After liking Resistance Fall of Man so much I thought that this looked to be really good. I actually got it for just £10 in HMV and so it was a really good deal. The game was released in November 2007 and so has been outu for a while now. The game is a standard first person shooter and I found it to be action packed throughout.
The game really is great fun and the graphics running at a maximum of 720p really do make the aliens seem more realistic. If you have tried Resistance before and liked it I would recommend this because they are similar in many ways. The plot line is easy to follow and is based on the famous Alien infected, top secret zone that is Area 51. Many good games have been made about Area 51 in the past and this is too.
I really like the controls of the game and how easy it is to control your character and the way in which you can command your squad members. It allows you tell your squad to do a variety of complicated tasks with just one button! I love the way that you can also drive military vehicles in this game and take he gunner position in a helicopter.
If you like your action pact games then this is for you because it seems to be non-stop. There is only six weapons available in the game and the main gun is the M4 carbine which really does feature well in the game. I found the limited weapon selecction to be a down side to the game but it does very well in other criteria.
The multiplayer mode is also fantastic and features all of the common games such as team deathmatch and deathmatch etc. You can play for either side of the races which was really quite a cool feature. There is a maximum of only 10 players but it is still very fun and the maps really are very good also. I hope this was useful and thank you very much for reading this!
Following on the heels of the arcade and console shooter sensations, BlackSite: Area 51 is an action packed, first person shooter experience which pits gamers against alien enemy forces using the infamous U.S. government landmark, Area 51, and the surrounding areas as the battlefield backdrop. Set in present day, players take the role of a decorated military veteran charged by the government to lead a squadron of "secret soldiers," each with his/her own specialty skill set, into the Rachel, Nevada area to fight off the invasion of unidentified enemy races. The player's modern-day emotions and fears are driven into a world charged with grave responsibility affecting lives hanging in the balance and eventually finding himself torn between his professional orders and his own ethical standards. In the end, only the actions of the player and his squad can shape the outcome of BlackSite: Area 51 during this potentially pivotal moment in history.
