      Not my kind of place....

My advice on this one would be stay away!! If you mention this place to most people from Newcastle you will get a look of disgust. Its really not a nice place. From stepping foot in the place you will be greeted by chavs. This is one place in Newcastle you can guarantee you will see trouble (or even worse get caugt up in it). I have lost count of the times I have seen bouncers throwing people out or a fight spilling out of the bar in the street as you walk past. If you like dance music then you may like it. The drinks are quite cheap too but I think thats pull people in and make up for the place being so awful. Its really not nice in my opinion and there are much better bars to go in Newcastle if you are looking for a lively place and a dance! Oh the postive. Its central Newcastle, and the centre of the Bigg Market... oh and there is a taxi rank just outside!!

Personally, I think this place hogs up the centre of the bigg market, one of the country's busiest drinking venues. Despite there is nothing in particular about this place which makes it scruffy, it somehow seems that way. This bar is excellently situated in the centre of Newcastle partying Bigg Market, you cannot miss it. It has two entrances, so you can even use it as a short cut to get from one side to the other. The bar prices are about average for Newcastle, with student night on a Monday. Music is predominantly on the dance side of pop, and, I believe, house music on Saturdays. There is no area for sitting, it is just a large dancing floor, and as such doesn't look great. There are no bells or whistles, just a simple floor, DJ stand, and a couple of bars. It does pull in some decent crowds, and is quite liberal on its special offers. On saturday nights it is worth a visit, but if you're into the harder side of dance and house try Liquid, which is across the road, is this is unparalleled. The DJs do play requests, though you might find on Saturdays that they don't have much that isn't dance. The lighting effects aren't brilliant, they're about standard, so if you want to listen to a top notch sound system and state of the art lighting, head across the road to Liquid. All in all, not bad when it's full, but could do with a few more features. Best only go here after about 9pm.
