Handy two-in-one toothpaste and mouth wash which comes in a bottle, for one single and usable product. More like a gel than a toothpaste. A good time saver for home and for holidays.

      A good daily toothpaste

I have recently been on a bit of a budget trying to save money to do work on my house so instead of going to boots for my toiletries my mother convinced me to go with her to poundland to buy the basics. I've never really been into the poundland before and just assumed everything in it was useless tat but I was really very surprised by the amount of good quality things I could buy for the house. I ended up leaving the shop with nearly all my household basics such as shampoo, shower gel etc and am now a fan. One of the things I bought was theramed 2in1 toothpaste. There was a few different kinds available and I bought 2 bottles one being a whitening and one being a fresh mint flavour. The 2in1 part of the toothpaste is that theramed is actually a toothpaste with an included anti bacterial mouthwash. The toothpaste does not come in a tube like traditional toothpaste but rather in a bottle that looks like a shrunk down shampoo bottle. There is also no screw on lid for you to loose either rather there is a flip top. The bottle sits upright and I find it much less messy than traditional toothpaste. Other than the bottle the main difference between theramed and traditional toothpaste is the consistency. The first time I used theramed I was expecting it to be like normal toothpaste but it is more like a liquid and when I squeezed it onto my toothbrush I got it all over my sink. It is very runny which is not exactly appealing for a toothpaste but it doesn't stop it' effectiveness. A little bit of theramed with a little bit of water really managed to foam up well and the taste was quite nice. I'm not overly keen on mint but this was quite mild and didn't really overpower my mouth like some other toothpaste has done and it tasted very sweet. Afterwards my teeth felt really clean and I was impressed with how fresh my mouth felt. I am a smoker and although theramed didn't keep me fresh smelling all day I felt it performed as well if not better than other toothpastes. The bottles came in 75ml sizes and I honestly think that for a pound this represents really good value and is such a good product and size for travelling or the gym etc but it is equally practical as a daily toothpaste for the entire family.

a nice tooth paste shame about there being no whitening

I spotted this on Amazon a few months back whilst browsing through their toiletries section and decided to give it a try. What first appealed to me was the fact that this is a 2 in 1 toothpaste which cleanse your teeth as a normal tooth paste would but also acts as a mouth wash too which I thought was great for use with my daughters as it is suitable for children as well as adults and it would save me having to buy two lots of toothpaste and mouthwash and make the hassle of getting my children to clean there teeth a lot easier in the mornings. I love the design of the bottle as it is unlike any other toothpaste I have ever brought as my usual tooth pastes come in a tube, this is good as you have more control over how much you get out and is great for travelling with as it doesn't get squashed. It is more expensive than the normal toothpaste I would buy at £2.29 but once you add up the saving of having to buy two toothpastes and a mouthwash I bet I am saving in the end. It has a nice cool taste to the toothpaste that isn't too strong or over powering, I am not a fan of mint but this is very nice compared to other toothpastes even my children don't mind using it. It claims to clean even the hard to reach areas which is good as I struggle to get to the back of my wisdom teeth and haven't had any problems with cavities so it must be doing its job. It protects against all the usual things that tooth pastes do but my only dislike is that it doesn't have whitening in it which is something I usually look for in a tooth paste with me being a smoker but other than this it is very good.

A handy toothpaste and mouthwash combined in a gel.

TheraMed 2 in 1 is a combined toothpaste and mouthwash, so I find it to be a handy product to have in the house and on my travels as it's a good time saver. A 75ml bottle of the gel normally costs around 90p, and can be bought from supermarkets and chemists alike. I have the Cool Mint variety which is a dark blue gel and which comes in a small plastic see through bottle with a flip top lid. To use, all you do is squeeze a small amount (I usually do double pea size, pea sized isn't enough I think!) onto your toothbrush, give it a quick douse under the tap to wet the brush, and start brushing your teeth as normal. The TheraMed gel Cool Mint version tastes very strongly minty which I really like as it makes my teeth feel refreshed and squeaky clean. The breath freshening properties is meant to last around 12 hours, but I can't really notice the minty taste in my mouth for longer than 3 hours - I suppose that doesn't mean it's not helping my breath though! The gel is said to give teeth a long lasting protection against cavities, plaque and tartar, and in the 6 months I've been using this product, my teeth have felt cleaner and in better condition. When travelling, it's much easier to take this product rather than a seperate mouthwaste and toothpaste tube, so I find it's useful to have, and gives my teeth all the protection they need. At 90p, I feel this is also quite good value, so I can recommend this product to those who want clean teeth and fresh breath without the bother of seperate products.

