Somebody gave me the little tykes junior slide as a present for my toddler, who was a bit wary of it to begin with but now has fun sliding down it backwards, upside down, head first..you name it! I was surprised by the size of it, its not too big and is the perfect height for toddlers.my sister has the larger one for older children which is alot bigger and higher so i think the junior is the perfect height for its age group. Its a suitable size to have indoors aswell as ive found on wet or cold days when my sons been dying to play with it. Its not heavy at all and easy to move around. It has 2 chunky steps to climb up and then the platform at the top of the slide so its suitable for little ones to climb themselves and its study so ive never had a problem with it tipping over or moving around as he plays. overall, i think its a great toy to have in the garden, or even indoors and defiantely suited for toddlers.
My little girl received the Little Tikes Junior Slide as a present for her first birthday after trying and testing out the same model at her Mother and Toddlers Group. She absolutely loves the slide, it is the perfect size for a toddler, probably best suited for children aged one to three. The slide is strong, sturdy and attractively bright in primary colours. The steps are a good size for little feet and chunky enough to give a good grip. It is steady enough for the rough and tumble of a small child (or several small children as ours was subjected to on its first outing at the birthday party) but is still easy enough to move around the garden (to prevent yellow patches forming on the lawn!). We haven't had any difficulties with it tipping over. The slide also comes with a "landing mat" as a safety feature. It could also be used indoors in bad weather if you've enough room. Our little girl spends lots of time playing outdoors on her slide and other toys which we hope will continue as the fresh air and exercise is great for her and means she tires herself out nicely by bedtime! In conclusion, I would say this is a high quality, competitively priced slide which will provide hours of fun for a toddler.
This is a good sturdy little slide. It has smooth molded plastic steps and a slide with slightly raised sides to prevent the little slider from going over the edge instead of downwards. It manges to be quite light weight as well as being sturdy so it is easy to move around the garden and can be used inside too if you have room. It is quite small so it is really only suitable for children up to around 2 years old or so as older children could find it a bit boring and look for more height as they get more confident. The small size of the slide is also likely to mean that older children simply won't fit on it anymore. For young children though the low steps are ideal as they learn to climb and slide by themselves as it gives them some independence but without too much risk. As a downside though ours has faded a bit after being left outside throughout the year.
