This is possibly going to be a bit of a weird situation a woman reviewing a condom but after 8 years of marriage i think i know my hubbies private parts a lot better than he does.
After deciding that two children for the time being is definately enough we had to think about birth controll, i have tryed the contraceptive injection with horendus side effects and not had much look with the contraceptive pill either so decided condoms were the way to go for us.
Over the last 3 years we have tryed a wide variety of different brands and different makes but kept finding the same problems, they are all very thick which for me was not a problem at all but for hubby it took a lot of the sensation away so we were looking for something thinner and found these, they are a lot thinner than most condoms but that doesnt mean that they will split easier, we havent had any dsasters with them so far and have been using them for some months now, Another added bonus with these condoms is that they are a little larger than the ordinary condoms making them a lot more comfortable for my hubby, dont get me wrong he isnt hung like a donkey or anything but just seems to have a little more width than most condoms will accomodate comfortably.
These condoms are a little bit more expensive than others but are definately worth the extra money to make it more enjoyable.
To be honest, I've never been the biggest fan of condoms, I've always felt they take way too much sensitivity. However we all know how important it is to cover yourself with one of these latex sheaths when you make love, and I'm so glad I've found the Durex Comfort condom.
I've always found other bags to be too thick, or to get snagged up, fall off, or snap during combat. No such problems with these super strong condoms.
From the moment he rolls it over his member, you know you are in for a comfy ride. It reminded me of the sensation of buckling up my seatbelt behind the wheel of a high performance sports car. As the thin comfortable bag rolled effortlessly over the shaft, he almost forgot he was wearing one. They really are that good, an absolute minimal lack of sensation. It really makes for a more enjoyable love making session, as you can relax knowing that you can feel every pump.
I have used several of the other normal type of durex condom before. All of which have been ok but I always find them a bit too tight on me. The main problem with the other condoms I have used is putting them on - trying 2 stretch them over you cos they just dont roll down like they say they do. This takes time & is not sexy & the stretching can weaken the condom so that it may break later on. The durex comfort are bigger in both dimensions (but only by a little bit) & do fit better. This means they are not as tight & they almost roll down like they say they should do - however you still need to pull @ them - but I can put these on much better than the others I have tried. I found these to b a great fit as they are not too tight but not too loose - they stay on & do the job. There are no extras with these condoms they just do the job - & I think have less chance of splitting due to the extra size. I think that durex should make a condom of this size with an oversized tip or somthing for extra sensation for me cos all normal condoms take away the friction for the man. The lady likes this as much as any other condom I've used. She says that its best without - but @ the end of the day u gotta b safe & this is the best one we have used so far - however am still tempted to try out some of the other types of larger condoms - its a shame there are not many. I think they should do all the types of condoms in a small, medium or large to keep everyone happy.
Well, reading some of the other opinions on the site I was led to believe this condom was more comfortable than driving a Mercedes Benz.... well. Let's see how it holds up under the scrutiny of the condom king. THE LOOK: It's pink and rubbery. Ok, so I am stating the obvious but these things really look no different straight out of the packet, just a rolled up piece of Latex. THE SMELL: Guess what, they smell of latex too! You'll all be glad to hear that they come without those horrible goo's all over them, so unless you go in for a close sniff you should survive without suffering 'the limping effect'. For those who are unaware, this is the effect of getting a whiff of some horrible condom just prior to sex, doesn't do the old performance any good. THE TASTE: Yes ladies and gentleman, I may have been over 2 days without a condom op but I still know how its done :) This one actually tasted rather nice.... yeah right. It's the usual Latex, so dont blame me if you go and try it for yourselves. I would recommend you wait until after intercourse though, andof course use a fresh condom! Urgh! All in all though, its not too bad and my girlfriend happily pointed out that it doesnt remain on the penis after sex, so a little oral action may be allowed. What more can I say really. THE SAFETY: This is a Durex condom, so you can expect all the normal durex safety precautions have been taken. You'll also see all those comforting kite marks down the side fo the box and so you should be able to relax. The thing with these condoms is that they are actually larger (for comfort, as the title suggests) in both length and width, so beware to ensure you get the right size for you otherwise slippage may occur, and as many men will already know, a word beginning with s and ending in 'age' is always one to avoid! It does have a spermicide on it for extra protectio