Wicked Toothpaste But You Might Still Have To Use A Seperate Mouthwash!

I've always been mad about keeping my teeth clean, I brush my teeth at least 3 times a day and sometimes more than that. I usually stick to Colgate toothpaste but just lately the chemist by me has had Theramed 2-in-1 Toothpaste on special offer so I've been buying that instead. There are 3 different sorts available and they are the blue Cool Mint, green Fresh Mint and white Whitening toothpastes. I've only used the Cool Mint version and have been mega impressed with it and even when it comes off special offer I'll carry on buying it because I don't think £2.10 is all that expensive for a 75ml bottle and when you think that it's a toothpaste AND mouthwash for that price then it's not bad at all. The only bad thing about Theramed is that it's quite a runny toothpaste, it doesn't come out of the bottle in a thick line like most toothpastes and you have to make sure you're ready to start brushing straight away or it will end up dripping off your brush into the sink! It's easy to clean your teeth with Theramed and even though the toothpaste doesn't foam up as much as Colgate my teeth feel mega clean and fresh after brushing. I always brush my teeth for at least 4 mins and after that time my teeth feel and look very shiny, because of Theramed being quite liquid it helps the toothpaste to get into all the gaps and crevices in my mouth and that means that my teeth and gums are getting a brill all over clean. I can feel just by running my tongue across my teeth that it's done a brill job of cleaning them and my mouth and breath feels fresh for AGES after I have brushed my teeth. I don't think the mouthwash part of the toothpaste is all that good and I usually have a rinse of my own mouthwash after brushing my teeth. Even though the toothpaste is refreshing and makes my mouth and breath feel clean and fresh, the mouthwash part of it isn't very strong and you can't really tell it's there. I think it's a subconcious thing though because I like to KNOW I've had a capful of mouthwash and feel the burn of it in my mouth and I reckon that's why just using Theramed doesn't feel right. A 75ml bottle lasts for ages, there's only me in the house that uses this toothpaste and so far this bottle has lasted for well over 2 weeks and theres still a good bit in there. Now it's coming to the bottom of the bottle it's getting a bit hard to get the toothpaste out but it's fine if I make sure I stand it upside down so that all the toothpaste goes to the right end for getting it out easier. Recommended!!!

