I am usually not that much of a fan when it comes to pizza but ever since trying dominos pizza I have loved it. Dominos is available by ordering online or collecting in store. The app is the easiest way for me though. When ever I order dominos pizza I browse through the app and order my food on there. The app lets you know the process of your pizza being delivered, the delivery tracker tells you when your order has been placed, when it is being prepared, when it is being baked and when it is being delivered. This is helpful as I know when to get ready to open the door. Although dominos offers delicious pizzas they also have mouth watering sides. Their sides include maccaroni bites, garlic bread, different types of chicken, nachos and wedges. My favourite thing to order from dominos is maccaroni bites and chicken strippers with wedges. The only bad thing about dominos is the price. The price is rediculous for pizza. When my whole family of 6 order from dominos is comes to up to £50. This is way too much for pizza and a few sides in my opinion. I do often still order a few things from dominos when I have the money though because their food has a delicious and unique taste. I do not really like pizza from any other companys as it isn't as big and does not have such a wide variety of toppings. I always have their tandoori chicken which is fantastic and mushrooms with pineapple. This is my favorite pizza delivery service by far. although it is overpriced it tastes so great.
I have always used dominos as my preferred method of takeaways! The taste is incredible and the price is terrible. Dominos is common in many towns and is used by many people, however I have found that different dominos in different towns have very differing tastes
A large pizza is around 16.99, which is rather expensive. However there are many vouchers posted online which allow you to get discounts. I also receive emails from dominos which offer deals and discounts.
Dominos is by far the tastiest pizza take away company, I love the choice of topping which you can put on the pizzas and they all taste fresh. They also have many side dishes such as chicken wings which add to the meal nicely. Although the food is probably not very good for you, I think it''s nice to treat yourself once in a while as it''s tasty. The food is great to Order for parties
When I order from my local dominoes in Horsham, delivery time is usually half an hour, the pizzas and food always arrive very hot and the delivery drivers we get are also very friendly and chatty when at the door. I am always happy with the quickness of delivery and how hot the food is.
If you have never tried dominos then I would suggest that you give it a try. There is a very large selection of food, so have a look through the menu. There are weekly deals to be found so have a browse on the internet as new deals regularly pop up. I rate dominos over any of my local delivery companies, although the price is high, you get good quality food with amazing dips and sides!
Give them a try, I have given them 4 stars. Only deducting a star because the price is a little steep to use them regularly
Ordered 3 pizzas Xmas eve to be delivered . Looked great on the menu. When they turned up couldn't believe it! smaller than expected and hardly any topping. If they were cheap I may have let it go but we paid £22.97!! Very disappointed and would suggest to anyone that they should avoid them -go to a local independent or Pizza Hut. Dominos are absolute rubbish! 1 star is generous !
fist experience with Dominoes I had to wait 75min for a pizza in their shop. second experience: i ordered online. after 2 hours i phoned them to say i had not received anything. they said they don't have online access so cant do anything about it. i asked for a refund or for the order to be delivered. they refused and said i should contact them on a week day during working hours for a refund. I had ordered pizza for friends on the last day of the month, so i was then left without food and no money. it took two weeks to get my money back.
Today me and my colleague Mike ordered a Dominos on our late shift. Not only did it arrive promptly but it was delicious and delivered with a warm smile. I'll never forget this Tuesday late shift it really was a good oneCimike Tayligan
ordered from the dominos on shoreham road last night...nearly £25 for two small pizza's...The delivery was fast and the pizza felt hot..only on closer inspection it was fairly underdone, the toppings were immensely watery and NOT ONCE did i bite the pizza and a string of cheese come away - why? because there was hardly any cheese at all!!!! tasteless and expensive..let down and never again.
Normally I would rate Domino's a top pizza but the last two I ordered from Hove were seriously lacking in sauce/flavour. I couldnt work out if this was due to the base sauce or lack of cheese. It actually occurred to me that the preparer forgot to add a layer on. It was otherwise fairly tasty - just like a diet version. You know like those Boots diet sandwiches which are tasty but missing a certain something.
Just had an American Hot pizza delivered. Very little to say other than this must be the worst pizza ever, soggy, limp, tasteless pizza. Open the box and it looks like something thats been pulled out of the trash can ! Come on guys, get your act together, this is overpriced rubbish ! Forgot to say the delivery was slow as well !
Dominos is good. Apart from a little italian place i visited when on holiday abroad, Dominos is the best pizza I've had (on most occasions). But it is worth £17 for one large pizza? Well thats a no brainer, no it isn't.
I think of Dominos almost as designer pizza! Just how designer clothes are good quality they arent worth the asking price.
I do eat dominos pizza once in a blue moon but I never get it all full price. If theres a special deal on (50% off for instance) then i may get it.
