the sauce had got a majorly sickly taste, it's rich and looks wicked but completely covered the taste of the pasta and I thought the taste was just too strong. This sauce doesn't taste greasy like a lot of the Bertolli sauces but it tastes proper basic but overmade at the same time if you know what I mean. I didn't like it and was mega disappointed that it hadn't got a very good mushroom taste, most of the Bertolli sauces taste the same to me but at least they've all got their own flavour under the tomato. This one hasn't though and it had got such a weird and nasty flavour that I'm thinking I might have got a dodgy jar now, but am not going to try it again just in case this is what it's SUPPOSED to taste like! Not recommended!!!!