        A really good product

TheraMed 2 in 1 is such a handy dental health care item for travel and holidays. Its a 2 in 1 toothpaste and mouthwash combined into one single and very useable product. The thing I like about it is that it can be taken with you when you go away, instead of having to pack both a toothpaste and a mouthwash product. I think that its a great space and time saving idea for a dental product and its my first choice for taking in a travel situation because of that. ********************************************************** I have tried most of the TheraMed 2 in 1's, including the Cool Mint variety which is a deep blue gel and is very minty and cooling at the same time. Then there is the green coloured Fresh Mint which is also very refreshing but the Cool Mint to me has a bit of an edge. Both seem non abrasive when in use. I really like the TheraMed 2 in 1 Whitening variety and think this is my favorite, as whilst it doesn't give you that fake Hollywood smile, it does give your teeth a whiter brighter look for sometime after you have used it, whilst still freshening your breath like the other two varieties. It is a creamier texture when you use it rather than the thick gel feel of the Cool and Fresh varieties too. ********************************************************** TheraMed 2 in 1 comes in a small squeezable bottle, which is clear plastic allowing you to see the product within. It has a handy and easy to open blue flip top tab on a white plastic lid. I find that you do need a little more than just a pea sized amount of TheraMed to get the best results. So try to aim for larger than a pea sized dollop, but smaller than a broad bean sized amount and you should be ok. I tend to give the bottle a generous squeeze and then like to have the gel sitting all over the top of my toothbrush. Now I am not saying this is 100% necessary as I have used less at times and its worked very well, but as I am a self confessed mint addict I do like to get just a little bit of an extra minty kick when I clean my teeth. ********************************************************** TheraMed is really good as it has antibacterial qualities and leaves your teeth nice and clean with no residue. The minty freshness is really good and its claimed that TheraMed will give you up to 12 hours of fresh minty breath. I can't say that it lasts for that long and I do tend to clean my teeth quite frequently throughout the day, so cannot fully comment on that aspect. TheraMed has a good fluoride based formula , which can help to give your teeth long lasting protection against, dental cavities, plaque and tartar. It can also stop you suffering gum problems if used correctly. Our dental hygienist recommended to us to use toothpaste and mouth wash separately during the day, but then just go with a toothpaste on its own or a 2 in 1 at nght. ********************************************************** The reason for not using a stand alone mouth wash after brushing at night is that it will remove the protective qualities of the fluoride in the toothpaste. So best practice is to clean your teeth and then rinse lightly. Then add a further small blob of toothpaste or TheraMed 2 in 1 to your brush, have a quick brush around and then leave this un-rinsed. This may sound yucky, but she 100% assured me that by doing this at night time it can help the teeth greatly and stave off gum problems by leaving the fluoride based residue in place around the teeth. Since advised to do that I have stuck to that routine and it has helped with tooth sensitivity really well. ********************************************************** I really would recommend TheraMed 2 in 1 as a super travel product for your teeth but it can also be used every day as part of your daily routine. Its often on offer in some of the cheaper chemists like Superdrug and I usually mange to find it for £1 or so per bottle which to me is great value. I am rating TheraMed 2 in 1 as a 5 star product as its so handy for those times when you don't have room for both products or for times when you are in a hurry and just need to cut and run.

          DO NOT BUY

Theramed is a whitening toothpaste that boldly claims to give you whiter teeth within ten days of using it. This is what attracted my attention, and in the end made me buy it above all of the other brands of toothpaste that were on display. It also claims that it is two in one, so you do not need the use of any mouthwash, which for me, was another great bonus. Before I started using this, I generally would have bought one of the colgate products as I know that they are reliable, and I know that I am going to get at the very least, fresh breath. With theramed, the attractive design of the bottle leads you to believe that it can be trusted to do what it says on the bottle. Unfortunately, I have had a very bad experience using this toothpaste. When I first opened the bottle, I could tell straight away that it wasn't going to leave with a fresh taste in my mouth, as it didn't really smell minty at all. At the time I thought it might just be the fact that I was gettinga c old or something, so I put it in my mouth, and realised that it wasn't me. The taste is just about recognisable as mint, but it is so mild that I wouldn't blame anyone for suggesting that it was something else. As for the claim that ot gives you whiter teeth in just ten days, what can I say apart from ther word 'LIE'. I have been using this toothpaste for over ten days now, in fact, I have been using it for three weeks, and I have not seen a great improvement in them. Although my teeth do seem ever so slightly cleaner. When I first put this on my toothbrush, I was a little surprised as I was expecting, as most people would, a gel or thick mixture to come out of the bottle, but instead it was a kind of runny liquid, that made it quite difficult to estimate how much to put on, as it came out quite quickly so you often put too much on, and ended up wasting half of the bottle in the sink. The design of the bottle also makes it difficult to get the liquid out of it, especially when you get to the last little bit at the bottom of the bottle. You end up having to tip it upside down for the majority of the day so you know that there is going to be something there when you get to doing your teeth. It is a 75ml bottle, so it does last a relatively long time considering it's contents. I bought this in boots for £1.99. This is, I think, too much for what the product is. In a nutshell, all it is is a white liquid with a slight taste of mint that doesn't necessarily improve or not improve your teeth. Not a good but and I defiantely would not buy it again, even if itwas on offer!

