Beautiful Fish and Chips by the sea!

Weston super mare has a vast variety of Fast Food outlets. Mc Donalds Buerger Takeaways and Kabab houses to name but a few. I have tried and tested nearly every Fish and Chip Take away in Weston Super Mare and will say the water front is the best. The prices are very reasonable. It is directly opposite the new pier as some of you are not aware it was burnt down and rebuilt only two years ago. The thing I love about living by the sea is the Fish and Chips. You lovely people may think I would be sick of them after living here after two and a bit years... Well I still love them lol! Putting on over two stone since I moved here proves it! The food itself~ The good news about this place is Fish and Chips only cost £3.95, the only down point for some is that it comes with the skin on the fish. The Fish is beautiful very fresh and tasty in golden batter. Fish cake and chips ( 2 pieces) is only £2.95. The same goes for sausage and pie and chips. They also sell cold cans for around £1.00. They have seating outside in the summer months but not on windy days. The takeaway is open nfom April until September. Hope you enjoy your Fish and Chips by the sea just as I do!

        Yum!

Moving to Weston Super Mare and living right near the beach means that rather often (probably too often) I eat fish and chips! This place was actually the first place I got fish and chips from when I was only a visitor...way before I considered moving here and now.....well I have them at least once a week from here! The Place: The Water Front Fish Bar 1 Regent Street Avon Weston Super Mare BS23 1SE The chippy (as I refer to it) is opposite the new grand pier and it isn't an eat in restaurant or anything like that. Basically you don't even go inside but you order through windows. You can see all the hot plates and things going on in there but you don't go inside as such! The Food: Well you get all the usual things. Fish and chips which is cod is £3.50, sausage and chips £3.00 and there are a variety of pies and things too. A box of chips (we get ours in boxes and not in paper here), cost £1.20 a bag and you can get curry sauce, mushy peas and things like that for 80p and drinks are around 80p-£1.00 a time. Sometimes you so have to wait for foods to be cooked of course but there is never a very long wait as this is such a busy place with a really high turnover of customers. The place looks very clean indeed as do the staff and they are very polite. You help yourself to the salt and vinegar which is provided on tables outside and that is it. Order and go! The Food: Chips in Weston taste horrible. I find it really hard to just go get a take away from anywhere and this place each and every time I go makes gorgeous food! The chips are always chippy style chips. Never too greasy but never dried up and I always get a really good portion of them. I usually opt for fish and chips and the only issue I have with this is that they always leave the skin on the fish, a fact which drives alot of people I have taken to get food there mad, though I don't mind it! I have eaten pies and things there too and always things are cooked well and taste great! Sadly there is nowhere to really sit but this is a cheap and cheerful chippy and the food really is great! Open 12.00-5.30pm this place will remain a firm favourite of mine!
