      ELC UV sun tent

We actually bought this tent a few years ago when my little girl was just a baby. We took a holiday to California to go and visit my family and we went in August in the height of summer. I knew we would be hanging out by the pool and on the beach a lot and I didn't want to not enjoy that and have to stay inside all the time because I was looking after my little girl so I came up with the great idea of getting a tent that she could sit in whilst we were in the sun.

This tent from The Early Learning Centre worked out perfectly. The tent comes in a round nylon bag that zips up and as soon as you pull it out it pops up and is set up immediately, no having to mess with poles or sticks or things like that. It has bendy wires inside it that pop into shape after you pull it out of the bag so its very handy. However, thats where my problem with this tent begins. I cannot for the life of me get it back into the bag. You have to bend it a particular way and it definitely makes sense and does go that way but you need to sort of hold it in your hands and bend it together and it should just fold but for me it doesn't. My husband can do it in a flash so if you understand it its easy, you just need to know how to do it in the first place. However, this is my only problem with the tent and as long as you have someone around who can do it its fine.

The tent is not too high, you cannot stand in it as an adult but you can sit in it just about but then its designed for small people so its perfect for them. I would say that probably 2 or three toddlers could sit in here comfortably but no more than that. The tent is green and yellow and bright so its nice and bright inside and quite airy. There is a window on one side so its nice and airy when you sit in there and not stuffy like some tents can be. At the front there is a little flap that sits out the front so you can have it down or zip up the tent too.

The best part about it though is that it provides  factor 50+ UV protection from the sun's rays. I still covered my little girl with suntan lotion but knowing that this provided her protection and she could still wiggle and move around was great. She liked being in it and we had a lovely time sitting right next to her on the beach. The tent has four pegs that you peg in to the tent each side as there are little tags to attach it to. I found actually what worked better not he beach was just putting some big heavy bags at the side to weigh it down but on grass the pegs are really handy.

This ten is not too big and folds down into the bag really small so its very easy to pack in a suitcase to take away with you or put in your car for a day out. The dimensions are given as Height: 79 cmWidth: 84 cmDepth: 84 cm. There are some many places you can use this tent. We now just put it in the garden and have it as a place tent for our dollies but I'm sure when we go away next to find some sun we can use it there too. I think this cost something in the £20 and is definitely worth it to shade your little ones from the sun.