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

A great product at a great price :-)

I do suffer with my teeth and gums. Whilst I know that all the sweeties I have eaten over the years have probably not helped my dental hygiene, I do suffer from mouth problems such as ulcerations and the like which are caused by my health problems. This, coupled with extremely sensitive gums and teeth means that I am really very fussy when it comes to buying toothpaste to use in our household. There is an added complication when I am making my purchase in that I am allergic to some brands of toothpaste. I know, I know I'm weird lol but this is absolutely true. My poor mother had a heck of a time of it when I was growing up as most toothpaste that she brought into the house made me violently sick. So, through process of elimination over the years, I now know that any toothpaste that is in a gel form is generally ok for me to use and will not make me ill. When it came to purchasing a few toiletries and cosmetics to take away on my recent holiday to Spain, I scanned the relevant aisle in my local Tesco supermarket to see if a suitable gel type toothpaste was available for me to buy. I couldn't see any such product so had to abandon my search until the following day, when I spotted a few suitable toothpastes in my local 'Savers' discounted drugstore. My trusty 'Savers' discount store actually had two toothpastes that I felt were suitable - one was a 'Crest' offering and the other was called 'Theramed 2 in 1'. The 2 in 1 element to the name is in relation to the fact that the Theramed product is not only a toothpaste - with fluoride protection of course - but is also a mouthwash. The combination of both of these elements to the product allows it to make the claims "For up to 12 hours freshness and full protection for your teeth." I did originally plan to take a separate toothpaste and mouthwash on holiday with me, and I was therefore quite happy that this toothpaste seemed to be a suitable substitute for a separate mouthwash. I was more than aware of my limited baggage allowance (not to mention my inability to carry said baggage) so with that, my mind was made up and my purchase was duly made. I paid around £1 for the bottle of Theramed 2 in 1 toothpaste and mouthwash, which is a generous 75ml in size. The flavour of my bottle is the 'Cool Mint' variety, which is a bright blue in colour... I find that it looks very similar to a shower gel or something similar! I believe that the Theramed comes in another variety which I think is spearmint or something, but please don't quote me on this! Ok so I bought a bottle of this 2-in-1 toothpaste and took it on holiday with me, as I mentioned. I have since purchased a second bottle from the same store since returning home as I am so impressed with the results. I have found that the toothpaste causes no irritation to my sensitive gums or teeth, which I found to be really surprising as this product is not marketed for use on sensitive teeth, and makes no claims to offer any protection to sensitivity as such. Whilst it has not magically removed or resolved these problems for me, it has most certainly not worsened them, whereas some other brands of toothpaste have. This fact in itself makes the Theramed 2 in 1 a bit of a winner for me! In reference to the "Up to 12 hours freshness claims" I personally wouldn't go that long without brushing my teeth and gums, particularly as they cause me a few problems from time to time, so I cannot really comment on whether this is the case or not. What I can confirm is that I was a bit wary of ditching my mouthwash altogether when I first started using this product. I am used to brushing my teeth and gums then following this with a rinse of a well-known branded mouthwash, but of course this product claims to be a 2 in 1 product and so there was no need for me to do this. I will admit to feeling a bit nervous about bad breath and my dental hygiene in general as I am wary of such things. I can confirm though that my mouth did feel ok for quite some time after brushing, unless I had eaten or drunk something a bit whiffy... Lol! My conscience was clear too whilst I was using the Theramed toothpaste, as I can quite easily see from the reverse of the packaging that this product is a match for its rivals in terms of offering protection against my teeth. The claims are that the Theramed gives "Long-lasting complete protection against: Cavities, Tartar, Discolourations, Plaque & halitosis and Gum Problems". Obviously without a trip to my dentist/hygienist I cannot confirm whether this product has made a lasting impact on my teeth or dental health, but I am 100 % sure that this product does everything that my regular toothpaste does, and more besides! I do also find that a fairly small amount of the gel on my toothbrush is sufficient for clean-feeling teeth and gums, and nice fresh and minty breath. Because such a little amount of the toothpaste is required, I feel that this makes it even more economical and better value, as the bottle lasts for quite a long time really. I am truly converted to this little tub of gel. In case you are wondering, I have suffered no bad 'side -effects' from using this toothpaste in terms of nausea or sickness. I would award it top marks and feel it is a great 2 in 1 toothpaste product. Five star Fluoride Freshness for your Family! Well worth giving it a try, in my opinion! :-D

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

              Don't bother!

