      A cute umbrella for kids

My son was absolutely obsessed with the movie Cars when it first came out. He just had to have everything cars related and Disney must have known they were on to a cash cow as the film spawned a whole host of Cars branded products. It got to the stage where we couldn't enter a shop without there being something else that he wanted that had the characters on it. The amount of things with Cars on them got even worse after the release of the second film. The umbrella was released after the second movie and is really cute. It is made from nylon which keeps it waterproof and is made up of 8 different panels. Four of the panels are plain black and four of them have pictures of the characters Lightening McQueen and Finn McMissle. Lightening McQueen is his favourite character so when my son saw this he had to have it. As it wasn't as expensive as some of the other Cars stuff and it also had a practical use I didn't mind getting it for him. It cost me £7.99 which is expensive for a kids umbrella but isn't so expensive that it feels as though you are being cheated just for something that has a picture of a cartoon car on it. The umbrella itself is good enough quality and all seems well put together and not in any fear of coming apart. My son used this loads during the winter so it did suffer some abuse but it hasn't tore or ripped so far. It is also really easy to use and even smaller kids should have no trouble with it. It just slides up and down so there should be no fear of little hands getting caught in it. It also kept my son dry most of the time and is a good size and shape for repelling rain and keeping him dry with the frame being strong enough to handle a light wind. At the end of the day buying this depends on what you want it for. You can go to pound land and buy a kids umbrella but if they are big fans of the film they will appreciate the umbrella and you can be assured that you are purchasing something that is durable and good quality.

A good umbrella for little Cars 2 fans

My little boy is a massive Cars fan, so when I saw this Cars 2 umbrella just before Christmas, I thought it would make a fabulous stocking filler. The umbrella is made of a soft fabric which of course is water proof. I much prefer fabric umbrellas to that thick plastic some childrens are made of, they always seem to get splits in. The design of the umbrella is divided into eight sections, four of them are plain black and the other four have the characters on. They are all the same design. Lightning Mcqueen at the bottom and The smooth Finn McMissle at the top, it is on a background of a checkered racing flag. It is a cute design and features two of the main Cars 2 stars. The umbrella is really easy to open and close, there is a little ridge by the handle and you either push it up to open the umbrella or pull it down to close it. It has a "pinch free" design to stop little fingers being trapped. My seven year old son could open and close it with ease. As could my two year old niece who seem to love it more than my son. The handle is a crooked type so it is easy for little hands to hold and great for hanging up on pegs, buggy handles or coat stands. Although not so great for fitting in handbags. My son really likes his brolly, we have used it a few mornings on the way to school and he loves having his own umbrella, and was really proud showing all his friends. I bought this umbrella from Early Learning Centre. It cost £8.99 which I feel for a childs umbrella is a little on the steep side, although I had a 20% off voucher so it made it more affordable.
