Fifa comes to the playsation portable and is created by Ea Games as with all Fifa games. The cover of this version has Patrick Vierra on the front with Fifa soccer in bold black lettering. In the right bottom corner there is the ea logo and to the left of this the fifa logo and parental rating. Which is classified as E - for everyone.
Now the game itself includes 350 league teams from all over the world and divisions.
Not only this but there are a number of different game modes for you to play as well, featuring:
Exhibition - a quick game between two teams. Select your team and the computers and battle out however you feel.
Season - Take control of a club for a season.See how you get on throughout the games to get your team to the top of the division.
Tournament - Select from many tournaments played throughout the world, such as the carling cup, Fa cup and European titles as well to become the champions!
Challenges - choose from the menu a challenge to complete, or make your own. Locked challenges can be opened when you complete the previous ones.
Wireless game play is also given new heights with the psp's adhoc mode. Play against a friend wirelessly.
The game also includes Ea's pocket trax, here you can see music videos with the built in music visualisation player. Havent really used this so don't know what its about.
The games graphics are quite good considering this is one of the first psp football games available with licensed clubs and stadiums. Shirts area accurate along with player names too. You will notice that unless you pick a premiership club or equivalent from around the world that your players look nothing like them in real life. Only the big clubs get decent rendering.
The buttons are also easy to use and understand. The layout for attacking and defending are good. It may take a little while to get used to using the analogue stick but when you do it's a great fun game to play. The exhibition games can be made so you can easily pick up your psp play a game then put it down again. Which is a great advantage to this game.
Overall I would say this is a great game for the psp, football on a compact scale. But runs on the same scale as the counterparts on the ps3 and xbox systems.
I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys playing football games. It's a fast game which looks good and has been tailored to the pick up and play genre of the psp
The game for me gets a full 5 star rating.
Its a great game and has all the teams league and cups you would expect to have on the playstation or any other home bound computer.
The graphics are fantasic and are very simlier if not the same as what you get on the ps2. All free kicks and skills are played the same way as you would play on your playstation.
If you like playing fifa games at home this handheld game is defo for you. Its just like you would normaly play except you can play it where ever you want to.
Has to be the best hand held football game i have ever played. Wasnt expecting all the extras you normaly get on the home system.
All players also have real names aswell as it bugs me when you are manchester red for example playing up front with roonie.
Get closer to the action than ever before by mastering the skills required to play like a real professional football player in FIFA 08. It's in the game!!