Theramed 2 in 1 Whitening, 75ml, £1.30 (depending on where you buy it!) I am a smoker, not a big smoker, but I also drink copious amounts of Diet Coke so I do need to use whitening toothpaste to keep my teeth white. I've tried various brands over the years and have a few favourites. I saw this on offer in Wilko's (I think it was Wilko's anyway?) so thought I'd give it a try. It does look quite impressive. It claims to be a 2 in 1 toothpaste and mouthwash and to give visible results in just 10 days.... Well I've been using it three weeks and have still to see an improvement! It is in an oddly shaped bottle, like a miniature shampoo bottle. You get 75ml and it will last for up to 12 months. When you pour (yes, pour!) it out, you will see that it is a thick liquid rather than a paste or gel. This makes getting it on your toothbrush a little difficult as it seeps through the bristles and can drip off it if you are not quick! When brushing, it doesn't feel like any other whitening products as it is really soft and bubbly and you hardly know that it's there, never mind working. It has a minty taste although not overpowering as some toothpaste can be. After use your teeth do feel clean. With some pastes this feeling lasts for quite a while but this one does not. Within a few minutes your mouth feels back to normal. As for the 'results in 10 days' thing, forget it. I have been using it for three weeks and haven't noticed any change at all. If anything it has made it worse as I haven't used a decent whitening toothpaste for three weeks! One thing I am a little disturbed by is the fact that it gives directions of use for children. It is a well known fact that children shouldn't use adults toothpaste as it contains extra fluoride which can cause Dental fluorosis, which damages and stains children's teeth. So how this toothpaste can be suitable for children when it has a whole host of other things in it to 'whiten and brighten' teeth, I don't know. All in all - Don't bother, and if you do buy it, ignore the label as I really don't think a whitening toothpaste such as this can possibly be good for children's teeth.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

A practical solution to an age old family problem

Theramed toothpaste is a bit different from a lot of the others as it is a gel that comes in a bottle and not in a tube. I received a sample once and, although it pains me to admit it, I really did think it was the cutest little thing I ever saw and used it with glee in the mornings. Since it ran out, I have bought it a number of times as I live in a house where no-one but me can be bothered to squeeze the toothpaste tube in an orderly fashion or close the lid on it (this holds the same mystery for my family as changing the toilet roll or putting washing in the laundry basket). It is a little thing to gripe about but it really puts me off my stride in my slightly bleary mornings to have to wipe off the toothpaste tube to get rid of the dried up bit on the end which I don't want to brush my teeth with and then squeeze the tube back into shape. Theramed totally avoids this problem although I have to say, if you don't close the cap properly before setting it back down, you can still have to rinse off the top but you don't get any dried up product onto your toothbrush. There are a number of different variants and I've tried them all - I find them to be refreshing and I've sure that they live up to the claims they make about their efficiency in looking after your teeth. They do come up on buy one get one free promotions in the supermarkets a couple of times a year, and are worth stocking up on. They cost a fair bit more than supermarket own tubes but then they last for ages as you don't need much and there is no wastage. Plus, once you accept that you likely will never train your family correctly in the art of morning toothbrushing, there is a lot less 'maintenance' of the tube required and rinsing of hardened toothpaste off the sink which is really worth it in itself.

Toothpaste is OK - cleans your teeth & tastes tolerable but, on first use, I flicked the top open with my thumb and this action broke the dispensing nozzle. Slightly worse than this irritation was attempting to contact the company to voice my dissatisfaction - I finally found a web site that had a form for communication but, months on, there's been no response. The obvious conclusion to reach is that Schwarzkopf Henkel aren't interested in individual customers.