I'm not sure if it applies to all Dominos as I moved a year or two ago but since coming to where I live now in East Sussex I've found the quality of the pizza to have gone down. Ive been given cold pizzas, often late pizzas and overcooked pizzas. Once my pizza didnt turn up, 2 and a half hours later i rang and 3 horus later i got my pizza. It clearly was exactly the same pizza as was burnt where it had been heated and all congealed.
On two occasions I have got food poisoning from Dominos pizza. I know they were the culprit because on both occasions I wasnt the only one sick. My advice? Dont order pizza with anchovies- these were the cause both times!
Saying this I still crave them and would never turn one down. Maybe its all the advertising gone to my head (Just like coca cola!), maybe theyre as addictive to me as turkey twizzlers used to be (before bloody Jamie Oliver!), maybe its just that delicious dip they serve with it! I wouldn't reccomend to anyone who is struggling with money- its not worthit- but if you're comfortable and feeling a little bit lazy regarding mealtime then check them out.
You can order online or via telephone. I usually take the online route, the menu is pretty simple and easy to use and you can even get a realtime update of your order (is it baking, is it being delivered) which I'm a fan of! The only thing that annoys me is when you go the checkout it asks if you want anything else added to your order with a whole list of things. Upon last using this it asked the same thing after putting my voucher code in but thats all I can fault with website design.
I'd say its definitly one of those things you've gotta taste at least once (with a voucher, not full price!).
Domino's have just opened a restaurant near us so we thought we'd give them a try. At first I was horrified at the prospect of paying £30 for 2 pizzas but found a code for 50% off making 2 pizzas for £15 a little more palatable! We placed our order and specified a delivery time and it came at exactly the time we requested, I was also quite amused to see you could track the status of the order through their website. The delivery driver wasn't the friendliest person but nevermind!
The pizzas themselves were very tasty and you can tell that, unlike other takeaways, the quality of the ingredients they use is very good, it was by far the nicest pizza we've had in a long time. All good so far, until later on in the night when both myself and my husband started getting heart palpitations! My theory is this was due to the pizzas having alot of salt in them, as after drinking 2 pints of water I felt alot better, though obviously I can't prove this and it's just my opinion.
I would still use them again, but would never pay full price for them as, although they are nice, there is no way they are worth £15 each and I was also a little disappointed as they didn't seem to have a great deal of choice.
If you are ordering remember to go through a cashback site!
Dominos used to be my go-to, but over the past year it's just gone to the dogs.Delivery people can't find my house (I order every week...how many times must it take to figure it out?), and the food has gotten atrocious while the prices have gone up. A damned shame, because I'm not a Pizza Hut fan...guess I'll have to learn to bake my own.
I use our local Domino's Pizza fairly frequently and have always received good customer service and good quality food.
Previously, we would receive voucher booklets via post quite often offering 40/50% off telephone orders but this has dwindled over the last few years and I've found that discount codes for their online ordering service are becoming more common via text or email, usually for £10 off a £35 spend or 30% a £30 spend. So, the offers aren't quite what they used to be. Despite this, I find it's usually easy enough to find a discount code online if I look hard enough. I have never ordered a Domino's without a discount code or voucher because they are far too pricey.
The online ordering service is straight forward and easy to use. There is a new deal wizard function which points out offers which may be useful to you based on what you have ordered. There is an option to pay cash, card or Paypal which is also useful. Once your ordered has been placed, there is an order tracker which informs you of the status of your order.
There are a wide choice of pizzas on order plus various sides, desserts and drinks. I like the Half and Half option as you can save money on sharing a pizza this way. There are several pizza base options including stuff crust and stuffed base, too.
My orders usually arrive in under half an hour but there have been a few delays, the store will normally inform me of the expected delivery time on placing my order if I place it over the telephone. The staff have always been helpful and courteous and my food is almost always hot on arrival. The one time my food was lukewarm they gave me a repeat order free the next time I ordered.
The stupidest offer from Domino's yet came through my door today (in East Hampshire).
Any pizza any size for £10.99! £10.99?! And NOT delivered? Are you KIDDING ME? That's barely an offer at all! The 'any size' pizza deal for £5.99 was a really good deal, and that was only 6 months ago! The funniest thing is what they're saying the ORIGINAL prices were!
Apparently the prices are REDUCED from (subtract the usual 1p from these):
£12 for a SMALL pizza (YES! SMALL! Who in their right mind would pay £12 for a SMALL pizza!)
£15 for a MEDIUM pizza (rediculous for an AVERAGE sized pizza!)
And the BEST YET:
£17 for a large pizza (you have GOT to be kidding! No idiot would pay £17 for a pizza! They are cheaper in restaurants!)
