Well personally I bought this as I wanted something different to and ipod, and I have to say its quite a good mp3 player especially if your looking for something that looks good and isn't really expensive. It is very easy to use although the lock on the side sometimes doesnt work although this could just be mine as its only happened over the last few months and ive had it over a year. I would say its good also if you have a habit of dropping mp3 players or there getting bashed around abit as some will break easily by being dropped but this has survived over a year and still works perfectly. One problem I have had is that to get the music to play to a decent level you need to turn the volume up quite high especially if there are people around as even when the volume is high they can drown out the sound. For ease of use and looks it is very good and the sound quality isnt bad if you dont like too much noise.
After my ipod nano broke, I decided to go for a cheaper option of replacement from the £100 ipod and I found this samsung mp3 with an exact same memory of 4 gb but costing around half the price.
It is actually a very good mp3 player, it looks brilliant, very stylish with cool blue lit touch pad, what I liked most about the mp3 player was infact the design. Not only that but it is very easy to use and of a good quality. The screen is very clear and you can watch videos and view pictures brilliantly, and alike to ipod you can also create playlists and it is very easy to scroll around to find the songs you want to play. The earphones are of a very good quality too, I found them to be better than the ipod earphones. The program that comes with the mp3, 'samsung media studio', works just like itunes and all the songs simply update themselves onto the player with an easy connection of the usb.
The only thing I did not like about the mp3 was it's battery length, I feel it didn't last aslong as it stated. It ran out on me after about 15 hours listening. lasting me 1-3 days at most, depending on how much I had used it. This is the only thing that I felt the ipod was much better for.
Overall it is a great mp3 player and in my opinion performs much better than the ipod nano does, only problem was the battery length but there may be individual buyers that do not use their mp3 players as much as I do and will not mind... I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
I recently recieved this player for christmas and i am very impressed with it. Not only does it look great its a super little player as well. But i'll start on the looks it looks great... the metal look and design of the buttons make it look futuristic. Its also reasonly small and so fits in your pocket nicely. It has a great user interface that turns on and lights up when you turn it on. Other features include a lock which is useful as i have on many ocassins turned it on when its be in my pocket and a radio which is always useful to have. Sound quality is suprisingly good, as good as the ipod i would say and the battery life is long lasting helpful for long journeys. All in all its a great player and i would highly recommend it. For a medium priced player its right up there in the top of the range. Its a must buy!