I first learnt of this product, when I recieved a free sample through my letter box. It was only a miniature bottle, but it looked really cute! I decided to save it, as our now 11 year old was going into hospital to have her tonsils out, and I thought it would be ideal for her to take with her. She had to stay in over night you see, and so she would need toothpaste. I didn't want her to have to take a big tube, so I packed this in her bag. Since she used it, I have started to buy this product on a more regular basis, because I like the fact that it is a two in one product. A toothpaste and a mouthwash. ********************************PACKAGING********************************** This product comes in a plastic oval(ish) shaped bottle. The plastic is clear, which means you can see the colour of the product inside. This one is blue in colour, as it is the cool mint flavour. The other one is green, but I can not remember what the flavour is! The lid is white in colour and it is a flip top lid, which means it is very easy to open. here is a little ridge were you place your finger, and then you can flip the lid up. The bottle has the title of the product on the front, in big red and blue writing. Underneath this, there is a little information about the product, and then it's flavour. On the back of the bottle, there is a more detailed description of what the product is and what it does. It also tells you the amount that is inside and the makers name and contact details. *****************************WHAT DOES IT DO******************************* Like I said earlier, this product is a two in one product, which means not only does it clean your teeth it helps to freshen your breath/mouth aswell. This product claims to provide long lasting protection for your teeth and your gums, even inbetween brushing. It also works to help prevent the following: *Tooth decay *Gum Disease *Plaque and Tartar build up ***************************THE PRODUCT INSIDE****************************** The product inside the packaging, is a little gel like. It is not really runny but it is not really thick either. It is sky blue in colour and smells very minty. The opening in which it comes out of, is very small. All it takes a little squeeze of the bottle and it runs out of the opening easily. It does not come out very fast, which means no spills. The smell is very fresh. As soon as you open the bottle lid, before you squeeze any out, you can smell it. It is very minty but very fresh. The taste of this product is also very minty. It is not too strong, as long as you don't over fill your toothbrush. A little is all that is needed. It leaves your mouth feeling alive, clean and fresh. *******************************PRICE*************************************** I bought this product from Bodycare in Grimsby. they had two bottles wrapped together and they were being sold as a two for one. I paid £1.59 for this product and I am pleased with this price. This product can also be bought from SuperDrug, Asda, Wilko's, Boots and other good shops that have a large range of these products. *********************************MY OPINION********************************* I like this toothpaste and so does everyone else who uses it in our house. With four kids in the house, I am always checking that they brush their teeth, and I have noticed in the past that if they do not like the toothpaste, they do not brush. Finding a toothpaste that all the kids like was a task, but now I think I have managed it. I have not had any complaints about this product off them and I no longer have to constantly remind them to brush. The smell and taste of this product is refreshing. The fact that you do not need a lot is a good point too. There are six people living in our house and we usual ly go through toothpaste like there i s no tomorrow. The kids have realised that little is more when it comes to this product and so it seems to last us a little longer than the previous ones I have bought. It is a simple product, with simple packaging, that provides good results, for a reasonable price. Not only is your mouth left felling clean but so are your teeth. I love the feel of freshly cleaned teeth, and this is what this product provides. On the whole, a very good family toothpaste, for all ages.

