Hi, I recently bought 2 Kingston 2 GB DDR3 RAM Sticks for my MacBook Pro. I originally had 2 GB and decided after a lack of performance, to upgrade to the max (4 GB). In a Few Works, It was worth the upgrad and I should have done it years and years ago!
Now, I can be burning a DVD at the same time as reading my emails and playing a podcast without one hiccup!! The main reason I decided to upgrade was because the night before, I had to prepare a Movie for the next day, my computer crashed twice in the same night. Finally, after the third try, my computer was able to burn a DVD without crashing and I was able to present my movie the next day as planned. Now, like I say, I can do a lot more with my laptop and it is much quicker.
I was able to install the Memory sticks in less than 30 minutes (I had never done it before) and I took my time and carefully vacuumed all the dust that was kicking around in my laptop. I simply removed the factory Memory sticks and securely clicked in the new Memory sticks, then started up my Laptop!
The Kingston Memory sticks are like 1/8 the price that Apple ® would charge. In my opinion, it's the same difference. For around 30 Pounds, I could not go wrong with this upgrade!
The Bottom Line:
I recommend this upgrade to any one who does intensive tasks on their computers and would like more performance and less crash prone moments. It's Definitely worth the upgrade!!
