“ Address: Unit 3 / The Corner House / South Sherwood Street / Nottingham / NG1 4BY „
Whenever my flatmate and I go out for lunch or dinner, we always tend to go to the same places in Nottingham because we know we really like them and we know we're getting good value for money. However, I was feeling like trying somewhere else not long ago and having never been to a T.G.I. Friday's, we decided to go there. T.G.I. Friday's is located at the Cornerhouse in Nottingham, which is in the city center. The Cornerhouse is a multitude of restaurants and entertainment businesses like a cinema and casino, which aims to give near enough everything in one place so that people don't have to go far for a good day or night out. As this restaurant is in the city center, it is easily accessible by many bus routes and there is also parking nearby in the Victoria Center. == Opening Times == Mon 11:30am - 11:00pm Tue 11:30am - 11:00pm Wed 11:30am - 11:00pm Thu 11:30am - 11:00pm Fri 11:30am - 11:00pm Sat 11:30am - 11:00pm Sun 11:30am - 10:30pm T.G.I. Friday's is an American restaurant chain so automatically, I think of burgers etc. being the kinds of food that are available. We visited the restaurant during the daytime on a Monday, when offers are available on food. All day Monday to Thursday, you can get 2 courses from a limited menu for £9.99 or 2 courses from a slightly better menu for £14.99. This was one of the main reasons why we came to T.G.I. Friday's. There is a much larger, fuller menu available too if there is nothing you fancy from the offer menu. As we went for the offer, we had a limited choice in what we could order. I should also mention here that the 2 courses on offer are appetizers and main courses, no desserts. I chose to go for the mozzarella dippers which came with a marinara sauce while my flatmate chose loaded potato skins with cheese and mushrooms. Our starters arrived fairly quickly, even though the restaurant was really busy at the time. The mozzarella dippers consisted of 5 long strips of mozzarella coated in bread crumbs with a dip on the side. I was surprised that these were so big and that you got 5 of them, considering the cost of the offer. The dippers were extremely hot although eating them was not a problem. After 3 though, I was beginning to get a little bored of them but they were really nice. For our main course, we both chose to have a classic American burger with added cheese. This came with lettuce, red onion, tomato and mayo with a side of fries. The burger was cooked to perfection, the meat not dry at all. Along with the toppings and cheese, the burger tasted amazing. The fries were hot and crispy and went really well with the meal. The burger was also really big so we both had to cut it in half before we could start to eat it. Our mouths just aren't that big!! As for service, it couldn't have gotten much better. We were so picky about what we wanted and our waitress had to come back several times before we knew what we wanted to order. Every single time she came back with a smile on her face and was nothing but nice. She also came to check on us and our meals a couple of times throughout our visit but it never seemed too much like it can do at some other restaurants. I thought that the service here was impeccable and mixed in with some fabulous food at a great price, these things would make me want to go back again. All in all, my first visit to a T.G.I. Friday's was a fantastic experience and I shall now be adding it to the list of places we go regularly.
