A lovely little cafe to stop off at if you're ever in Eastbourne

Greens Cafe is based in Eastbourne town centre in East Sussex, The cafe specialises in vegetarian food, and can be found easily from the train station as it just just a short walk from there.

The few times I have visited Greens Cafe I have found it to be spacious, clean, and sporting a very comfortable padded seats, much to my liking. The lady in charge is called Sandie and she is always very friendly and accommodating. The cafe is not usually very busy so I find it a nice place to relax away from the busy town for a while. Most of the other cafes in Eastbourne seem to be greasy spoons and there is not much healthy food on offer, so Greens Cafe is a bit of a gem in that regard - for veggies especially.

Greens Cafe is very family-friendly, with games for children, crayons, colouring books, baby wipes, high chairs, and free ABC magazines. There is also Scrabble for the adults. However, the toilet is currently a tiny room with no changing table, so parents with little babies beware! Sandie was very helpful when I told her I needed to change my baby's nappy and she cleaned a non-dining table at the back of the cafe, though this was not ideal of course.

The owner of the cafe is flexible, and she doesn't charge extra if you ask for something a little different tp what's on the menu. The food is home-made, affordable and nutritious and it has always arrived in good time, so I don't have any complaints there. Last time I ate there I had a hummus and avocado wrap which was very filling and nutritious, and a fresh orange juice. There is also a good selection of home-made cakes on offer and low-sugar and sugar-free drinks available for little ones.

The lack of baby changing situation was not ideal, so because of that I am giving Greens Cafe 4 stars instead of 5. However the manager did say that they are looking into fitting larger toilets with baby and disabled facilities, so long as they can get planning permission to do it.
