      Boots smile toothpaste

Recently I took a short weekend trip to Amsterdam to visit a friend which was lovely. As I was flying on Easyjet I only took a handluggage bag with me as I did not want to pay extra for a bag so I knew I had to take a lot less beauty products with me for the weekend. I decided to only purchase a small tube of toothpaste when I got to the airport as this would save time space and money. I had a quick look in Boots and found this small tube of Boots own toothpaste that was a perfect size, only 20ml but plenty enough to last for the whole weekend but small enough to not take up much space in my make up bag and also be well under the airlines 100ml liquids policy so I could take it home with me again for another trip if I needed to. The little tube only cost me £0.50 which I thought was a very good price too so I was happy to purchase it.

This toothpaste from Boots is from their Smile total care range and is described as a fresh mint fluoride toothpaste which fights decay, plaque and tartar.

The toothpaste itself is just a plain white colour but I found it to be very minty and fresh and really kept my breath nice and clean and fresh for quite a long while afterwards which was nice. The effects seemed to last a lot longer than other toothpastes I have used such as the branded toothpastes like Colgate and Aquafresh. In fact, according to the tube this toothpaste offers 24 hour protection and I can see it being quite a hardworking toothpaste too.

I like the way my teeth felt after using this toothpaste too. My teeth felt really nice and clean and when I ran my tongue over them I got that really nice squeaky clean feeling.

The packaging of this toothpaste looks a bit boring and a bit cheap if I'm honest but then own brands often do. It's quite a simple packaging with not much of a design and not too much information about the toothpaste but then this toothpaste is a bit cheaper than the other brands because you are not paying for the fancy packaging so it doesn't really bother me.

I think once I have finished my big tube of toothpaste I would definitely consider buying more of this Boots smile toothpaste as I really like the way it performed.

      Disadvantages

A lovely toothpaste which keeps breath fresh and protects against decay and plaque etc

I recently bought this toothpaste as it was on offer and Boots. I'm generally not very loyal to any one brand and will go for whatever is cheaper, but I like to feel my toothpaste is doing more then just freshening my breath and so bought this one as it claims it also helps prevent decay, gum problems, plaque and tartar, which all sounds good!

The biggest appeal of this product to me is the packaging, rather then the traditional squeeze tube, it is housed in a hard plastic red circular tube, which has a pump on the top which you press down to release a small amount of toothpaste. As you use more and more of the product the base of the tube rises up, squeezing every last drop of toothpaste to the end. No more folding over traditional toothpaste tubes trying to get the last remaining bits!

The toothpaste itself is white and smells mildly minty, although not too strong which I personally prefer. It's easy to apply the right amount to the toothbrush as the pump action will only dispense a small amount of product onto the toothbrush! After that its the same as any other toothpaste in terms of method, put it on the toothbrush and brush for two minutes! This toothpaste is great as it doesn't taste too minty or menthol, which I personally don't like, but it is freshening enough that I feel I have definitely banished any morning breath after using it!

The toothpaste comes in a 100ml tube and is around the 2-3 pound mark in Boots, I would advise picking this up when it is on offer, which it frequently seems to be, to get even better value for you money. I find this tube will last just over a month.

The one thing to note about this toothpaste is that it does not claim to have any whitening properties, so if you have real trouble with staining it may not be the best option for you, otherwise, I give it 5/5!

        See review.

Having healthy teeth is just as important as having a healthy body for me, and I like to brush my teeth after every time I have eaten as I once had such an awful experience at the dentist, it made me scared and so I have tried to make sure that my teeth do not have to go through all the suffering again.

I bought this tooth paste from Boots, as I had some vouchers to use, it comes in a red cardboard box and the tube of paste is a good size of 100ml for £1.39 recently, it is a fresh mint fluoride paste, and it is a very nice paste, it feels nice and fresh in the mouth while brushing onto the teeth with the brush, it does not burn or sting my gums, as I find some tooth pastes can tend to be a little too strong but this one is quite a mild one, I felt it working very well immediately I brushed my teeth and after I rinsed the paste from my mouth, I could feel my teeth felt nice and clean and when I run my tongue over them, it felt nice and smooth.

It helps fight tooth decay and it helps protect the gums, it also helps to fight tartar and plaque, I use a tongue brush too, when I brush my teeth and I used some of this paste onto the brush, and I brushed it gently over my tongue and the paste felt nice and fresh on it too as well as the teeth.

Only a little is needed of this paste in my opinion, as it is quite a thick paste, it has a very nice smooth texture and it smells nice and refreshing, it is easy to push from the tube and place onto the tooth brush, I think for the price it is a lovely paste and I like the quality of this one and it is very good value for money.

The tube can be recycled and fits nicely into a bathroom cabinet or a holder for tooth paste in the bathroom too.

I really think this paste is very suitable for my liking, it is a nice mild paste and I think it is worth the money, I like the feel of it on my teeth and it has a nice softness when water is added to it, to rinse from my mouth, some pastes tend to stay on the teeth while rinsing but just falls away from the teeth perfectly.

I recommend this one for anyone to try as I think it is a super paste and ideal for a family, as I think it would be suitable for any age and I have been pleased with the results it has had for my teeth.

        I give it 5 stars.

Thank you for reading my review.

          A great budget toothpaste

I bought the Boots Smile Totalcare Toothpaste (100ml) for the bargain price of £1 not too long ago. I got it because it matches my current mouthwash. How sad! The toothpaste comes in distinctive red and white packaging (a bonus if you're a Sunderland supporter like me!) and contains instructions which I won't repeat here - I'm sure you all know how to brush your teeth!