                    Advantages

                    Disadvantages

Imagine the scene you live in a household of five: Three of who are ‘lazy can’t be bothered’ teenagers. Now imagine you enter the bathroom early in the morning to clean your teeth. You grab your toothbrush (thank goodness they make different coloured brushes is what I say!) You reach for the toothpaste and “YUCK” the head is covered in dried up toothpaste. You know that if you squeeze the tube, you’ll either get a blob of the dried up hardened toothpaste OR a little trickle of fresher stuff, but maybe not enough to clean your teeth. This is the scene in our household, and despite my attempt at trying to train the said teenagers into keeping the nozzle clean, alas I failed miserably in my quest, and it remains the same today as it was yesterday! Faced with the terrible scenario what options do you have? 1. Well the first is to clean the head under running fresh water, and gently easy the solid toothpaste from the end of the tube. 2. Buy smaller tubes 3. Buy a new tube every time it gets clogged up 4. Try the new Theramed perfect toothpaste Having tried the first-with little effect: and the second & third (which worked out more expensive): I decided that when I saw the advert on the TV for new Theramed stay clean tube, I had to have it! Popping along to my local Co-op, I spied the new toothpaste on the shelf and pick it up. It was more expensive at around £1.80 for 100ml. The stay clean nozzle seems to work by: pushing out an inner nozzle when the tube is squeezed, thus making it less messy on the outside and fresher toothpaste for all – all round. It works too! No more have we got toothpaste-covered nozzles, to contend with. It’s all very well having a toothpaste which is kept clean, but what about the taste? Well, in all honesty the taste of the toothpaste is not like signal or Aquafresh (I’m a ‘stripy’ toothpaste per son normally), but it’s not that bad either. However at over £1.80 for a tube (compared to my signal or Aquafresh at around half price) it depends on how much you hate those clogged up nozzles? The toothpaste is actually made by hair specialist Schwarzkrof and Henkel, and in general is a brilliant idea. The toothpaste itself offers long lasting protection for healthy gums and teeth. It cleans your teeth and fights bacteria even between brushing (a claim made by a lot of toothpastes these days). Recommend or not? ============== I would probably recommend this for people who like me dislike the clogging nozzles of other toothpastes. It does cost a little more, but compared to whitening toothpastes it is probably works out cheaper. Contains sodium fluoride (1450 ppmF) some ingredients include: Aqua, Sodium saccharin, Sorbitol, and Glycerine. Children under 7 should use a pea-sized amount of the toothpaste, to minimise swallowing. If they use fluoride supplement: check with your dentist. Made in Germany for: Schwarzkrof and Henkel Aylesbury HP21 8HL

I was stopped on my way to the till in Superdrug the other day by this woman. She picked up my 25ml tub of Theramed from my basket and said to me, quite seriously, 'You can't buy better than this toothpaste, you should buy the big bottle. It tastes really nice too!' It was then I began to get quite frightened- a toothpaste attracting nutty people...but I did need a small tube of tooth paste to go on my hols with and as the smallest available this was it. I'm glad now that I didn't put it back despite nutty-woman and have indeed taken her advice and stocked up on said toothpaste. There are 2 flavours but I like the blue one best. It cleans all the grime off my teeth really well and makes my whole mouth actually feel clean. Surprisingly for a toothpaste it also kept my boyfriend's breath fresh- no actually, surprisingly for anything. That tiny 25ml tub lasted the two of us for a week and when I threw it in my bag, not a drop of it spilled unlike normal tubes which get crusted up at the nozzle so you can't put the lid back on, or explode their contents all over my clothes just because I'm on holiday. So, I'm going with the general consensus on this one to say that this toothpaste is very very good and worth the cost which may or may not be higher than other toothpastes on the market. Who cares? You only get 2 sets of teeth after all ;)

Theramed...2-1 toothpaste..a revelation it proved to be. When I was younger, I had a problem with toothpaste. I always though, the taste was too strong and I never used them...my teeth were not that good off as a result you may imagine!! Theramed came out and I decided to give it a go..I found it mild and very refreshing as well. I immediatly took too it and ever since my mum has bought theramed, the whole house uses theramed and all because when I was younger I was fussy! Theramed, comes in green and blue squeezy bottles and seems to last an eternity. The bottle is really very good value for money!! I know my Dentist has too, prsoanlly recommended Theramed and my teeth have been all the better. Also, it is cost effective to buy Theramed as it is 2-1, Toothpaste and Mouthwash in one!!