This 'offer' is firmly going in the trash. Utterly rediculous. Domino's pizza 'offers' have been becoming more of a joke as time passes, and it's likely to be down to GREED as usual. They may as well say the pizza was REDUCED from £10000, then say 99% off! If Domino's persist in putting ABSURD OFFERS like this through my door I'll ring them and ask them to leave my property alone!
Domino's Pizza has over 8,700 stores in over 60 countries.
Tom Monaghan opened the first Domino's Pizza place in 1960 in the USA. The first store opened in the UK in 1985. This surprised me as I thought they had been around the UK longer than this as people rave so much about the pizza's.
Tom joined forces with his brother and together they opened a pizza delivery store in Michigan. They named it DomiNicks. A year later, Tom traded his Volkswagen Beetle car for his brother's share of the store and later renamed his business Domino's Pizza.
I have to ask are they worth the money? A small basic cheese and tomato pizza costs £8.99 which is 6 slices and I think around the 9-10 inch size. If I order this from a local takeaway I expect to pay around £3.50.
So why is Domino's so special that people will pay more than twice the cost?
My girls love domino's although the first time they tried it was only last year because of the 'two for Tuesday' offer.
Domino's do 4 sizes of pizza - a personal (4 slices which I think is about 6 inch), a small (6 slice) medium (8 slices, I think about a 12 inch) and a large (10 slices 14-16 inch). Apart from the personal size all the pizzas come with a little tub of garlic and herb dip which my girls love especially to dip any crust in. I find the dip ok but it is very garlicy (but it is a garlic dip).
You can create your own pizza by adding extra things on to any pizza that is already on the menu (for a price). They have a mixture of things that can be added and now have a new gourmet range.
------------------------- Some of the Extra toppings -------------------------------
jalapeno (but no chillies which are hotter)
from the gourmet range
I have not named all the extra toppings as if you order from Domino's I am sure you will find out for yourself.
You can also do a half and half pizza.
There are 5 or 6 different crusts that you can have including thin, stuffed and decadence. It explains them all on the website.
I personally think Domino's is overpriced and over rated. I find the sauce on the pizza too sweet which is probably why my girls like it so much and they don't put enough cheese on. Sometimes even when I ask and get charged for extra there is hardly any on. I always choose a classic thin base and this is nice enough, it doesn't taste too salty like some do (I am led to believe it has a lot of salt in though, you can get them details off the website). It is light and floury. The cheese they use is mozzarella which surprises me that it doesn't taste too cheesey and it isn't really stringy.
I also think that when you have a topping (other than the cheese and tomato) that they should put a sprinkling of cheese over the topping as they just seem to be place there on top.
As well as pizza they do sides (not chips) like garlic bread which is the best, as it is nice and cheesey, wedges and chicken stuff (I am not going to list all). They also do a a few desserts ben and jerries being one.
At my local Domino's there is always offers on ie buy one get one free on Tuesdays, and meal deals etc. Even with the deals when we order it can be over £20 for a family of 4 depending what we order. The last order was just over £17 on a Tuesday where one pizza was free (only applies to medium and large). We ordered a large cheese and tomato, a medium with jalopeno's, peppers and blue cheese and a personal one with blue cheese. There was enough for us but my youngest always eats a lot more pizza if ordered from here.
Whenever we have ordered this online it is usually delivered in about 20 minutes and is still hot. I am told by someone that used to deliver that it is because they put something like a hot plate in the bag that they are packed in.
My eldest is having a friend to sleep on Friday and I have promised them a Domino's (and the youngest wants it). I won't be having it me and my husband may have a thin goodfellows and add our own stuff.
What happened to a nice tasting pizza which was about the toppings and taste? Over the years I've seen pizza's detoriate to the point you can pick off a topping easily. I've tried many domino's/pizza hut and have the same complaint. Bland/boring and all about the dough, and by god, its take a lot of dough to order a dominos.
You might as well just pick a lump of dough, dump 30p worth on veg/meat on it and cook it yourself. No matter how badly you do it will taste better than dominos. You might actually get some vitamins from it.
Why do people use dominos? I used local pizza companies in the past but have tried dominos when I had no choice and have never had a satisfying experience. Back to finding a local one or stick my cats tray on some bread, I'm sure it will be more nutricious and taste better.
Last point, tomato's, mushroom, and green peppers with a stuff crust and extra cheese for £20! I'd get it cheaper sitting in a pizza express restaurent and actually would find I couldn't count the toppings in 20 seconds.
God knows why anyone orders dominos. Try and do yourself a favour and find a local one which actually tries to keep you happy rather than another giant chain trying to rip you off.
Bye bye dominos for me - you won't be missed!