The toothpaste comes in Freshmint flavour and is supposed to fight decay, plaque and tartar as well as freshen breath. I always find it rather amusing how makers of toothpaste seem to compare their products to small armies defending fortress-like teeth from evil little warriors in the form of bacteria! Or maybe I've just been thinking about this too much! The toothpaste contains fluoride and offers all day protection against bacteria.

The toothpaste opens with a convenient flip lid and is completely white in colour. The taste is minty but quite mild, you aren't going to be spitting it out in horror!

Since using the toothpaste I've noticed that my teeth are just as clean and fresh-feeling as they were when I used other toothpastes. They aren't particularly sensitive anyway, but the toothpaste certainly doesn't make them more so. The product certainly doesn't feel or look cheap.

Overall this is a great budget buy toothpaste. It isn't going to turn your teeth white or anything like that but if you just want to clean your teeth you really can't go wrong for £1. The toothpaste is also available in a travel size tube for 59p so you can take it on holiday! A great toothpaste.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Great range of toothpastes which match the leading brands in terms of performance.

I bought a small, travel size tube of Boots 'Smile' toothpaste to take on holiday with me recently, it cost me the bargain price of 59p for a small 20ml tube which was perfect for taking away.

I had not used Boots own range of toothpaste products before but at that price I figured that it would do the job just fine while we were away, in fact I actually preferred the taste to my usual toothpaste and have now switched to Smile as our normal brand at home.

The paste is entirely white and they do the full range of variations, much the same as any other toothpaste brand, whitening, total protection and the like, personally I tend to buy their sensitive range as my teeth can be prone to bouts of sensitivity every once in a while.

Because the range is so much better value I can afford to buy the sensitive version every time rather than just when my teeth are playing up and so far this consistent use of the specific paste for sensitivity seems to be keeping any bouts at bay.

Every so often Boots have the Smile range on special offer so that the large 100ml tubes are £1 each and I tend to always stock up when this is the case. Normal prices are around £1.79 for the 100ml tubes so it is a good saving when they are on offer. The smaller, 50ml tubes are around 79p normally.

I find this paste tastes much nicer than my previous brand (colgate) because it is less harshly minty, it has more of a baking powder taste to it like you get with the much more expensive Arm and Hammer range, I find it more pleasent to use because of this.

In terms of treating my sensitivity and keeping my teeth white this product ticks all the boxes for me and gives better value for money too.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

99p for a clean mouth every day!

If you are like me, you expect most cheap and own brand toothpastes to be yucky and not very good, so I was pleasantly suprised with this toothpaste.

I bought it in Boots when I was having a bit of a tight week, as it was only 99p and it was on buy one get free, so I thought why not? I am glad I did, as it saved me some money and it actually tastes quite nice.

It has a nice minty fresh taste, and cleans my teeth really well. I was expecting it to taste horrible, as I normally only use brand name toothpastes, but I do like the taste of this toothpaste, and I will be sticking with it from now on.

The toothpaste comes in a red box, with silver and white writing and patterns on it, making it look quite flash, so it looks pretty nice in your bathroom, always a plus to have nice looking products I think.

There isn't really much else I could say about toothpastes, so I think you should give this stuff a try for yourself, at 99p its a great buy, and it lasts for ages too.
So for a nice, fresh clean mouth, this toothpaste is the way to go, I promise.

Buy it, try it. You'll be pleasantly surprised...

I noticed the smile range at Boots recently due to the fact that the lovely advantage card machine delivered a 50 points (worth 50p) voucher to me.

          **My choice***
I went to look at the range and found the cheapest toothpaste was 59p so with the voucher it would have been 9p! But spendthrift that I am I opted for the sensitive toothpaste in the range (pink box) at 99p for a 50ml tube (and remember the voucher)!

          **New brand for me**
I'm usually loyal to Colgate, I don't take kindly to new toothpastes as they all taste weird to me, but I really think Boots have got it right with this one. The minty taste is not over powering and the sensitive formula really works!

          **What's in it?***
This is a toothpaste I would return to. The box says it has fluride built in and fights deacay, plaque and tartar, helps protect gums and freshens breath. It also says it's a 24hour formula but I haven't truly tested this yet as I am a morning and night kinda girl when it comes to brushing my teeth (instilled in me from a very young age).

          **Can kids use it?**
Children can also use this brand when using a pea sized amount and supervised to minimise swallowing.

          **Verdict?**
I like it! Well done Boots, a reasonably priced brand (especially with the voucher!) and nice tasting toothpaste that works well. Go try it for yourself.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

A fresh minty toothpaste and a good price

When it comes to toothpaste we have always been a Colgate family, usually Colgate Total. However, looking along the shelves in Boots a few weeks ago I noticed Boots' own brand Smile Totalcare toothpaste. At £1 against Colgate's £1.99 for 100ml tube I decided to try it.

The toothpaste tube comes inside a cardboard box which is red with bright yellow writing. The tube itself is plastic like other brands with a flip top lid. It can also be bought in a pump action tube which comes out a little more expensive.

I have tried other own brand toothpastes and found them either too minty, too chalky or too sweet. I was therefore pleasantly surprised to find that Smile has a nice fresh minty taste which is very similar to Colgate. I was a bit worried about what the rest of the family would think but happily, they liked it too.

It contains fluoride which helps to protect against decay, plaque and tartar and so is good for general oral hygiene.

As with all other toothpastes, only a small amount is needed on the toothbrush to clean a whole mouthful of teeth so a tube lasts quite a long time.

I am very happy with Smile Totalcare and find its fresh minty taste very pleasant and the price very attractive. Recommended.
