      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A good game with all the authenticity but a bit lacking in gameplay.

This is an officially licensed cricket game created by Ea Sports and has all the international teams licensed with the stadiums as well. This is one of the main benefits with Ea where you get the authenticity of the sport with all the real player names and kits and stadiums.

The game itself is quite enjoyable although the controls are not the greatest and msot reliastic but it is though a fun game and you can enjoy it.

Ability to play both short 10 over games or longer games. It gives the player ability to control both the batting and bowling aspects of the game with a wide range of bowling options when delivering the ball. Also with the batting there is a number of shots on offer and it is quite imprtant to get the timing right although with the controls it can be a bit hit and miss with no real precise technique.

A good game with all the authenticity but a bit lacking in gameplay.

      Disadvantages

A realistic game, but is not always fun to play.

Cricket 07 is an authentic cricket experience. It has a great deal of realism, every detail is designed to be as close to the real game as possible. This is a good feature but the game does sometimes lack the 'fun aspect', which you can find on the Brian Lara games.

There are many different modes to select from; ashes scenarios, tournaments, exhibition, create your own player etc. So the options on cricket 07 are fantastic, there is plenty to do on it.
The create a player mode is good too. There are many different possibilities for your player, so you can make him look very real. Once you have created them, you can put them into a team and use them in your cricket matches. You can even create your own team (if you have the time) and play with them.

The game is very realistic, as i noted before. Many of the player names are on the game, englands are all there for example. It is also quite easy to change player names if you want to correct some of the false names which EA does not own the copyright for. Most of the players all look authentic too, flintoff looking particularily realistic as youd expect, and although many of the players dont look quite right, they are much more realistic than Brian Lara.

The graphics are impressive and the gameplay is decent. Batting, as the previous review said is very good. You can choose from 3 different camera angles. When batting it feels reasonably realistic as you have to get your timing right or you may edge it to the keeper. Bowling on the other hand is too realistic. It is a real challenge to take wickets and takes a lot of patience. I personally simulate bowling as i become too frustrated trying to get the computer out. Fielding is good, but the only downfall is that catches are taken automatically, and we all know that catches in cricket are not that simple.

The game is a challenge. Unlike Brian Lara, the computer opponent is not too easy to beat. They can adjust their batting style and field appropriately. This is good, as many cricket games fail to get the balance right and it is often too easy. But this game provides a nice balance.

This is a good game, for the cricket lover. I wouldnt necessarily recommend it to anyone else, as it is not particularily fun and quite long winded. If youre looking for a realistic cricket game this is a good one to pick up for cheap.

      An ideal cricketing game

I think that this product is very good, it allows you to all of the domestic comptetions and international ones. It however doesnt have the lastest cricket tournament which is the pro40, as it was introduced before it was brought into existence. It does however have a Ashes Special when you can relive some of the exicting moments of the ashes series, you can do some Australian Scenario's as well. The bowling is realistic, but in my opinion the batting is what makes the game stand out. You also can customise the fielding positions and you can play as the fielders and choose which end that you throw to.

You can make up a player as well and add him to any of the counties or countries. It should work on most computer systems as it hasnt got high game requirements. I would reccomend this game to any cricket lovers as i throughlu enjoyed it
