“ Brand: ELC / Type: Outdoor Play Equipment „
Last year my family went to Alton Towers splash landings as a treat for my sister's 30th birthday. My little niece came as well as my mum, dad and boyfriend. It was really good fun and the swimming pool there is excellent. We bought the beach ball to take away with us so we could play in the pool and have some fun. My niece loved it and enjoyed playing with it. ==Price and availability== The beach ball is available at the Early Learning Centre and costs £3.00, you can pick it up as part of a three for two promotions so it works out better value. ==Description== The beach ball is made from thin plastic, it has six sections with a circle in the middle. Six of the sections are decorated with a whale and the rest are plain red. There is a little stopper in the middle that allows you to blow the ball up and it deflates into a very small size so it is perfect for taking on holiday as it will fold very flat in your suitcase. The stopped pushes all the way inside the ball so there are no rough protruding sections. You can comfortably blow the ball up by mouth which is easier said than done when you have a child bouncing round in front of you asking you to hurry up! To deflate the ball you need to squeeze the nozzle between your fingers, this is good as it means if the stopper comes out on its own, the air does not come out. The ball is made from thin plastic so I would be wary of kicking it too hard or mistreating it as i'm sure it will not last too long. ==Experiences== The ball is perfect for the pool and perfect for little arms to throw it around. My niece played with it by herself for long periods of time, trying to sit on it under the water and hold it under; as it came up to the surface and splashed her mum, this amused her even more! I enjoyed throwing and catching the ball and the good thing about it is that you cannot throw it too far. At splash landings there is no wind as it is indoors so with arm power alone you cannot send it too far so you are not forever chasing it around. The design is good and fun; it's a nice red ball with a whale one. If you get a puncture you can buy inflatable puncture repair kits so hopefully we can prolong its life expectancy, but on the whole it seems quite a good piece and for three pounds I do not think you can complain. ==Overall== This is great for children and adults alike, playing throw and catch on holiday passes time and it is fun. The size makes it easy to catch and it will not hurt if you get hit with it.
