      what all little kitchens need

The Early Learning Centre Pots and Pans are great for all your cooking needs in the toy kitchen. The set includes four pots and pans, a small saucepan with lid, a large saucepan with lid, a frying pan and a wok. They are made from strong hard plastic which means they have stayed strong despite constant dropping and bashing from the children. Being made from plastic also makes them easy to clean. The colours are light blue, pale green and dark blue. Each of the saucepans have a clear lid with an easy to hold handle. The handles on the pots and pans are pale green and just the right size for the small hands of children. The lids fit on easily and children have no problems with putting them on or taking them off themselves. They don't keep falling off either which is good as I don't have to listen to them dropping on the floor all the time. The pots and pans are the right size for young children and fit nicely in our toy kitchens shelves. Children are always using these pots and pans for there cooking. They love to make soups in it by putting all of there toy food inside and then putting it in the oven. They don't all realise it should be used on the top and not inside. They don't understand the pots and pans have different uses so they are all used in the same way. Often children will use them as bowls and eat straight from the saucepans with there friends (pretend eating!). I like how the frying pan and wok fit inside each other as this saves on storage space. I also like how the colour scheme is not aimed more at one gender because boys dont like pink all the time, girls aren't usually bothered. Overall I think £10 for the pots and pans set is a good price. It will allow children to cook there own food, whatever it may be.

      Great item, recommended

My niece had these when she got her ELC kitchen a few years ago now. My sister ended up getting most of the accessories for the kitchen from ELC because they matched in colour scheme and after having a very quick look around it seemed that these were the ones that provided the best quality for a reasonable price. When my sister bought these for Ellie there was only one colour scheme available which was dark purple and bright green and this matched the kitchen but now there are three different coloured sets available including pink and multi-coloured which are priced at £10 and a blue spotty set which are £8. Each set includes 2 large pans with lids, a smaller, shallow pan and a frying pan. I actually prefer the spotty design so I have no idea why these are 20% cheaper as none are currently on offer. The new colour schemes are much better than the purple and green in my opinion which although matching to the kitchen Ellie had they were a bit of an odd colour choice and they wouldnt really go with any other brands of kitchen. I'm surprised they dont have some silver looking pans but all three colour options now are very nice and look bright and fun. The saucepans are all made of plastic though this is not overly rigid but not too soft either, it is the perfect strength to put up with kids bashing them about etc. The saucepans range in size from around 15cm wide for the smallest one to around 25cm for the frying pan. All saucepans have a plastic handle which is shaped nicely to fit into your little ones palm. The saucepans are perfectly sized to use alongside the play food you get from various retailers including those from ELC. My niece used to cook a number of items for us including frying chicken drumsticks , boiling peas etc. She really enjoyed playing with these and they were played with daily for years until she began to grow out of her kitchen. The quality of these was to the usual very high ELC standard and even after being bashed around and thrown on the floor etc they were in tip-top condition with no scratches or cracks etc. My niece predominantly used these with the kitchen but she did occasionally use them as tubs to sort out various things she had and she also found they were great storage for all of her play food when the kitchen was not being used. We found these were excellent value for money and I would definitely recommend these to any parents/grandparents/aunts and uncles/godparents etc who are looking for a christmas gift for any over 3s (though I would say that with supervision these are absolutely fine from aged 2 as there are no small parts but as I said, only with supervision just incase). They are versatile and can be used with or without a larger kitchen and with a number of other items such as play foods, tea sets etc. Definitely worth the £8-10 price mark.