                          Disadvantages

I find it hard to fathom why people still use other toothpastes since this little gem came on the market? I can’t believe that people still buy tubes of toothpaste? They must like the mangled up bits of metal/plastic in their bathrooms? I can’t believe that we haven’t all been converted to the wonders of Theramed? I can’t believe that I didn’t come up with the idea of toothpaste in a container like this before that other bright spark? Doh!! We first bought Theramed many moons ago, mainly to appease my penchant for all things new! But also because we were heartily sick and tired of scrabbling around for a dried up lump of toothpaste out of a hardly recognisable tube time after time. Not nice :0( ! Add to that the frequent yells of a morning, “Who left the bloody toothpaste top on the bathroom floor again?” as you painfully hobbled across the said room to gratefully slump onto the loo, rubbing your poor foot! So when we saw this on the shelf we thought all our prayers had been answered, we are simple souls! So once again said product hurled itself wantonly into my trolley. I suppose I could really let my shopping trolley do my shopping for me these days with little help from me? Imagine it if you could programme your trolley to do your shopping for you? I would type into mine, “all new and on offer products” and set it on its way you can see it now can’t you, shoppers ducking for cover as these items leapt off the shelves into my trolley!! I could sit in the café with a coffee and a Danish (Pastry you fools, not a real live Dane…!) and relaxingly await its return! However once we had seen Theramed we stocked up on it, 6 bottles on that occasion! It is such a simple idea, the container I mean, and it is a 25ml plastic bottle with a flip-top lid that stays on, for the majority of the toothpastes life! It has been yanked off once or twice and we have just had to remembe r to watch where it fell and retrieve it before someone else’s foot found it! But no more squashed up tubes is the best bit by far!! With 3 teenage sons in the house at one time, my bathroom sink quite often resembled a construction site, bits of metal, plastic and gloopy stripes of gunge slithering down the sides! When we first bought it, it came in 2 flavours. My local supermarket then decided that they were no longer going to sell the brand we liked, the fresh mint, so for some time we were reduced to the trials and tribulations of mangled metal and sore feet of a morning/nightime. Then by chance I discovered that good old Wilkinson’s shops sell it!! Hooray!! I now have 6 spare bottles in my bathroom cupboard! All I need now is for all of our teeth to fall out and us to have to wear dentures!! Wonder if the dog might like it?? He could do with fresher breath at times!! It says on the container that it cleans teeth and freshens breath at the same time, good selling point. It says on the back that the “complete care formula protects against plaque, tartar, tooth decay and gum disease” Well it does. See I am a tad on the naughty side and I do not go to my dentist as often as I should. I wonder how many of you are cringing right now because you are the same? Its nothing against my dentist, he is a dream…sigh!! But there is a limit to how often you want to gaze up a hunky medical blokes nose, don’t you think? So I go have a check up when I really can’t leave it any longer. Like when you get a letter saying that you are registered with this dentist and that if you don’t attend the next appointment, in the place of the 2 that you failed to attend then you will be exterminated from their records, then you have to go through all the hassle of finding yourself another hunk to gaze up at! The last check up I had was 15 months after the one before that…slap ma wrists! And yet once again I did not need to have a single filling. Yes I did have them cleaned and polished again, as I usually do (anything to stay looking up at him a for a bit longer!) but even the yanking off of the tartar took less time and was almost bearable! We as a family have been using Theramed for several years now and not one member of the family has had to have any major dental treatment in all that time. Except for the unavoidable braces that middle son had a few years back. So I really do think that us using Theramed has gone some way to this result. It is not all that expensive either, at Wilko’s it retails at £1.40 for a 25ml container. Like all toothpastes you only need to use a pea-sized blob so it is very good value for money. I will never go back to toothpaste in a traditional tube now, even if they made one chocolate flavoured! This is far too convenient a product, and it works!! I could go into all the ingredients it contains, but I am sure you are not at all interested in that? It is made by Schwarzkopf & Henkel (there and I thought the former only made hair care products??) and you can find it at all good branches of Wilkinsons, but hurry before I get there first! Oh its ok I still have 6 bottles to get through as yet! Thank you for reading this, my latest offering! Kazz!!
