My daughter received this minnie mouse tea set for her birthday as she loves minnie mouse. It came in a very big box so looks like an impressive gift but at a reasonable price.
This a lovely set children who like minnie mouse. It is various shades of pink and purple and has different characters like minnie mouse and daisy duck on the plates. It even has little bows on top of the teapot and sugar bowl and on the side of the cups.
It comes with a teapot with a removable lid, milk jug, sugar bowl and then cups, saucers, plates, knives, forks, spoons and a very nice addition is the fact that it comes with little cardboard tea bags on a string which I have never seen in a children's tea set before. It is a great set for role play and is a big set with lots of items. The cups and plates are a good size for little hands but not too tiny.
This tea set has been played with a lot and is very hard wearing and the plastic is very thick and durable and nothing has been broken. The pictures on the plates and cups are very clear and bright and do not rub off.
The only thing I think is missing from this tea set is something to put it in. I think it would have been much better if it had come in a picnic hamper or some sort of box as it is very difficult to keep all the pieces together.
I would recommend this tea set but would advise buying a plastic tub to put all the pieces in.
My daughter had a mini tea set that came free in a magazine she played with it constantly but it was flimsy and we lost some of the pieces. I decided to get a proper set for her birthday.
I came across this tea set in the Disney shop for £10. It looked lovely on the shelf a large plastic teapot through which you can see the contents. The teapot is pink and purple and the lid is shaped like Minnie Mouses head and includes her bow. The front of the teapot has a heart on it with a picture of Minnie on.
Inside the teapot you get four cups, four saucers, four spoons, a milk jug, a sugar bowl, a smaller teapot and two cake boxes. The set has four colours, dark pink, light pink, dark purple and light purple. Each teacup has a little picture in the centre the purple ones feature Daisy Duck and the link ones Minnie Mouse. The saucers are pretty little heart shapes with matching stickers. The little spoons correspond with the cups and saucers and have a little heart cut into them.
When my daughter first saw this on her Birthday she was really excited. She couldn't wait to open the pot and get the contents out. The set is the perfect size for her she has just turned 2. The little teapot has a lid that can be removed and if you wish it can be filled with water. The sugar bowl can also be opened to get 'sugar' and then the lid pops back on. We have had hours a of fun with this playset. It gets a played with almost daily, the pieces are made from good quality plastic and they are very sturdy. As most toddlers do my daughter on occasion drops her toys from a great height or launches them and this is still as good as new. What we particularly like about this tea set is the saucers have deep indents to hold the cups so when my daughter walks across the room with her tea the cup doesn't fall off the saucer. Once the tea making is over you can then pop all the pieces back into the large teapot where they can be stored neatly so they don't get lost. The large teapot is also very robust and made of a strong plastic.
The only negative I can find with this set is the cake boxes. These are made from cardboard and are very flimsy. My daughter stepped on one of the boxes on the first day and the second one I threw out instead we make cakes from Duplo blocks to go with her tea.
Overall this is a lovely set. My nephew also enjoys playing with it and he also enjoys making us tea it encourages imaginative play and I think it is an essential toy for a young child to have. 5 out of 5 from us.
We're having tea with Minnie Mouse!!
I love browsing in the Disney store as I could buy just about anything in there. Minnie Mouse is my little girls favourite character so we usually end up spending a lot of time looking at all the things she has for sale and that's where we found this tea set.
As you would expect from Minnie Mouse, her tea set is very pink, very girly and very bowtastic! (Minnie Mouse loves bows and usually incorporates them in everything she does.
This tea set is actually quite large which I like as it gives you lots to play with and lots of people can play with it at any one time. The set includes a teapot together with four cups, a milk jug and sugar pot, eight plates, four small and four large, four each of knives, forks and spoons and my favourite part of the tea set, four cute tea bags.
Like I've mentioned above the set is very pink and girly. It's actually a nice mixture of dark pink and light pink with some yellow green accents on it. Then, all the cutlery is purple so it goes really well with the set. The set is plastic and what I really love about it is that they have definitely shown attention to detail in making it very Minnie Mouse themed. The set is very pretty looking, for example, all the cups have little plastic bows on the handles, the cutlery have bows on the handles and on top of the teapot and milk jug there are big bows which look like the top of fancy tea pots. In fact my favourite item in this tea set is the milk jug as it looks like an old fashioned silver jug my grandmother used to have in her antique tea set.
On each item in this set there is also a sticker picture of Minnie Mouse on it. We have great fun with this set, making tea, serving cake etc and it makes it all the more fun that Minnie is the character on the plates and cups. The set cost £20 and is a lovely set I recommend.