n against pregnancy, but remember to check the date on the condom! If its out of date, then it may as well be useless! CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE: For many novice condom users, they just go into a shop and buy a pack. If you do this then you are likely to struggle to get the correct fit (although you may be lucky). If you have done this in the past and found the condoms to be too tight then these are for you. They are looser around the shaft as they have more width, and they are also slightly longer to allow for extra penis length. If previous condoms have been too tight (in terms of width) then these should be tried. Don't worry if your penis isnt the longest though, that doesnt make too much difference as the condom will still hold (if its any good that is). For those of us who have more time to check through the condoms there is another option. You can avoid forking out the extortionate amount of money these charge and just ensure you get the right size in the first place. Believe it or not, condoms are not sized for penis length, more for penis width. If a condom can hold a penis of 12" then it can easily hold one of 6" and because it is still unravelled at the bottom of the shaft, it should hold in place during intercourse. What wont work is if you get one that doesnt fir width wise. If it is too tight you can cut off the blood to the penis (and lose your erection at least, at worst you may do far more serious damage) and at the other end of the scale you have a condom that slips off during intercourse, never a good thing. Choose wisely. THE LIGHT TEST: Finally we get onto the light test. I am well aware that some of my readers have yet ot experience the light test and so a little time to explain it is needed, if you know what it is, please avoid the next paragraph. The Light Test is a simple test that should be done prior to intercourse. You should remove the condom from the packet
and WITHOUT unrolling it, hold it in direct line of light. You should be at least 1metre away from the light when you do this, to avoid the heat damaging the condom. What you are looking for are any small holes that may not be seen normally. It's rare to find any problems, its just another good safety check. This particular condom fared rather well. It was easy to see the condom against the light, no reflecting liquids all over it and no problems of overhanging edges or obscuring ribs. Out of 4 condoms (I usually do 5 but these are just too expensive) there were no abnormalities. THE APPLICATION: This condom is designed for those members of the male gender who have a large penis in regards width. For that reason, if you have a wide penis then this condom should slide on far easier then many others. It rolls a little easier too. As you place it above the shaft, just make sure the centre of the penis head is lined up perfectly with the centre of the condoms. Unlike other varieties, if you misalign this one, it will simply stretch and not pull it back into place as you roll. Overall though, an easy manouvre. I was impressed. THE MALE SENSATION: Well, here's the important part. To me it wasnt that bad actually. I managed to orgasm while still wearing the condom and recieved enough sensation to do so without too much trouble. The lack of extra lubrication on the condom was also a godsend, all these lubricants made my lobve making a nightmare for a while. THE FEMALE SENSATION: She was impressed but commented that there isnt any extra sensation. By that she is referring to the ribs on Durex ribbed condoms and those 'studs' we have both fallen in love with on the rough rider condoms. Overall it was average and did create an orgasm (or two ;-)) but wasnt anything special. THE PRICE: I've seen these sold at £4 for 2. A very pricey condom indeed. More econom
ically friendly are the 12 packs which I bought from my ever helpful chemist for £16.99. They are more expensive but then you are using more latex. It's up to you to decide if they are worth the extra cost. Unless you are having real 'fitting' problems with your current condom I would say no. OVERALL: Overall this very pricey condom is worth it only if all others have proven too tight. Most people don't need to spend this sort of money to have good sex and most would actually worsen the experience using these. For those like me who have a wider shaft though, they are rather nice to wear during intercourse and release a lot more blood to the penis. I still value my girlfriend too much to go on using them though, so Rough Rider condoms remain our number 1 choice.
Sorry about the title, but it's true. I logged onto a certian Durex-related website, and found that they had a tendency to offer free comfort condoms on a Thursday. "Hmmm" I said to myself, and quickly filled in my details. 3 days later, I received, in a plain brown envelope, a pack of 3 "durex comfort" condoms. Fantastic. I would say, from a woman's point of view, that they are absolutely fine, although, using condoms as my only method of birth control, these ones not being spermicidally lubricated was a slight worry, but still OK. My boyfriend is always complaining that "normal" condoms are a little tight (ooh err), and he found these to be perfectly confortable, also allowing a decent amount of feeling for both parties. Added to this....they don't smell and they don't feel like Tesco carrier bags (like other brands can) either. I can't speak for those who are unfortunate to have sensitive skin, al I can say is that they didn't irritate me! Reliability-wise, I would say that they are good. Never had a problem with them. Sorry to all those people who've commented that the URL would have been useful, I didn't add it because I thought it'd be tantamount to advertising which would be naughty...so here you go... go to www.durex.co.uk, and click on "free sample" from the left hand menu bar, and away you go.
I don't know about anyone else, but I have always found condoms a bit on the snug side. Its like wearing shoes a size to small, uncomfortable, restrictive and cramp your style. Lets be honest, in the throes of passion, the last thing you want to do is keep stopping and checking if the damned things come off. The most embarassing part is trying to retrieve it after its come off, know what I mean? What a god send these things are! Wider fitting and longer to they actually fit in both directions! Hurrah! They make the whole experience so much more enjoyable. You feel relaxed, fitting is a breeze and takes seconds instead of passion killing minutes, no worry of sticking a finger nail through it either. Your partner can relax instead of having to stop and asking you if everything is where it should be. All in all a much more pleasurable experience for both of you. Cost a bit more, but who can put a price on safety???
i think this product great because it is not as tight as the normal condoms and during sex it's as if it is'nt there . i use this product because it is the most comfortable to use and my girlfriend likes it too. compared to other products it is one of the best i've ever had. i really recommend this to anyone who likes the comfortable sensation during sex. i have used it on several experiances with my girl friend and we both enjoy it's feel. it fits well on the pork sword and has a discret colour. it is good value for money so it can be a bit pricy when you buy it but it's worth the extra cost because it is just so comfortable during use.
